On November 3, 2026 Washakie County will go to the polls and have the renewal of the 1% General Purpose Sales Tax and a half percent sales tax on the ballot. The renewal of the 5th penny will help fund the City of Worland, The Town of Ten Sleep, The Worland and Ten Sleep Senior Centers, The Youth Learning Center, The Worland Community Center Complex and Crisis Prevention and Response. The half penny will be used by Washakie County for emergency services. This podcast is the first in a series to help you, the voter, understand where these pennies go and how they are put to work for our community.
Join me now as I visit with Worland’s Mayor Rebecca George and Clerk Treasurer Tracy Glanz as we discuss how the 5th penny has worked for the City of Worland…..
