Soul Dog
Ljoma
Woof! My soul dog's name was Leoma. Leoma. That's a beautiful name. How, and how did you meet her? I adopted her when she was seven years old. Seven years old. Okay. From a shelter or how did you, or from a family or how did you go about adopting her? I had a friend who was running a shelter and there she was. Yeah. Okay. And how did, did you think she, did you pick her or did she pick you? Or would you, was it usual? Well, I, I think, animals pick us, you know, even if it looks like we pick them. Okay. Yeah, I was looking for, I was, I was looking for a small dog for my other dog, who was also a small dog. And, um, Yeah, it happens to be her. Wonderful, wonderful. So you had her when she was seven, how many years did she live while you, well, like how long did she live while she was with you? Well, I had, I had her for over 13 years, so she was over 20 when she left. Oh my goodness. Wow. To have all that extra time, like 13 years, that's. You know, people usually say, well, don't, don't adopt an old dog. You won't have her for long. Well, I had her for 13 years. Yes. And your connection, I'm sure kept her going. One thing that I would just love to hear is, what was like the greatest lesson that you learned from her? Know what you want. Ooh, I love that. Was she sassy, or? Well, I mean, she was a chihuahua mix. Okay. And chihuahuas basically know perfectly what they want. You know, they are the lions among the dogs. They are very small. Small bodies, but big souls. Right. Oh, I love that. Yes, yes. And she, she always knew what she wanted. So, yeah, know what you want and then go after it until you get it. Is there anything that you can say that you went after while she was with you that she inspired you to do? Well, she loved people. And, um, I mean, I have been an animal communicator since 2001, so way before she came to me. Um, but she really liked to communicate with people and, and people loved her. So when I taught some courses and then people got to communicate with, the animals and they got to communicate with her, she was always very, very happy to help and communicate with people. Ah, so she was, she was a natural connector, it sounds like, as well. Yes, yes. If there were three words that you would use to describe her, what would they be? Loving, loving and loving. Ah, that's beautiful. Okay, and then Is there any advice that you would give to someone who is grieving their own, their own soul dog? Especially as an animal communicator, is there any tips or anything that you would suggest that could maybe help people connect with their soul dogs that they lost? Of course, you have an innate gift, right? And not everybody has that. But if they're just like, if there's any kind of advice just to help them through that process. Well, if you feel your animal in your heart, your animal will notice that you, you want to connect with. Uh, with, with her or him, because it's very important that we feel it. A lot of people think about it and science has shown that the energy that emanates from the heart is 5, 000 times more than what comes from the brain. So when people think about their animal, they, the animals. Maybe don't get it. However, if somebody feels their animal in their heart, then the animal is getting the connection. Oh, okay. Yeah. That makes sense. So feel your animal in your heart, even if it has passed away, it will feel that you are with it. Aw, thank you. Thank you so much for that advice. There anything else that you would like to share? Well, we, we, we lived so many different episodes in, each other's lives. But one thing that was funny, maybe it's, um, you know, I live in Switzerland and here in Switzerland. Uh, we do need to, or we used to have to take, uh, an exam with the dog in order to be able to have the dog. So, yes. So when I adopted her, I was living in Spain. I lived for three and a half years in Spain and that's when I adopted her. So when we came back to Switzerland, I had two other dogs who had been with me in Switzerland already. So I didn't have to take any exam with them. But I had to take an exam with her. Does that still happen now? Like that, that's still a practice? For some breeds, yes. But not, not for, not for small ones anymore. That's fascinating. So, I told her about the exam. Now, she was very apprehensive about that exam, you know. Like, she was a little bit scared to take that exam. And there was this, you know, woman coming to one of my courses, uh, in animal communication. And during lunch break, we were walking. So the dogs, she was walking in front and we were talking and she tells me that she's a dog trainer. And wow. Yeah. That moment that she said that she was a dog trainer, you must know I have this telepathic railway, I call it, you know, like everything that I hear say goes out on a telepathic level as well. I'm like a telepathic radio. So she got that. And that moment she actually turned around, walked up to that woman and stood up on her like, you know, yeah, yeah, yeah. I want to come with her and do, and do the course with you and do the exam with you because I already know you and I, and you're a good person. I like you. Wow. And that was so impressive because, you know, she was walking in front You know, and we were talking, and the moment she said she was a dog trainer, she turned around, came to her, and then, yeah. So we actually did take the exam with her. Oh, wow. Oh my gosh. So she was warming up to her. She knew. Woof! Woof!
