Why do you refuse to rise and what's it costing you to ignore the calling on your life? Alright, alright, alright, all right, all right, all right. This is yours truly, joby J Sumner, coming at you with another episode of the Breakthrough Boss Podcast, the Daily Recharge and today's topic. Are you ready to rise? So we get into this thing of what's our purpose and what's our calling in life. And the reality is this your purpose and your calling is more than just one thing, a calling in life. And the reality is this your purpose and your calling is more than just one thing. Even though most of us have been conditioned to believe that we only have one purpose or one calling in life, I would highly advise you to reframe that and reconsider that. You have many different purposes in life. I do think that we have core purposes in life, and what I mean by core purposes are the things that we are called to specifically do with the specific purpose for a higher power, and so the question that we pose and that we must ask ourselves is you know, why do we refuse to rise, and what's it costing us to keep ignoring the calling on our life? You know, this is something that, if we look at it. Every man wants to know what their purpose and their path in life is. Every man is seeking and searching and always looking for that next level of fulfillment of what his purpose is in life. And for most men, money without purpose really is pointless. For most men and what I mean by that is this Most men, the desire and the object of money is to acquire more things. So if you go beyond necessity and you have more than enough money and you don't have purpose and fulfillment, for most men that money is now not as meaningful as if you have the money and the purpose and the fulfillment. And not to make this, this topic or this daily recharge about money, it's just that sometimes we think we want more money or want more material things, and nothing wrong with that. We all have those desires, that's a. However, I would challenge you to consider that what you really want is more money and more fulfillment, more money and more purpose, or more of whatever you desire to have, and more purpose in your path.

So we're going to go down this lane a little bit and we're going to start with the reality that most men are afraid of the calling on their lives. And I'll take it a step further. Most men are afraid of what we call the voice, and the voice is the divine creator. Some call this Christ, some call this Buddha, some call this Allah, some call this Allah. Whatever you resonate and believe in, let me say this, first and foremost, as your faith. I respect that. I respect that, I acknowledge that there is a divine creator and a divine voice and that that voice has placed a calling on your life, and the reality is that most men, myself included, for many years ignored that calling from the voice.

The reality is that, men, we are afraid of that voice from our divine creator. We are afraid to answer the calling on our lives and we have to look at why are we afraid of the voice? Why? Why are we afraid to accept the calling on our lives? Is it because we've been conditioned that we can never be one of the chosen few who can rise to greatness and do great things and impact lives? Is it because we don't truly believe that we can truly live what we call the have-it-all lifestyle or an extraordinary quality of life that is only reserved for a select few? Those are the chosen few.

I think we have a lot of hidden fears around answering the calling on our lives, and I think we have a lot of hidden fears around who this voice is. And again, I have done this myself. You hear that calling on your life. You hear this voice calling you and you know you have more, you know you're designed for more, you know you want more, and yet we cower away from it, we ignore it, we tune this voice out, we think louder, we won't be still, we won't sit still, we won't quiet our minds, all so we can ignore this powerful voice. And the reality is this Is that that voice is just as much a part of you as you are a part of that voice. That voice is a part of your divine creator, and so we look at the fact that we are divine creators, this truth, this noble if you will, and the conditioned mind wants to ignore. The conditioned mind is afraid of it, because this is far from what we have been conditioned to believe. You have been conditioned to believe that you are separate from a divine creator or the divine creator. You have been conditioned and we have been conditioned to think we are separate. Nothing could be further from the truth. We are part and one with the divine creator, and if this challenges your beliefs, then that is part of my purpose as well, because I want to trigger you so that you begin to break through and awaken and look at some new frames and some new perspectives that will help you to begin to listen to this voice that is calling you, this holy voice that is calling you to your purpose and your path in life as a divine creator and producer.

The next reason that men often ignore this voice or deny this voice is that we like to pretend that we can do all things on our own. It feels good to feel like we're the leading actor in a big screen movie. It feels good to feel like we are the hero and the myths and the legends we have read about. And yet the reality is this all heroes need help. The great heroes of ancient text and all holy scripts they needed help. So we like to pretend that we don't need the help of the divine. We like to pretend we can do it all on our own. We like to pretend we don't even need other men or our spouse or our girlfriends or the people who God or the universe has put into our lives, and this keeps us in a place of denial. It keeps us in a place where we are unwilling to surrender and to listen to what this voice is guiding and instructing us to do, because we think we can do it all on our own. And this, in my opinion, is a great arrogance of man, perhaps one of the downfalls of the male ego. But we can also choose to go into a different lane and stop pretending and start accepting and start listening and start hearing what this divine voice is calling us to do, because this divine voice is always speaking and guiding us and directing us.

The reality is, oftentimes we drown it out listening to music all the time, listening to the voices of others all the time, always staying busy, always on the go of others all the time, always staying busy, always on the go, or simply just being afraid and not wanting to listen, because oftentimes we really don't know if we can answer the great calling that we desire to have. And it brings up a lot of fears for us that we have been denying and ignoring and covering up for years and years and years and years and decades and decades. And oh, this began before you were even born. Did I mention that? See, this is why men are always preoccupied. It's a way to ignore that calling, because there is often from the mindset, from the mind, a fear of that calling.

It's just the conditioned mind, though. It's the conditioned mind because this goes against everything we've been taught about who we are, what we can accomplish, who we can be, what we can do, what we can have, what we can contribute, what we can create. It goes against many of these old traditions and upbringings and beliefs and frames. We have to begin to destroy those old frames and those old ideologies if we're going to accept the truth of who we are and the calling on our lives from the voice.

The last thing I'll say is this is that in order for men to truly hear this calling on their lives from the voice, we have to begin to surrender and seek that voice.

We have to be still and create a sacred space to listen to this divine voice, because only when we create a sacred space and only when we still and quiet our mind and surrender to this voice will we be able to begin to answer the calling on our life that puts us on that path and in that purpose, that divine purpose as a divine creator and producer, to go forth and to do the great things we were born to do and to create those things we were born to create and to contribute those things we were born to contribute.

Most men, my friends, that is a very daunting and scary thing, although at our core, this is what we desire ultimately to have, in addition to all of the other external desires we have. It is the fulfillment and the calling on our lives from the voice. So my question for you today is will you rise and will you reap the rewards of answering the calling on your life from the voice?
