Hey guys, the show is finally here, True Mentors Podcast. My name is Derek Skubis and here's why I started the show. I really wanted to have my own podcast and I started the show. A lot of people ask me, why did you start a business? Weren't you scared? What are some things that you went through? Guys, in this podcast, we are going to tell you and show you from all these entrepreneurs that come here, talk about their businesses, talk about what they faced through, what they went through and why they started their business. It's very important that you guys know it's not that scary. It's not a. big, it's just, you just got to do it. That's all you got to do. I mean, I don't even have words why you should start because it's not that hard. And these people will explain to you how easy it is. The only step you have to take is the first one to start it. So I started my company about six months ago. We did extremely well. We're in the roofing and restoration business. What we do is we go after storms and roofing and anything that has to do with your exterior of home. We go through your insurance company. We get the whole claim approved. We do all the work for you. So you don't have to deal with all the hassle that it comes to insurance. I know that the insurance industry is not easy and you as the homeowner, that's the last thing you want to worry about all the documents and going back and forth with your insurance company, writing up the estimates, looking at your policy. You don't want to do that. You, you, you seriously don't want to do that. I'm 26 years old and I'm going great. So that's what we do. We dive into the, we, it's our passion. We dive into your claim and we go after everything, get all the proper documentation. We filed a claim for you. We work with your insurance company and then we combine everything together and get your whole claim approved. After that, we have our own employees, people are in our own team that will come in, replace your whole roof, replace your windows, replace your gutters, and the whole exterior, and it's all done by the same exact company. So on the other side, you're not dealing with five, six companies chasing after contractors and all of that. My big thing was when I started, I was extremely scared to start a business because I didn't know where I was going to go. And, you know, six months after, look at where we are. We're doing millions of dollars. We're like on our third company car. We have an office. We have employees. We have sales reps. I mean, it went really well for me. I might not go for other people like that, but it's the systems in place and the consistency of you nonstop waking up and kicking ass every single day. You can't be scared of what's out there. You just got to go and do it. Whatever it takes, you know, in the morning, I wake up every single day at four a.m. I go to the gym. I work out for the first hour and a half. Then I come home. I take a shower. I eat and I get to work. But I do this every single day. There's no days off. That's why I stand out. That's why I'm able to do so well in life. I see people literally they tell me, oh, I want to go to the gym. They go to the gym twice for the first two days and then they're done. Well, the first two days, you're not going to see anything. The first month you won't see anything. It'll probably take you three months until you see something. That's what I'm saying with the business. My first three months, we didn't see a single dollar. Our first like few months, we didn't see anything. I thought I was going to go back and get a job, but that was the whole thing. The consistency of it and knowing and believing that you're capable of doing what's right. You're going to get it. I know you will. There's nothing in there. When you work hard, work, work, work, work, work, get a little bit better by Justin Waller. He explains this really well. You work a little bit, you get better. You work a little bit, you get better. And you do that every single day and you do it. For that, tune into our podcast, listen to all the people that we bring in. We're gonna bring in some top leaders, some top business owners from here, Chicagoland area, the people that you probably see all the time. You see them on social media, you see at the restaurants, you see their agencies, you see their trucks drive by. These people are extremely successful in their business. You have to follow them. You have to listen to their stories. That is going to drive you to do better. You're going to see how your life's going to change. These people faced I mean, very hard times to get their business. Some people get sued, some people get lose their stuff, but they get back up and they still do it. There's no way you can't do it. My mom came here with five kids by herself, divorced. She raised all five kids, put them through school, gave them food, gave them everything. And we are all extremely successful. So if a woman could do it with five kids, raise them, feed them, put clothes on their back, there's no way young people that are don't have a family, don't have a house, don't have any bills, maybe just a phone bill or a car bill that you can't do it. I mean, there's no way nobody in America, everybody in America should be successful. It is so easy here. I mean, you could do anything. You could do something online, video, photography. You could go knock doors for a company like ours and you're making about $150,000, $200,000, $250,000 a year and people just don't want to work. So you guys got to dive into our podcast. So it drives you to do better in life because trust me, I believe in you and I want you to do better. Thank you for listening to True Mentors podcast.
