Olugbemisola Rhuday-Perkovich

Olugbemisola Rhuday-Perkovich is the award-winning author of several celebrated children’s books, including Operation Sisterhood, It Doesn’t Take A Genius, Makeda Makes A Birthday Treat, and Someday Is Now: Clara Luper and the 1958 Oklahoma City Sit-Ins


Her debut novel, 8th Grade Superzero, and co-authored work Two Naomis earned national acclaim, including NAACP and IRA honors. Her nonfiction titles, Saving Earth and The Sun Does Shine (Young Readers Edition), have been recognized by YALSA, SLJ, and more.


A contributor to collections like We Rise, We Resist, We Raise Our Voices, she has written for outlets such as PBS Parents, Read Brightly, and Right On! Magazine. A member of The Brown Bookshelf, she champions Black and Brown voices in children’s literature.
