Yesterday we talked about getting the focus of"},{"startTime":62.21,"endTime":66.01,"body":"ourselves and truly just blessing the Lord and getting a time where"},{"startTime":66.01,"endTime":69.85,"body":"we get to worship God and thank him for how good he is."},{"startTime":70.09,"endTime":73.81,"body":"And today I have a super fun topic. And even the"},{"startTime":73.81,"endTime":77.61,"body":"name of the podcast is kind of funny. It's ironic and it's"},{"startTime":77.61,"endTime":81.41,"body":"called Introverts Energized by People. And as if you"},{"startTime":81.41,"endTime":84.97,"body":"know, introverts are not going to be energized by people. They enter,"},{"startTime":85.13,"endTime":88.57,"body":"they get their energy back by being alone, by being by"},{"startTime":88.57,"endTime":92.19,"body":"themselves for a little bit. No noise from the. No person and"},{"startTime":92.19,"endTime":95.99,"body":"nothing. But I find it funny that sometimes,"},{"startTime":95.99,"endTime":99.79,"body":"believe it or not, no matter what your personality is, the way that you can"},{"startTime":99.79,"endTime":103.11,"body":"get refreshed is by getting around people. And"},{"startTime":103.35,"endTime":107.149,"body":"not just any people, but your friends, your closest friends, the people that you"},{"startTime":107.149,"endTime":110.39,"body":"know that are there for you, that you love, that you can have a good"},{"startTime":110.39,"endTime":113.95,"body":"time with. And I've been this"},{"startTime":113.95,"endTime":117.76,"body":"year we've been intentional about who. Who's in"},{"startTime":117.76,"endTime":121.32,"body":"our life. Me and my husband have been talking about this. This has been a"},{"startTime":121.32,"endTime":125.0,"body":"topic of conversation for us and we've discussed, like, who are our close"},{"startTime":125.0,"endTime":128.52,"body":"friends that we truly love to spend time? Who are the people that we"},{"startTime":128.52,"endTime":132.16,"body":"truly want to spend some time with this year and just build a"},{"startTime":132.16,"endTime":135.72,"body":"relationship. Because you've probably heard us say, but here at Metro Life"},{"startTime":135.72,"endTime":139.28,"body":"Church, our church, our core values, our relationship with"},{"startTime":139.28,"endTime":143.04,"body":"means we build everything on relationship, relationship with the"},{"startTime":143.04,"endTime":146.79,"body":"Lord, relationship with each other. And no matter what personality you"},{"startTime":146.79,"endTime":150.51,"body":"have, it truly is about relationship. And"},{"startTime":150.51,"endTime":154.15,"body":"I can say that relationships have been the biggest blessing"},{"startTime":154.15,"endTime":157.91,"body":"in my life to this day. And even though I can consider myself,"},{"startTime":157.91,"endTime":161.59,"body":"I can put myself in the introvert category. Honestly, I've changed"},{"startTime":161.59,"endTime":165.39,"body":"throughout the years. I don't even want to put myself in a category. But if"},{"startTime":165.39,"endTime":169.23,"body":"you feel like sometimes you need to be away from people for a little"},{"startTime":169.23,"endTime":172.89,"body":"bit, let me challenge you. And this here, if you're"},{"startTime":172.89,"endTime":176.69,"body":"finding yourself, like you said, we were tired, and there's things that"},{"startTime":177.09,"endTime":180.93,"body":"you're like, okay, I just don't know why I'm feeling this way."},{"startTime":181.25,"endTime":184.41,"body":"I know that you think the answer is not people, but believe it or not,"},{"startTime":184.41,"endTime":188.13,"body":"getting around the right people will give you the right energy,"},{"startTime":188.13,"endTime":191.57,"body":"will energize you, will refresh you. Getting"},{"startTime":191.81,"endTime":195.61,"body":"around friends that you can just have a good laugh, Going to coffee and talking"},{"startTime":195.61,"endTime":199.17,"body":"about things that are just funny. And you"},{"startTime":199.17,"endTime":202.65,"body":"just get a light moment that is joyful, that is fun."},{"startTime":202.89,"endTime":206.69,"body":"It could really put a lot of gas in your tank. It doesn't always have"},{"startTime":206.69,"endTime":210.49,"body":"to be super spiritual. Sometimes the biggest blessings really come"},{"startTime":210.49,"endTime":214.05,"body":"through our relationships. And so there is this"},{"startTime":214.05,"endTime":217.49,"body":"verse. So, yes, I'm gonna get to the verse. And the verse is Genesis"},{"speaker":"2","startTime":217.49,"endTime":220.81,"body":"18. And it says, it's not good for man to be alone."},{"speaker":"2","startTime":221.13,"endTime":224.64,"body":"I will make him a helpmate. And we know that this"},{"speaker":"2","startTime":224.64,"endTime":228.48,"body":"verse is made for when God made"},{"speaker":"2","startTime":229.12,"endTime":232.88,"body":"Adam and Eve. And I do not want to take this verse out of"},{"speaker":"2","startTime":232.88,"endTime":236.48,"body":"context at all or out of what the Bible intended it to be."},{"speaker":"2","startTime":236.64,"endTime":240.4,"body":"But I love that it says it's not good for man to be alone."},{"speaker":"2","startTime":240.56,"endTime":244.2,"body":"And I think that really is for all of us. It's not good"},{"speaker":"2","startTime":244.2,"endTime":247.76,"body":"that we are alone. And sometimes when we are a little"},{"speaker":"2","startTime":247.76,"endTime":251.5,"body":"tired or a little disappointed, our natural self, no matter"},{"speaker":"2","startTime":251.58,"endTime":255.3,"body":"what personality you are, you really do pull back, at least for me. I"},{"speaker":"2","startTime":255.3,"endTime":259.06,"body":"know you start to just not want to be around anybody. You think"},{"speaker":"2","startTime":259.06,"endTime":262.7,"body":"that the way you need a rest is just by having alone time. You don't"},{"speaker":"2","startTime":262.7,"endTime":266.42,"body":"want anybody. You don't want people to know what's going on. You need to process"},{"speaker":"2","startTime":266.42,"endTime":270.18,"body":"it by yourself. I don't want to talk unless I'm ready to. And"},{"speaker":"2","startTime":270.18,"endTime":273.74,"body":"I know those are thoughts or phrases that you might feel like"},{"speaker":"2","startTime":273.98,"endTime":277.42,"body":"are just who you are. But, guys, it's not good for us to be"},{"speaker":"2","startTime":277.42,"endTime":281.18,"body":"alone. And God has made people in our life to bless"},{"speaker":"2","startTime":281.18,"endTime":284.86,"body":"us, to refresh us, to bring us energy, people that are"},{"speaker":"2","startTime":284.86,"endTime":288.22,"body":"our biggest blessing. And so let's not reject"},{"speaker":"2","startTime":288.94,"endTime":292.62,"body":"the importance of people. And so I want to challenge you."},{"speaker":"2","startTime":293.1,"endTime":296.94,"body":"Find a friend or two this week that you can go out with"},{"speaker":"2","startTime":296.94,"endTime":300.74,"body":"for coffee or at least put a Date on the calendar where you"},{"speaker":"2","startTime":300.74,"endTime":304.46,"body":"can do things you love, whether it's shopping, maybe it's guys and you guys just"},{"speaker":"2","startTime":304.46,"endTime":308.25,"body":"want to go play some sports and, and get together and do"},{"speaker":"2","startTime":308.25,"endTime":311.85,"body":"that. Whatever it is that makes you happy."},{"speaker":"2","startTime":312.25,"endTime":315.29,"body":"You don't have to do it for a full day. Do it for an hour."},{"speaker":"2","startTime":315.45,"endTime":319.05,"body":"Put it on the calendar. Reach out to that friend and plan"},{"speaker":"2","startTime":319.13,"endTime":322.81,"body":"something to build that relationship that you know is going to"},{"speaker":"2","startTime":322.81,"endTime":326.61,"body":"be. It's going to give you energy. Don't isolate yourself. Do"},{"speaker":"2","startTime":326.61,"endTime":330.13,"body":"not pull back even if you are tired this year. Do not give"},{"speaker":"2","startTime":330.13,"endTime":333.61,"body":"into being alone because it's not good for us to to be"},{"speaker":"2","startTime":333.61,"endTime":337.41,"body":"alone. Get around the right people. And maybe this for"},{"speaker":"2","startTime":337.41,"endTime":341.09,"body":"you means saying goodbye to some old friendships and"},{"speaker":"2","startTime":341.09,"endTime":344.81,"body":"now getting around the right people that you know will be good for your life."},{"speaker":"2","startTime":345.05,"endTime":348.69,"body":"And so guys, let's do it together.
