Today's guest is Tim McDonald, author, healthcare advocate, speaker, and community builder who turned his stage IV colorectal cancer diagnosis into a mission for change. He was also the first metastatic colorectal cancer patient to receive a transplant from an altruistic donor, rather than a directed donor. Tim uses storytelling and advocacy to raise awareness and drive impact through his podcast Advocacy at Work, and his brand new book, From Patient to Advocate.

We talk about liver transplants, living and deceased donors, directed and altruistic donors, advocacy and awareness, both at the local and national levels, the importance of vulnerability during this journey, and so much more!!

I'm happy to share this great story during the month of March, Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month.
