I used to hold the flashlight, but now my Dad's my Light
14 years old, entering her freshmen year of high school, and her life was turned upside down in an instant when her Mom had to break the news to her that her Dad was tragically killed in an accident on the interstate.
This weeks guest, Kenedi Covert, remembers that day like it was yesterday. She tells us about her grief journey and talks about how she overcame the dark days while learning how to turn such an awful situation into a driving force to get her closer to achieving her life goals/dreams.
At the young age of 20 now, I can honestly tell you she's someone that even I will look to for inspiration. She was such a bright, poised, and motivated young lady, and we were so happy she decided to join us!
