The Many Faces of Cancer
As a cancer survivor and thriver, I know how important community and support are when you are facing a cancer diagnosis. That’s why I created The Many Faces of Cancer Podcast.
Each week I will be interviewing amazing people with heartfelt and inspirational stories from all sides of the cancer journey: patients, survivors and thrivers, caregivers, family and friends, and professionals. I may even throw in a bonus episode once in a while talking about things that are important to us all.
We never think it will happen to us, until it does. This podcast will be about community, knowing you’re not alone in your journey. It will also be an opportunity for people to share their stories and hopefully help others.
I hope you will all tune in. While it will be cancer stories, we all learn from others and, ultimately, these are human stories, applicable to many other areas of life.
The Many Faces of Cancer
The Power of Positivity during Brain Cancer Treatment with Howard Aaron
I can't wait for you all to meet my guest this week. Howard Aaron is one of the most positive, upbeat people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. One of his favorite sayings is that the glass isn't half full or half empty, it's always overflowing! It's the perfect positive start to the new year!
Howard was diagnosed with Stage 4 B Cell Lymphoma in his brain in early 2023. Only 1 in 2 million are diagnosed with this form of cancer. Howard endured 6 months of chemo and is currently cancer free!
Howard has been involved in fitness for most of his life and is a world class bench press competitor. He will be heading to the Arnold Classic to compete again in February 2025, less than 2 years after his diagnosis!
We talk about the role of positivity in the face of uncertainty, maintaining a childlike enthusiasm for life, strength and resilience, and so much more! You will have a smile on your face this entire episode. I know I did!
You can connect with Howard on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/howard.aaron.7 or Instagram https://www.instagram.com/howard.aaron.7/. He has some very powerful videos from before, during, and after treatment.
