Keta Newborn
Keta Newborn entered theatre in 2006 after 12 years as a computer engineer—and following a life-altering battle with a brain tumor that caused memory loss, mobility challenges, and forced her to relearn basic skills. Determined to live a fully functioning life, she’s spent the last 22 years reinventing herself and building a respected career in the arts.
For over 18 years, Keta has worked in theater as a Stage Manager, ASM, Venue Manager, Production Assistant, and Light & Sound Board Operator. She’s known for her attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to collaborate with diverse teams. Keta has managed productions with children, young adults, musicals, and dance performances.
As a freelance artist, she’s worked across the East Coast and aims to expand her reach across the U.S. and internationally, with aspirations to branch into TV and film.
