Ngakoma Conner Season 1 Episode 9

Tipene dropped in the day after his show in Kirikiriroa for a korero with yours truly.  I met Tipene around the mid 2000s, he walked into the studio we were recording in with our bro Juse at Woodcut on K road.  I remember Tipene talking about his project at the time and what he was about to do.  The reason that stood out for me was because we knew how hard it was being out of towners trying to break into the Auckland Music scene and how extra we had to be to be excepted.  Luckily for us it we were stoners and just did us and weren't to worried about who was down and who wasn't because at the end of the day.  You can't denie dope music.  Fast forward nearly 20 years later , Tipene is a super star in the eyes of our people making meaning full HipHop Music weaving our culture into his craft.  listen in on our conversation about that journey.
