Just catching back up since I have been out for at least 1 month.
In Memory of my father Robert L Cooks
Hello and welcome to another episode of Tanya's Corner. I'm your host, Tanya, and I've been out for at least about a month, I think, or a little more. So much stuff going on, so many things came up, and as I always say, life has been life and just going on and on with everyday life in itself is just ugh, it could be a hassle. And even though sometimes I know how life is, and I'm, you know, spiritually awoke, it doesn't mean that I am not subject to the pressures of life and the things that befall us in life. So today I'm not quite sure what I'm going to talk about. I have several things that have come to mind that can be spoken about on this particular podcast. But we'll see what drops into my spirit or what drops into the speaking or drops into this podcast as I am talking. First thing I want to speak about is uh there's a scripture that comes to mind. Beware of wolves in sheep clothing. Um I personally, while I've been out, came prey to a um a scam of uh making money doing um doing um trading. Now we all know that trading is new and everyone is making big money off of it, and everyone professes to be making uh money, all of these big dollars and big wins off trading. So I fell prey to that. Being as level-headed as I am, I was very upset at myself for doing you know, doing such a thing. I usually have a very level head on thinking these things, but I I got taken in by the you know, caught up in the situation myself. Things are so wicked now, and everyone is doing their own thing, and everyone is out to scheme against each other. You don't know who to trust. Uh, jobs coming in, scheming and scamming and lying and and getting you to work for free and then telling you you have to pay to get your checks. Uh, my daughter fell prey to that. You have people coming in saying they're gonna give you a loan, but you have to pay for the insurance, you know, just all kinds of things that people are doing. Sending uh messages into your inbox, talking about telegramming, telegramming money, all of these weird things going on. The world is in a state of um confusion, we're in a state of depression, a state of recession. So everyone is gonna be you know privy to people taking it, trying to take advantage of them. And I fear that this is gonna be a very bad situation coming up. There's gonna be days coming up that um we're not gonna even see these things coming. Um, just people's imaginations are running wild. We concern ourselves with stuff that we shouldn't even be concerned about. Instead of looking and paying attention to the things we should pay attention to, we're looking into someone else's business. We're looking into someone else's problems when we should focus on ourselves. This is something that um I've been saying for years. It don't pay you, it don't cost you anything to mind your own business. One of my favorite scriptures in the Bible is speaking of that you were studied to be quiet and to mind your own business and to work with your own hands as we have commanded you. That is very that is a very good scripture because you you're supposed to be studied to be quiet and to mind your own business. Uh, when I was growing up in church, uh the pastor Elder Boston Sr. used to say, mind your own business. That's the way he would come with that scripture. You can't um blame, we can't blame anyone else. We have to learn how to take accountability for our own actions. So I take accountability for letting myself get into the situation. But the accountability also belongs to the person that put me in the situation because I did let her know up front that um that I couldn't afford to get in this situation. I I was very upfront with her and let her know about the parameters of what I was dealing with. And, you know, it it she was saying to be to trust her, but that was on me. Um so anyway, the next thing we're gonna speak on is I'm gonna speak on religion a little bit here. As I've spoken about this before on some of my previous podcasts, I am not a very big person on religion. I grew up in religion. Now, a lot of people are gonna be get offended by this, especially the people that know me, because I usually keep my religion aspects, aspects, and what I believe to myself. Because it causes a lot of controversy. Religion is a lot like politics. You can't go out and speak about what president or what um political affiliation you belong, as it causes problems, discord amongst family members. Same rule applies when you speak on religion, so I keep it to myself. But I am going to say this. I do not believe that no one is going to come deliver you from some kind of controversy. I don't believe you're gonna get delivered and you're gonna live peacefully ever after. What I want you to think about, and I really honestly want you to think about this. There is nothing that you know that you learned on your own. All of us have been conditioned since birth to believe the things that we believe. You were taught by your parents, your parents were taught by their parents, their parents were taught by their parents and on and on. So when someone comes to you with a new idea, you need to be open-minded and be led by your own spirit and by your own thoughts. You can't say, Well, I know this for a fact because there's nothing that's a fact. The only thing that you can attest to is what you see with your eyes. I have a phrase that I use, believe none of what you hear and half of what you see. The reason why this is important is because you can't believe what you hear, and you can only believe partially of what you see, because your eyes can also deceive you. Don't be snared in by people telling you, oh, this ain't true. I know I seen it with my own eyes. Your eyes can only show you a small fraction of things. We don't even really know what we look like ourselves. Because you look different coming from someone else's eyes. You can put two people in a room, and I promise you, the other person is gonna see and interpret what you're looking at differently from the way you're looking at it. That's why my first question when a person comes into the understanding is Is the moon still shining when you're not looking at it? The average person is going to say yes. You cannot say yes for a fact because you're not looking at it. How do you know? Do you know anything that you are experiencing is real? Do you know? You set all of this stuff up. Just think about how things react. Reactions, how things come to be when you speak certain things, all of a sudden the next day it happens. Prime example. I was recently diagnosed with GERD. Now, I had already asked the VA about sending me a wedge pillow. They didn't know nothing about this situation. I was on Amazon looking at a GERD uh set or a GERD sleep set to help me sleep better. I was gonna purchase this sleep set. The set is about was about $300. So um me and my daughter left and went to go run some errands, and now I looked at this set the day before. I come back home that evening, and the set is sitting out in front of my door, boxed up and everything. So the point I'm making is I wanted this set, and that set appeared. We have to wonder why these things happen. Now keep in mind, I didn't ask for this, I didn't pray for it or none of that. Now I asked the VA for a wedge pillow. I asked for a wedge pillow, not a gird sleeping system. And I thought this was very interesting. Again, we have to realize that everything we know we were taught. That's why it's important to do your own research, go into your own thought and perceptions, go into your understanding. Since we all like to believe in religion, there's a scripture that says lean not on your own understanding. And I know some of you are gonna spin that to say you don't you believe in God, believe also in me. But if we're gonna go into what Christ really was teaching, we need to be unable to understand that he was not talking about what we thought he was talking about. We have to understand that his mind frame was different, he was on a whole different frame of mind and a whole different frequency than we were on. We don't want to hear that though. We want to hear he was supernatural, born of a virgin that never touched a man. We want to believe these things. I'm not gonna go into that here. But we want to believe those things again. I beseech you and I'm asking you to think on those things until your mind becomes open and you're able to accept and try to understand things that you've never witnessed and listened to before. You're gonna have a problem, rigidity, and and just having been so violent, man-made religion is so violent. We're supposed to lead with love. Love is not violence, and a love that is betrayed in religion is violence. So I want you to think on these things, and so I'm going to depart with that. Have yourself a nice rest of your week and your weekend, and I love you, and you can't do nothing about it. Have a nice one.
