As a main bread winner, first generation Chinese American, and consultant with 25 years of business and organizational effectiveness experience, I lived a disconnected life full of stress, anxiety, and regret even as a believer in God. Something was amiss in my life.
Each day, I would unknowingly make these choices:
- Conform to who I thought I should be
- Play the victim to my circumstances
- Struggle to love or even accept myself
- Constantly compare myself to others
- Feel like I wasn't good enough
In 2014, with the grace of God, I started an intentional recovery journey. Along the way, I acquired new vocabulary, perspectives, habits, and personalized strategies. This journey helped me evolve towards self-love and trust in the perfectly imperfect version of myself that God created for each moment of my life.
