And that is my"},{"startTime":51.93,"endTime":55.77,"body":"desire to see all of you feel like you know exactly what it is"},{"startTime":55.85,"endTime":59.69,"body":"you can say in your prayer, who you're speaking to, when to pray,"},{"startTime":60.01,"endTime":63.53,"body":"and today, I want you to know why. Thessalonians 5, 16, 17 says,"},{"startTime":67.85,"endTime":71.37,"body":"Rejoice always and pray without ceasing."},{"startTime":72.33,"endTime":75.77,"body":"Prayer and a prayer life is fantastic"},{"startTime":76.25,"endTime":79.38,"body":"until you start to reach that season where"},{"startTime":79.86,"endTime":83.46,"body":"God isn't answering your prayers. You know, it's very common"},{"startTime":84.02,"endTime":87.78,"body":"in the walk with God to sometimes feel like God is just"},{"startTime":87.78,"endTime":91.5,"body":"not answering what you are praying to him. It's"},{"startTime":91.5,"endTime":95.34,"body":"very common to feel like you have not heard the voice of God in"},{"startTime":95.34,"endTime":99.06,"body":"a little while. And that sometimes can drive you to"},{"startTime":99.06,"endTime":102.86,"body":"question, well, why am I even praying? Let me first reassure"},{"startTime":102.86,"endTime":105.75,"body":"you, that is a very common thought to have."},{"startTime":106.71,"endTime":109.67,"body":"And let me second explain to you a story about my daughter"},{"startTime":109.91,"endTime":113.59,"body":"Gianna, who is three years old. And do you see these wrinkles"},{"startTime":113.59,"endTime":117.23,"body":"here? When I smile, you see the wrinkles. I didn't have those three years"},{"startTime":117.23,"endTime":120.71,"body":"ago. My daughter Gianna has given me these wrinkles. She's"},{"startTime":120.71,"endTime":124.47,"body":"amazing. Don't get me wrong. I love her to death, but she has"},{"startTime":124.47,"endTime":128.23,"body":"entered the why stage. Everything is why."},{"startTime":128.79,"endTime":131.92,"body":"Why are we going to the movies? Why are we. Why are we eating chicken?"},{"startTime":132.08,"endTime":135.72,"body":"Why are you driving? Why are we going to the park? Everything. Why is the"},{"startTime":135.72,"endTime":139.36,"body":"sky blue? And the small things. You know what?"},{"startTime":139.36,"endTime":143.08,"body":"I got time, Gia. Let's talk about it. The sky is blue because that's how"},{"startTime":143.08,"endTime":146.879,"body":"God designed it. We are going to the movies because we like to go watch"},{"startTime":146.879,"endTime":150.6,"body":"movies. We're eating chicken because it's good for you. So I'll answer"},{"startTime":150.6,"endTime":154.32,"body":"all of those small questions. Well, every once in a while, she"},{"startTime":154.32,"endTime":157.85,"body":"will ask me a big question, like, mommy,"},{"startTime":157.93,"endTime":161.69,"body":"where's your grandfather? Well, my grandfather passed away five"},{"startTime":161.69,"endTime":165.49,"body":"years ago. So how the heck do I answer that question to a 3"},{"startTime":165.49,"endTime":169.25,"body":"year old? So those questions I"},{"startTime":169.25,"endTime":172.49,"body":"have to look at Gianna and I have to tell her, gianna,"},{"startTime":173.13,"endTime":176.81,"body":"when you are older, I will tell you why. And"},{"startTime":176.81,"endTime":180.57,"body":"again she'll go, why? And I'll say, because, Gia,"},{"startTime":180.57,"endTime":184.26,"body":"you won't understand it and you'll keep asking more questions."},{"startTime":184.9,"endTime":188.66,"body":"So I'm gonna wait because I love you and I wanna protect your heart."},{"startTime":188.9,"endTime":192.66,"body":"I'm gonna wait until you're a little bit older because then you'll"},{"startTime":192.66,"endTime":196.26,"body":"be able to understand that one big"},{"startTime":196.42,"endTime":200.02,"body":"question. And here's the beautiful thing about"},{"startTime":200.66,"endTime":204.42,"body":"this whole scenario. It's building a"},{"startTime":216.59,"endTime":219.95,"body":"relationship between me and Gia that she can trust me."},{"startTime":220.43,"endTime":224.23,"body":"That if she asks me a small question, I'll answer her and I'll give"},{"startTime":224.23,"endTime":227.91,"body":"her the best explanation that I can give. It's building"},{"startTime":227.91,"endTime":231.63,"body":"this rapport between my daughter and I so that when she gets"},{"startTime":231.63,"endTime":235.31,"body":"older and more mature and I notice that she's able to"},{"startTime":235.31,"endTime":239.03,"body":"understand bigger concepts, then I can answer"},{"startTime":239.51,"endTime":243.35,"body":"her question. You know, every small"},{"startTime":243.43,"endTime":247.27,"body":"conversation between her and I is necessary"},{"startTime":247.51,"endTime":251.11,"body":"for her maturity. And your small"},{"startTime":251.19,"endTime":254.95,"body":"prayer with God today will help you with your"},{"startTime":254.95,"endTime":258.51,"body":"big prayers tomorrow. Because it's"},{"startTime":258.51,"endTime":262.07,"body":"growing your relationship with God for the days you really"},{"startTime":262.39,"endTime":265.79,"body":"need prayer. It's growing your faith,"},{"startTime":266.11,"endTime":269.95,"body":"it's growing your trust in God in small increments every"},{"startTime":270.35,"endTime":273.55,"body":"single day. And the beautiful thing is"},{"startTime":273.79,"endTime":277.55,"body":"God answering the small prayers will assure you"},{"startTime":277.71,"endTime":280.99,"body":"that God will answer the big prayers. Because"},{"startTime":281.39,"endTime":285.11,"body":"God provided for the small things. I trust him to provide me"},{"startTime":285.11,"endTime":288.51,"body":"for the big things. Because he helped me with my groceries last week."},{"startTime":289.09,"endTime":292.73,"body":"I know he's going to help me with my healing this week. Because every"},{"startTime":292.73,"endTime":296.53,"body":"single day I'm meeting with God and I have a friendship with"},{"startTime":296.53,"endTime":300.37,"body":"him. I'm a daughter of God. And you know why? Because I"},{"startTime":300.69,"endTime":304.13,"body":"hear it from him in my prayer time with him every"},{"startTime":304.609,"endTime":307.81,"body":"single day. So if he's not answering your prayers,"},{"startTime":308.37,"endTime":311.97,"body":"it could simply mean he just wants you to grow some things first."},{"startTime":312.69,"endTime":316.42,"body":"He maybe just wants you to grow your faith in him, your understanding of"},{"startTime":316.42,"endTime":320.02,"body":"him, your understanding of the season. He wants to grow your"},{"startTime":320.02,"endTime":323.86,"body":"maturity. He wants to grow your vulnerability. He wants"},{"startTime":323.86,"endTime":327.38,"body":"to grow your friendship group. He wants you to grow in your humility."},{"startTime":328.26,"endTime":331.82,"body":"If God is not answering your prayers right now, it simply"},{"startTime":331.82,"endTime":335.54,"body":"means he's working on you. And in the right time,"},{"startTime":335.78,"endTime":339.26,"body":"when he sees that you're ready. When he sees that the season is"},{"startTime":339.26,"endTime":342.71,"body":"ready, he will make everything clear to you."},{"startTime":343.59,"endTime":347.27,"body":"You know, he also wants to see if you'll keep coming back to"},{"startTime":347.27,"endTime":351.07,"body":"him when you're not seeing answered prayers. Because that's when"},{"startTime":351.07,"endTime":354.71,"body":"you have a true friendship with God, that you're going to show up and pray"},{"startTime":354.79,"endTime":358.51,"body":"even when you're a little confused by what he's doing. Another thing"},{"startTime":358.51,"endTime":362.07,"body":"to keep in mind, listeners, is that your prayer time"},{"startTime":362.15,"endTime":365.63,"body":"can also be used to pray for other people. And I would"},{"startTime":365.63,"endTime":368.9,"body":"challenge you every single day. When you do pray,"},{"startTime":369.3,"endTime":372.34,"body":"just pray for one person in your life"},{"startTime":372.82,"endTime":376.62,"body":"that needs God, that needs Jesus. And God, I pray that you will grow their love"},{"startTime":419.25,"endTime":422.99,"body":"for you and their friendship with you every single day so that"},{"startTime":422.99,"endTime":426.63,"body":"that is what drives them to go and pray with you.
