QUOTES

  • "I think it's very similar to the gym. You don't get better You get better through repetition, just like with the roofing jobs. I'm sure your first roofing job was horrible, just like everyone else's. But I think with experience, you just build this eye for it, and you just learn how to spot things out, get different angles, put a story together. And then it's all repetition, I believe." - Abdullah Jamil
  • “Fasting is really good for your body as well, but another thing is for you to appreciate the food that we have. Because we're extremely, really lucky to have this much food in America.” - Derek Skubisz
  • “The beautiful part about Islam is that God says that He created all of us as sinners. If we all were to stop sinning, He would replace us with sinners, because that's our human nature. But I feel like the thing that people miss about our religion is not how badly you sin, but how sincerely you repent. Because God wants you to keep coming back to him and keep repenting, keep building that relationship with him.” - Abdullah Jamil

Hey guys, welcome to another episode of True Mentors. Today we have a special guest, someone who works with me a lot. His name is Abdullah Jameel with Jameel Productions. Welcome. Thank you. I appreciate it. Thank you for having me on. What Jameel Productions is, is they do videography, photography for all types of trades, basically anything you need except weddings, correct?

Derek Skubisz

No, we actually do weddings as well.

Abdullah Jamil

All right, that's fantastic. How can people find you?

Derek Skubisz

You can find us on social media, you can check out our website, jumoproductions.com, where you can see our portfolio.

That's amazing. How long have you been doing that for?

I started out in 2014. It was a side thing because my mom was into photography. How old were you? It was eighth grade or freshman year. I was 13 or 14. Oh, that's awesome. So you started early. Yeah, but it was just like a hobby side thing. My mom, she actually had a wedding company and she only did photos. I tried doing photography and I didn't like it and I never thought it would be a full time gig. And then I eventually COVID hit. I was trying a bunch of different things and I took off doing content for a restaurant when I was working there. I never thought I was going to be doing this, but I was working at a restaurant and I was there full time thinking I was going to own it. And the owner was like, why don't you just make some content? So I started making content, me making the food, putting it together, and eating at the end. It just took off. And when that didn't work out, I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do. And then I figured, why don't I offer this service to other businesses? So I started there, creating social media content for businesses, and then eventually just grew.

And then did that spark your interest when you were first making all the videos for the first company that you worked for?

Before you never had interest, right? I had interest, but I never saw it as like a full-time career. I always looked at it as like a hobby. I never thought I could make money and grow a business just based off making videos. I always thought I was going to go down the school route, become an engineer, a doctor. That's what I was studying. I was trying to be a prosthetic technician. That's awesome. But COVID hit, I had to work. Do you enjoy it now? I do, I do. It's amazing. It's nice. I get to do what I love. It doesn't feel like work most of the time. Yeah, but you're slimed. I know. Gotta work on that. You're busy, right? Yeah. But blessed. So grateful.

Yeah, that's really good. What is it that sparks your interest in videography versus photography? What do you like more?

I think videography is nice because you get to capture the moment. in real time, but with video, I think it takes a little more skill to storytell as well. Because not only are you just taking the photos, but you're putting the pieces together and you're dictating the way the audience perceives the video. Not necessarily 100%, but to a certain extent. So I think that I wouldn't have pursued this far if I only did photography. I think video is what made me feel like, okay, I can take this to another level.

Yeah, because there's so much more that nowadays you could do with video, with TikTok, Reels and everything else. What we do for our company with you. What's the best thing you like about it and then what's the worst thing that you don't like about it?

My favorite part about creating content and doing video is seeing my clients reactions.

By the way, his videos are insane. I mean, the stuff that you make for our roofing company is just, every time we, Jameel Productions, they make our video, when we put that on our social media, the amount of engagement, we don't get that much engagements from anything else except those videos. We gotta pump out more. Yeah, those videos are insane. You capture every single thing. So when you're capturing, everything on like, let's say our job sites. Does your eye just catch everything? How does that work? Because I always thought about that. How do videographers capture so many good moments?

I think it's very similar to the gym. You don't get better You get better through repetition, just like with the roofing jobs. I'm sure your first roofing job was horrible, just like everyone else's. But I think with experience, you just build this eye for it, and you just learn how to spot things out, get different angles, put a story together. And then it's all repetition, I believe.

So usually it's all about practice, right? The more practice you put in, the better you get. That's really amazing. I appreciate it.

It's always a pleasure working with you.

We have so many fun times over there, especially the Kensington one we worked at, the associations.

I'm sure the team in Jerusalem are there too. I try to make them laugh.

Oh, they love it because they feel like rock stars. They feel like they're on TV and it makes them feel good. And I mean, you see yourself when Omar sees you and everything, they get excited right away, run towards the camera. It's different. It's unique because you also have to make your people happy in different ways and put them out there to make sure that they are also a big part of the company. So when you come and you record them that shows them how much we value their work Because you're standing right behind them and recording their work that like personally makes a person feel really good That's amazing, but what I really wanted to talk to you is about Muslim religion, right? I've really I really like it. It's very similar to mine, which is Catholic and Your Muslim religion, you guys are probably the only religion that still prays every single day, right? Because everybody else, I mean, yeah, they go to church on Sundays and stuff, but Muslims, how many times do you guys pray a day?

It's mandatory to pray five times a day. Five times a day? Muslims pray more than that.

Voluntarily. And is it by like set by hour, which hour you should pray on?

So it's throughout the day, there's from sunrise to the middle of the night or towards the nighttime, there's five different prayers and it's just based on the time of the day. So there's like an early, like a morning prayer, a noon prayer, midday prayer, sunset prayer, and then a prayer after that, nighttime prayer. And it's kind of just a way to take a break from the world and then just have a conversation with God. And what you were saying about the religion, I think it's just the most, I think it still holds its value compared to Christianity and other religions. I feel like there's so many contradictions that people don't believe as hard as Muslims are believing now, especially with everything going on around the world.

That's really awesome. But with the prayers that you guys have five times a day, is every single one the same or do they switch out throughout the day?

It's the number of... I'm trying to think how to explain this. So each prayer is a different amount of prayers. And then you recite different things, but they're all verses from the Quran.

And it's... Quran is a Bible?

Yeah, it's our holy book. It was brought down and revealed by our prophet Muhammad, so I send them. And yeah, so each prayer is like, so the morning prayer is two, two of them, and then go ahead and ask your question.

Do you guys have a rosary or no? What's a rosary? So a rosary is, like Catholics, we have a rosary and each bead on the rosary is a different prayer. So on there, I forgot how many beads are on there, but every single one literally takes you step by step what prayer to say and how many prayers to say.

I don't know if we have a rosary. In the Quran it teaches you how to pray, like what to say. We have a verse. There's a lot of words in Arabic that I don't know how to say in English. There's like a chapter in the Quran that we repeat in every prayer. It's a beginning. So when we start our prayer we repeat this verse and it's basically claiming that God is one and we submit to him and we rely on him for help. Then you can pick any other chapter and you can read it after that.

So that's very similar to ours, because we have the Our Holy Father prayer, and you repeat it in every single prayer. Nice. And it's literally the same exact thing what you're explaining.

We both believe that Jesus was brought up to heaven, and he's going to come down, fight the Antichrist.

Exactly. So why do you think Muslims still stick so hard to their religion? What brings it out so different from everybody else? Because you're completely right about that. If you look at Catholics, Christians, yeah, they all go to church and stuff, but it's nothing like the Muslim. I mean, you guys literally, not far from me, there's a mosque. Every Friday, there's people over there. During the weekday, and my barber, he's Arabic, they pray throughout the day. Nobody else does that. Why is it that you guys still stick so hard to it, even in America?

That's a great point. I believe it's because there are a lot of facts in the Quran and a lot of things that have been revealed over 1400 years ago that are happening now. A lot of signs like people competing over tall buildings. That was not a thing that many years ago, but it was predicted by a prophet. Like homosexuality being so transparent. The list goes on and on about the corruption going on in today's age. I think that the first thing is the facts. We believe in the facts and also our religion really focuses on that death is around the corner. I mean, it's not to be in a pessimistic mindset, but to remind yourself that our time here is very temporary. You're supposed to make the most of it, but at the same time, remind yourself that you will be held accountable for your actions and your decisions, and to basically live with God-consciousness. Like, that's a goal for Muslims, you know, so you're always thinking twice about what you're doing. I feel like with Christians they believe, from my understanding, I need to do more research with other religions, but Christians believe that Jesus died for their sins, so on the day of judgment, they won't be held accountable for their sins. I don't know how that makes sense, because then anyone can do anything and not be judged.

Exactly, and then you're done with it, and then you don't have sins. I never understood that. Because they're like, yeah, it doesn't matter that you could still sin and you're going to go to heaven. Well, isn't that the whole part of it? That if you sin, you don't go to heaven?

Yeah. The beautiful part about Islam is that God says that He created all of us as sinners. If we all were to stop sinning, He would replace us with sinners, because that's our human nature. But I feel like the thing that people miss about our religion is not how bad you sin, but how sincerely you repent. Because God wants you to keep coming back to him and keep repenting, keep building that relationship with him.

Well, 100% because like once you start putting your life into God's faith and following a religion, whatever religion it is, and reading the Bible, it makes you into a different person, right? Because you have something to look up to. you follow rules and then like you say you sin but then you go and repent from your sins so you become a better human being. One thing is how there's so much chaos in the world right now. And I truly do believe because nobody believes in God. I'm not nobody, but a massive number of people don't believe in God anymore. I agree. Right. So they just go over there. They say nobody's held accountable for anything. They destroy everything. They're like, well, okay, I don't really care about it. I don't care what happens when I die. Yeah. We, none of us know what's going to happen when we die. That's true. Right. But the thing is that we actually have something to look up to and stop that.

I like to look at it as like, this is an open book test, this life that we're living, and the Quran, which is our holy book, is like the book. If you ever take a test in school and it's an open book, you can go back and study, like in the test, this is what it is.

That's a really good thing, open book test for your whole life. That is amazing. Go ahead. That's awesome. What about the mosques? Because you guys always have gigantic, amazing mosques, right? Wherever you look at one, I just saw one getting built in Chicago. I mean, those things are massive.

Yeah, in this community, specifically in Chicago, we're so blessed. We have like mosques left and right. For me, so during Ramadan, we're in the mosque praying like all the time, a lot more frequently than than outside of Ramadan. So I get to I go to three, four masjid sometimes just bouncing around because there's so many locally around. And you could go to any. Yeah, you can go to any mosque. It doesn't matter. And the reason why so many people are in the mosque is because your reward is amplified when you pray in congregation. Because another thing about Islam that a lot of people look up to that aren't Muslim is the brotherhood. Because we really, really prioritize our brotherhood. And yeah. You guys stick together very well. Yeah, we try to. Sometimes we stick each other, unfortunately. But that's not a religion. That's a reflection of the character of the person.

100%. What is Ramadan?

Ramadan is a month where the Quran was revealed. This is a month where the Quran was revealed back in the day. And it's a time, it's a time, it's a month where we fast from sunrise to sunset. And not only is it to withdraw from food and water, but it's also to become more God conscious and to test yourself on all levels. Like it's not just the food and water, but it's also like what you look at, what you listen to, anything you consume. You're fasting and you're withholding from normal temptations that you normally give into when you're not in Ramadan. And it's just a way to kind of purify and cleanse yourself and take this time to put everything on pause and really get closer to God. It's like God's Like it's like a cheat code month. You know, he, he, he locks up certain devils.

I want to get better at explaining this a hundred percent, but it's for you to realize that like, Hey, maybe sometimes they won't be food. You need to realize that there's poverty in the world. You know, when people fast, um, I was literally talking to this with my barber, but when, when people fast, Fasting is really good for your body as well, but another thing is for you to appreciate the food that we have. Because we're extremely, really lucky to have this much food in America.

So grateful. And yeah, that's a very big part of it. So being grateful for the endless blessings we have in our lives. Living in America, we get very used to the standard of living that we're at. We don't realize. Comfort. Yeah. How much lack of there is around the world. Yeah. And it's unfortunate.

How many times do you go back home? Do you ever go back home?

I actually came back from Palestine like two weeks before October 7th and what happened overseas. I go, I like to go once a year. I go for like a month. It's amazing. And hopefully, you know, I do plan on going back more often.

Now what's with all of this chaos that's happening in Gaza? Is that very close to where you guys live?

It's about an hour and a half away from the West Bank. So that right now in Palestine, there's two territories, two Palestinian territories left. It's Gaza and the West Bank and everything else is Israeli owned and controlled. And yeah, Gaza is basically like a closed off environment. Everything that comes in and out, even if it's as small as a fly, it's controlled by Israel. Food, electricity, water, humanitarian aid, weapons, you name it, it's all controlled by Israel. And then the West Bank, we have our own small government, but that government is controlled by Israel as well. So it's crazy. It's like dictatorship. Yeah, for sure.

So how much family do you have back at home?

My father, his wife and his children are there, so my step-siblings. My grandmother and a few of my aunts are there. They're in the West Bank. The West Bank isn't as bad as Gaza, because Gaza is just... Can they hear stuff? No, you can't. No, you can't hear stuff in Gaza, but there's still like, it's not being documented now because there's so much attention in Gaza, but there's stuff happening in the West Bank too. There are thousands of Palestinians. You know, the conviction rate in Palestine is 99%. If you get accused of anything, your conviction rate is 99%. So there's thousands of Palestinians that are locked up with no no charge. Yeah. You should be walking on the street and they'll take you to lock you up. They'll beat you. They'll take your home. There's a lot of injustice going on. And I feel like now the world is waking up because of social media. So.

Well, it is because like now there's it's not just the news controlling it. It's people actually recording and we could see it through TikTok, Instagram, Facebook. But another thing is that also makes me think, why do they want to ban TikTok so bad in America?

I agree. I agree. And this is why. Because they don't control TikTok, Instagram. Well, they can't. Exactly. Instagram and Facebook and Meta and WhatsApp is all controlled by American government. Yeah. But. TikTok isn't, and they did pass a ban. In six months, I think, an American company has to own some part of TikTok in order for it to continue.

Yeah, and then they're going to control it and see what could be published on there and whatnot, regular thing. I have a question for you.

What do you think about Aaron Bushnell? Ambush? I'm sorry, I said that fast. Aaron Bushnell. Have you heard of Aaron Bushnell? He recently, he's an American soldier. He lit himself on fire as an act of protest in front of the Israeli embassy in Washington, D.C. This was about a month ago. No, I didn't see that. Yeah, he was an Israeli soldier. He started a video. He said, Uh, he doesn't condemn what's going on in Palestine and that this is not suicide. This is an act of an extreme act of protest. And he put the camera down. He lit himself on fire in front of the American embassy.

So is he on the Palestine side or Israeli?

The Palestine, he was standing up for Palestinians. He was saying that that doesn't condone what's going on. And, uh, so he just lit himself on fire and when, as an act of protest and he rented that.

And then what happened after that was what was going on over there in Washington, DC, they were protesting.

No, I mean, they've been protesting since the beginning of the war. The whole world has been protesting. He just could not fathom. He could not live his life while seeing what's going on on the other side of the world.

Nobody can. If you really think that that's a normal thing with what Israel is doing to Palestine, I mean, you're really fucked up in the head.

But why is this still happening? If the majority of human beings think that way, why is this still happening? We have completely, we're going back to your statement about how so much chaos is going on because we have a lack of faith as 100%. We have lost, it's not even, it's not a Palestinian, it's not a Muslim issue. It's a humanitarian issue at this point because over 40,000 people have been killed and there's no- In Palestine. In Gaza, just in Gaza. And Gaza, you know how big Gaza is? It's 25 miles wide. 2.2 million people crammed in, and 25 miles of square... And 40,000 people were killed. At least. That's the counted bodies, not all of them.

And what did they say on the news? That it's like a thousand people? Right?

The American news? Yeah, they completely... That is extremely sad.

Yeah. With all the kids and everything over there. I mean, nobody should even go through that ever. Why are we still fighting with wars? Like how long has that Gaza? They've been fighting for years, right? It's going at Gaza and stuff going on since 1948 Yeah, because are they trying to take Gaza away so they control everything?

They're trying to completely take over all of Palestine. So that whole, they call it Israel now, but that whole Palestinian territory, the whole country, they just want it for them. And they believe that, they genuinely believe that Palestinians are not humans. And this is what, this is what Hitler did with the Germans to the Jews. They brainwashed them at a young age to make them fit. That's why these soldiers, they're very young. They're my age, your age. And they're killing people.

And they brainwash them to think that you as Palestinians are the bad people.

And they're completely desensitized. And this was a strategy and this has been planned a very long time ago. But I'm grateful to be Muslim and I'm grateful to believe in God. And God has a greater plan.

So do Israelis have, are they Muslim too?

No, Israelis are, so not all, not all Jews are, so I wanna be clear that I don't like to categorize all Jews as the people doing this, because they're Zionists. Zionists are the ones that have this propaganda to take over and to destroy Palestine. But, I'm sorry, what was your question?

About Israelis being Muslim.

No, no Israelis are Muslim. There's Judaism, but Zionists use Judaism as a front to do what they're doing and they're calling everything anti-semitic. I don't know if you've seen that Yeah, basically if you go against anything that they're doing they they categorize you as anti-semitic But the liberation of Palestine will be the liberation of Judaism because Judaism will be able to practice really there's Jews in Israel and in Jerusalem protesting against Netanyahu and the government right now with what's happening being attacked. They're attacking their own people and

Well, 100% because they're going to shut them down, right?

They will stop at no days past the ceasefire. Uh, uh, and the, and the UN has passed a ceasefire resolution and this is, this is just all over power. Yup. There's trillions of dollars of pure gas under, under Gaza right now. That's never been touched. pure gas oh and that's what they want to take oil yeah of course you know i don't know have you heard that they've built a port the u.s has built supports to try to support aid through through water no they built a port or they're building a port right now on the beach front of gaza as a beautiful beach by the way if you ever look up gaza you should look up before the war beautiful country, Palestine in general, but they're building a port right now. America is for Gaza, for Gaza to bring over humanitarian aid by sea. But there's an Egypt, there's an Egyptian border and there's an Israeli border that they could easily just open and there are thousands of trucks waiting to come and deliver aid. But anything that comes in, there's the World Kitchen Center, I believe, WKC. There's a humanitarian aid group of people from the United States, from Canada, from Australia, from all over the world that were just bombed two, three days ago. There were seven or eight of them. Yeah, they were bombed. And they communicated with Israel and said, hey, I'm going from here to here. Please don't kill us. And on their way to there, there were three different cars all spread out, and they all got targeted by precision missiles.

But yeah, I could see why they did that, you know, just not to pull too much information from whatever's going on over there and show it to the world and make sure that they don't bring anything in that they can't control themselves.

The world has waken up and they know the truth. Everyone knows the truth. I mean, at this point, if you don't, you're just delusional. And I just hope that we can put an end to this. Because even if there's a ceasefire today, right now, there's a ceasefire, someone goes in and stops Israel, it will take Decades to get Palestine back to even close to what it was, you know, and there's just so many innocent casualties and Like I said, it's not a Palestinian thing. It's a humanitarian issue.

So if Gaza is 25 miles Long or wide What is the ratio of it being done right now about 80% 80% of Gaza is gone.

Yeah, completely destroyed. At least I'm probably like so building streets, everything, everything. It's rebel level that everyone. So the north side of Gaza, Israel is infiltrated. They're there. The army is there. And anyone there is like left for dead. The south of Gaza. Everyone is crammed at the Egyptian border everyone about 1.4 million people are just squeezed in one little one city of all of Gaza and They're just stuck right there. So anything that's getting bombed there going over there. The rest of Gaza has been destroyed and they're actually pushing for cannibalism right now, so if all the gas is underneath Gaza and

If they keep blowing up Gaza and everything, isn't that gas going to blow up or is it way too deep underneath?

They already passed, if you look into it, they already passed laws for gas exploration. They already are building cities like demo models.

This was a setup. They set this up already before, before they started, right?

Yeah. I think that they thought that they would have been done by now.

Yeah. They didn't think it was going to escalate that bad. Right. That they're going to fight back. Yeah. Right. Because Gaza is fighting back.

It's not Gaza. There's a resistance. They're called Hamas. And they're looked at as terrorists, but they're the only Some kind of a terrorist. Like, if I'm constantly punching you and you don't react, and I'm punching you, and year after year I just come by and I just punch you, eventually one day you're gonna be like, bro, I'm gonna sock you in the face. And that's what happened on October 7th. And then, man, it's just unfortunate. There's so much misinformation out there.

And now they're making them seem like the bad people.

Yeah, but forget picking sides. It comes down to the like, this is the most well-documented genocide that's ever been in all of history. And yet there's no one that can put a stop to America or Israel. It's very unfortunate.

So nobody could stop this except Israel themselves.

The ICJ, the International Court of Justice, pulled a case on Israel and It's just unfortunate. I'm like, I don't know what's going to happen anymore. I'm very disappointed. But at the end of the day, we just have to we have to learn. We have to spread awareness. And that's what's going to.

But another thing is, so if they do take, let's say that in the worst case scenario, they do take over Gaza. Right. So are they going to control everything else? So everything's going to be Israeli, like the whole Palestine and everything. They're going to own it.

Only God knows, but at this point, if they do take over Gaza, then they will just surround the West Bank and eventually probably just take the West Bank, do the same thing they did to Gaza, and then it will all be Israel. But in the Quran, it's written that Palestine will be free again before the end of times. And yeah, in the beginning of this war, I was like, there's no way they'll take it. I still don't think they will, but if they do, that'll be unfortunate. I think too many people are awake to what's going on for them to be able to do that.

Well, there's a lot of people, even America, are standing behind everything that's happening and they're actually awoke, right? Not just shut down by it and stuff, because I know a lot of people sharing this stuff and looking differently into it. But yeah, it's sad what's going on and if there would be help, that would be really good to stop everything. Yeah, absolutely. That was really deep. We just got a deep conversation about religion and Palestine. Anything else you want to tell us about the Muslim religion? How you guys run the religion and belief?

I think Islam has been, the Muslim religion has been attacked for years now to give the people a bad look on the religion, but honestly such a beautiful religion and I encourage anyone watching to look into it to just learn a little bit more about what we believe in and Yeah, I think that there's so much benefit into learning even if you don't revert or anything like that.

How come what's all? So you you guys all have what is the white thing that the men were I

It's called a thobe. It's just a cultural thing. It's not religious.

So it's for culture. It has nothing to do with religion.

It has religious significance, but it's like you don't get like more reward or anything for it. It's just clothing. But you just it's like a nice, comfortable clothing you can wear when you go to the mosque, freshen up, be nice. Yeah. You know.

And then what about for a woman?

What do they wear for a woman? It's just mandatory for them to cover up their hair because we believe that We believe that their beauty is not for everyone to be seen. You know, not everyone should be able to look at my wife's hair and my wife's figures.

So it's for only the man that's marrying her and her family.

Right. Like her father, her brothers, her husband, her uncles and grandfather. Especially in this world we live in where everything is sexualized and 100% women are being pushed to be. Look at OnlyFans. Look at OnlyFans. Why is OnlyFans a thing?

Dude, I today I saw a video of a lady saying that Um, it is much better to do. It's much better to be that. I can't talk, but it's much better to be on only fence than be in the United States army because you're, because the U S government owns you. Right? And then the other lady's like, what did you just say? She's like looking at her. She's like, dude, your cycle. Yeah. Like what you just said that it's better to sell your body to the Satan than be actually protecting our country.

You'd be surprised. These women are making money. They're making money.

Oh, they're making millions of dollars. Big millions.

I have one thing to say about this. Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. Weak men create good times. 100%. This is the cycle we're in right now.

Yeah, 100%. You could see how everybody that lived a very good life as a childhood, Right now they're struggling. It's tough for them. People who went to college, people who were spoiled by their parents, people who got everything. They never got spanked. They never got punished for anything. Look at every single one of them. I mean, dude, these people are struggling left and right. They can't afford living. They can't afford life. They can't even do anything because their parents didn't teach them anything. So right now we're living in a hard time. It's going to create even a harder time for these people. Yeah. Right. But people who are actually taught how to work, make their own money, make a living, protect their family. We do it. We're golden.

I think this is what you meant. I think we're living in an easy time, but I think that's what you meant to say, because there's no discipline. Nothing's being enforced. People are living. Yeah.

Which is going to create the hard time.

Exactly.

Yeah. Yeah. Right now is a very easy time. Yeah, you're completely right, because nobody's held accountable for shit that they do.

Right. It's unfortunate.

Right. They could commit crime. They could do whatever they want. I literally came to a realization about a week ago. The reason why they don't charge all these criminals is because there's no money of them. They don't make any money from these criminals and everybody's like, Oh, this guy broke into my house. Why is he not getting arrested? He has nothing for the government.

Huh? Why aren't they charging criminals? Tell me more. I don't know what you're talking about.

I think it's because they don't make any money on criminals because the thing is, if you lock up somebody who keeps committing crime and they don't have a house, they don't have a car, they don't have money, they don't have insurance. They're going to spend more money on charging him and take him to jail. than just letting him release it. But now you go, and let's say you drive without insurance. Well, they're going to charge you right away because you have money. I don't have insurance right now.

I don't have insurance.

Yeah. Think about what if, let's say you have two beers and you drive. Instantly, they're going to be like, well, let's take you down there. Let's test you on everything else. They see money. When you have money, they're going to charge you with every single thing they can. That's where the profit is.

I might sound like an extremist, but I think there's going to be, there has to be a new world order. This government is not going to hold up for long. The people are fed up and all we're missing is a union action. If the world, the people in America at least just united on the same decision.

We're too divided and we, we, we keep letting the government divide us too much. Yeah. Right. Because now with the whole, whatever now with the whole transgender stuff and um, transgender day was on Easter. Yeah, that really pissed me off because Easter is really big for me.

That's very disrespectful to Christians. You know, another thing, I don't want to go back to the Palestinian issue, but there is a very small population of Palestinian Christians living in Gaza, and they're going to be extinct after this war. There's only like 3,000 before the war, and now there's less than 1,000 left. They're Christians. So this is not a Muslim issue, this is a humanitarian issue.

So they're attacking everybody that's there?

Right, right. Anyone that's Palestinian. That's insane. That's unfortunate, yeah. But this isn't the only issue going on. There's Africans in Congo being slaved for the materials that we use for our phone. There's Chinese people in Uyghur, not Chinese people, that was very...

In Taiwan, how they're trying to attack Taiwan. China has slavery left and right. There's so much messed up stuff happening in the world, but America controls a lot of it. We're going to face the repercussions sooner or later. So they have to, right? But do you think we're going to have a civil war?

Potentially. But if we do, I'm coming here. We're going to hide out here.

We'll be in the ceilings. I mean, just think about it. Like, what else could stop this?

If everyone, the only thing that could really stop this is unity of the society. Like if we all, imagine no one paid taxes.

But so 100%, but if everybody stood up and did this shit, there's always going to be that one lunatic that's like, nope, the government's with me and I love it. And I'm going to be with them.

That's the issue.

You know what I mean? They don't see, but they're the ones who complaining like, oh, you're rich. Look at what you have. You should pay more taxes. You should do this. Well, no, you should get your lazy ass off your couch and go work.

Yeah. Sure. Life is way too easy. Everything in our life is designed for comfort, is designed for ease. It is. And it's very unfortunate, especially with COVID, like it changed the game for a lot of things. Everything changed.

Yeah. Dude, the whole world shifted in a different perspective.

A lot of good came out of it. A lot of people have opened their eyes to certain things, but at the same time, it's developed a lot. You know, by 2030, like one in two people are supposed to be obese or predicted to be obese in America. One in two people? Yeah. I heard, I might be wrong. Obesity is huge in America. That's an issue. It is.

None of our food is clean. Dude, think about this. Like, if you're driving, let's say you're driving on 79th from Roberts Road to Central. Dude, you have any type of fast food chain on left and right, anywhere you go. Garbage. Dude, every like literally one block, you get stopped by gas station, McDonald's, Burger King, Taco Bell, Wendy's, iHub. Dude, this shit's everywhere.

I'm grateful for the Arab community here. We got some good food.

You guys got some good food, especially authentic Arabic food. I don't know. Um, I had a buddy that told, well, no, I went to, um, one time I was on the North side and I actually got a full Arabic meal where it was like the kebab chicken with hummus, rice, everything on a plate. Yeah.

Yeah. Uh, I forgot what it's called. Noon kebab or something.

Maybe, and they bring it out on a plate and everything's all there. It is insanely good. And the thing is that I took that, so I got that because I thought I could finish it. Dude, I had lunch, I had dinner, and I was so full. But you feel so good after it because there's so much protein and good stuff.

It's clean food. It's actually like it's coming from a good resource and a good distributor. And yeah, it's a lot of proteins, good carbs, a lot of flavor.

A lot of flavor. Yeah. Right. You have chicken. You have hummus is chickpeas.

Chickpeas.

Yeah. Chickpeas. And how do you make they just press them together and add oil to it.

That oil, a couple other things, garlic, and it's a nice mix. Chicken, lamb chops, kebabs, brother, let's get shawarma. Shawarma's so good. Yeah. Man, I'm getting hungry.

Especially the new place on Harlem, Hello Shawarma. I mean, dude, I just, every time I go there, it's just, the food's always good.

Have you tried their beshka? Or you usually just get the shawarma?

No, so that's on the bread, right? So I literally, so I think I will go get this right after that.

You know, we need to order this one right now.

Yeah, I think so. But so what is that?

It's to sum it up, it's an Arabic Philly cheesesteak. It's like that French bread. It's that French bread with shawarma, cheese, veggies, a couple other things mixed together and toasted too, bro.

It's what you just posted the other day, right?

Yeah. Yeah. I literally don't even need to show him anymore. Every time I go there, I get the best guy.

Yeah, I'm going to go get that today.

It'll put you down. Make sure you finish your work. You're not going back to work after you eat that. Oh, it's heavy?

Yeah. Oh, crap, dude.

I don't like heavy stuff.

Later, later. Yeah, but that's really good, though. Yeah.

You don't see it at all, but yeah.
