The Many Faces of Cancer

Type "C" Behavior and the Link to Her Cancer with Kathy Washburn

Melissa Grosboll Episode 48

Today's guest is Kathy Washburn. Kathy is, among so many things, a life coach specializing in positive psychology, emotional health, and post-traumatic growth. Diagnosed with Stage IV vulvar cancer while in the best physical shape of her life, she began to look deeper into emotional health.

She discovered positive psychology and the Type "C" behavior pattern, which is all about people pleasing and suppressing emotions.

We talk about the power of positive psychology. We do a deep dive into Type "C" and how the suppressing of emotions is another risk factor for cancer. We discuss the importance of emotional health, along with nutrition, exercise, and mindfulness, in the fight against cancer, and so much more!!
