Good morning, everybody, and happy Wednesday. My name is Rochelle Alesi, and I am so excited that I'm here with you this week. We have three more days, so let's make them count. And today I want to talk about uh Romans 12 10 that says, be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourself. Our episode today is called Honoring Sacrifice, which tie ins honor one another above yourself. Yesterday we talked about freedom being a gift that took sacrifice. Today I want to talk about honoring that sacrifice because it's so important to recognize the value of those who laid down their life and comfort for others. Because that is what the Bible said about be devoted to one another in love and honor one another above yourself. A lot of us have families, members, our parents who had to sacrifice their comforts for us to, for you to have the life that you get to live today. And it's so important for us not to forget those sacrifices, for us to remember them and to honor them because this honor is something that we should do. Honoring the right things is good, it pleases God and honor the Lord and the sacrifice that he made. We do that today. We take every Easter to honor the sacrifice that the Lord did on the cross, and that's something we should honor all the time. That's not something that we should honor once a year. We should honor the Lord for the sacrifice that he did. That's why we should also honor our parents for the sacrifices that he made. Our nation, our nations and our and our nation leaders, they have to make really hard sacrifices for us to live in the countries that we live now. And I can only speak speak for the United States as I live here. But I know that as I learned in history of many, many people who paved the way for us to be here today. And whether we agree politically or we disagree politically, we can agree that we should honor the people that paved a way for us, whether we agreed fully with their views or not. There are people who truly cared for this country, who made a way to for us to be here. And we should not fall into the place where we forget about those people and we think that we know better, guys. I want to talk to my generation. I cannot talk to the older because I'm only 28 years old. But if you are in your 20s, please listen. Not because I I have an experience, I'm a super experienced person, but because I want us to really think about what we spoke about in the first episode, about us and our generation saying yes to God's plan and us coming together and that being what brings every single believer together no matter what they are. We need to honor the sacrifices that people have made, guys. We should not tear down the people who have made sacrifices. That the diss sacrifices a hundred years ago. We should not go and say that does not matter anymore. Those people were evil. Hey, if they did something good for our country, we should honor that. We might have not known them personally a hundred years ago. It's impossible for us to know every single perfect thing that they did. Maybe they were not perfect people, but you and I are also not perfect people. So let's not forget to honor the sacrifices that people have made to get us here. Many people had to sacrifice for us. So we should not throw away history, we should research it. We should ask questions on our countries and on our Bible. It applies. Let's not throw away history because we think we know better. Let's ask and let's research. Let's open up our Bible and see all the things that the Lord did, other people did, what the disciples had to do for us to have churches today. Many people have paved a way for us. So let's honor that sacrifice. Let's not throw it away. So let's pray. Father God, I want to thank you for all the people that you have used over many thousands of years to get us where we are today, Father. Thank you for using those people. They might have not been perfect, but neither are we. And you are using us today. So I pray, Lord, that your spirit of unity will start to bring all of us together to see the real importance of life, Lord. The things that brings us together, that believe in you, your commandments, the way that you've laid out things in the Bible, that that's what truly matters, Lord. That we would come together in that, that we see the history in our Bible and say, that has value. The history in our nations and we say that has value and that we honor it, that we become a generation that honors what's happened, not that we throw it away because we think it's better, Father. We will not be foolish. I pray, Lord, that you will guide us, that you will help us get this right, Lord, because we're not perfect, but I believe that even in our imperfection, you can use us, Lord. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
