Megan Spaeth - Licensed Acupuncturist

Megan Spaeth is a licensed acupuncturist and owner of Jersey Shore Acupuncture, LLC. She had the incredible honor of studying Classical Chinese Medicine with the highly respected, Dr. Jeffrey Yuen, an 88th generation Daoist preist and internationally-renowned teacher. At graduation, Dr. Yuen gifts each of his students a Chinese character that he writes in calligraphy. He spoke, “The character I want to present to Megan is a reflection of her already. That’s the character, Ming. Ming means to brighten up. It’s a gift to make people feel lighter. May she continue to shine and brighten up the lives of many who will come before her as patients and those around her now.”

In Chinese medicine, the healing mechanism is often compared to the phenomenon of light. Acupuncturists do not destroy nor heal disease, but use the body’s alchemical, healing powers to transform it. Acupuncture encourages light to enter into darkness so that the darkness will then become light. Dr. Yuen once said, “Acupuncture needles are like a beam of sunlight shining through a dark glass. With all that is revealed, the body begins to change.” Megan strives to be a channel through which the Divine can heal. She feels quite blessed to have found the miraculous medium of acupuncture to help others on a physical, spiritual, and emotional level every day.

Megan has a podcast called “Megan’s Medicine” where she shares the beauty and depth of Chinese Medicine through her lens as a Fire personality, as a modern woman, as a mother, and as an eternal student of mind body spirit medicines.
