Beyond the Back
Dr. Mike Corcoran and Heather Keating, CVT will open the doors to the treatment area and explain what happens when your pet goes back for tests like radiographs, bloodwork or ultrasound.
We'll also take time on the podcast to talk about different medical conditions to help pet parents understand better how to help their pets.
Finally, we'll have episodes where we talk to specialists about how their practice is different, and what they offer.
Beyond the Back
Episode 17 - Pancreatitis: Trim the Fat, But Don't Feed It
We have a few holidays this week. The biggest is Thanksgiving, a celebration of the harvest. It's a religious holiday for Christians and Wiccans alike. We gather together and share the bounties in the fall. Food, drinks, the big game, family and friends.
On Friday, we go after the huge sales or we celebrate Native American Heritage Day.
All of these festivities involve food, which is why this is pancreatitis season in veterinary hospitals!
For Native American Heritage Day, we here at the podcast would like to acknowledge the Suisunes tribe from where Dr. Corcoran lives in California and the Pawtucket people of Massachusetts where Heather lives.
For most episodes, we share images on social media to supplement the information we share.
