Speaker 1:

Mike, check one, two, one, two. Mike check one, two, one, two. Welcome back to another early morning edition of the same man sports talk show, and this morning we're bringing you another live segment From our latest, latest, latest edition. Title flag on the play. Okay, over here we do no right or wrong answers, we base it all off opinions, just kind of like a formal discussion amongst us as a nation, right, all right, like I do before every episode, I would like to reach out to everyone and hope that everyone's blessed, doing well. If not, I pray for your blessings to come and that you do well to come. Stay focused. Stay focused on something positive opposed to destructive. Excuse me, watch the company you keep. Protect your energy, all right. Excuse me, watch the company you keep. Protect your energy, right. So on tonight, or this morning's episode, what I want to dive into is the all star game that took place yesterday, cincinnati, ohio, cincinnati Public Schools edition. Right, shout out to Jaleesa Knowles. Bunch of competitions. Don't really want to get too much into the winners, just want to kind of, first off, congratulate you all. You know who you are and all the contestants as well. I really want to focus more so on the atmosphere and the positive buzz and light I feel like it brought to the city, energy-wise, right. So shout-out to all the high school, the student-athletes. Man, first off, handling your business in school, doing your thing, staying focused and root in the tournament regular season, just day to day, you know, working on your craft plus working on your game and your education. Man, salute to you all. I believe having this all-star game at Fifth Third at UC's arena was amazing for the kids. In fact, in the sporting world they do things you know where the younger generation could like look forward to. Right. So maybe playing at UC, maybe, maybe just being in that atmosphere inspires one to leave the streets or leave the unfocused mindset in general and maybe want to go on To play college basketball One day, just by touching, setting feet Onto that floor. Right, I think it's dope.

Speaker 1:

I think that the Girls side of basketball Was amazing in high school this year. Again, shout out, jaleesa Knowles. Right, it's a bunch of dogs in the city, On the boys side For sure as well, right. So I I seen a dunk by the kid from I think they call him Rui, from Woodward. Correct me if I'm wrong. The kid jumped over somebody and did a windmill. This is amazing. Like for an NBA player, in my opinion, it would be like, oh, okay, but for a high school player, a kid like this is incredible, ok, but for a high school player, a kid like this is incredible. The clip these girls got in these three point competitions, just the overall atmosphere of talent on the girls and the boys side, bringing it to you see, bringing people out, giving people something to look forward to.

Speaker 1:

It's March Madness time, which we'll pivot into shortly. I just think it's amazing for our city. We're not sitting here talking about some rap or music event. We're talking about kids being honored, giving their flowers at the highest level for their performance. I think that's important and once again, all the all-stars shout out to you. All the student athletes in general shout out to you all Stay focused. A lot's to come for you if you keep grinding. Work hard, put the work in when nobody else will, right. So outside of that, I want to pivot and talk.

Speaker 1:

College basketball is amazing right now for me. College basketball it's amazing right now for me. We know Final Four tickets have been punched right. If we start on the women's side, for me it's amazing. I got to check out Juju Watkins and USC. Yesterday I thought for a second Baylor had them and was going to drop them, but I was wrong.

Speaker 1:

That Paige girl takes a lot of shots but I heard them trying to like fake, criticize her throughout the game. That's BS. She's a star. She gets busy, gets buckets. And she's not the only one on their squad, right, I think it's somebody named Mackenzie. She's dope, they're a problem. So I like UConn, uconn's got Paige Buckner or Buckner, I'm Bucher. However you pronounce her last name, I'm sorry, she's a dog, she's gangsta. She does it all.

Speaker 1:

Lsu yes, lord, andrew Reese and company, it's just, it's wild to me. Iowa we can't forget about that matchup. To me, iowa we can't forget about that matchup. To me, iowa, lsu is going to be out this world, right? First of all, it's a rematch at a championship, right? Remember? I remember Angel Reese was doing the you Can't See Me to John Cena and Kaelin was doing it back, and it's like this is the rematch. Like Debo, you hear me. So I'm looking forward to that.

Speaker 1:

I think the game's Monday at 7 pm on ESPN. Yes, lord, I will be tapped in. On the men's side, it's dope as well. We got some ballers Duke done spanked on Houston. Duke done punched a ticket, duke.

Speaker 1:

What y'all feel? On the men's side, what is Connecticut? Are they gonna repeat? They look dominant. Alabama look crazy how hot they got yesterday. Yes, lord, and CAA Tournament, march Madness is in full effect. I'm loving it. I am loving it. I'm loving it.

Speaker 1:

Shout out to Colorado. On the women's side, ucla, baylor and Duke, you know, on the losing side, and on the men's side, we know what's going on. Who y'all got? Is UConn going to repeat Alabama? They made school history. Are they going to do it? Them boys put up buckets, big buckets, fast. I think they had an interesting stat I heard when they put up over 89 points a game. They damn near unbeatable, right? They get buckets For sure. So Let me know. If you're on Instagram, get in the DM In the comments. Same man sports talk show, right. If you're on the YouTube Bottom line sports network or at Same man sports talk show, get in the comments. Let me know, write me, let me know what's your picks. Final four it's going down.

Speaker 1:
