What's going on, everybody? Welcome back to Fourth and Wrong. We are live here on a Monday night, September 22nd. A little early for us, at least this go-around this year. Um, I feel a little frazzled, Chris. Uh usually I do my research on like Monday nights, Tuesday nights, Wednesday prepping for the show, and then I'm ready to go. I feel like I know the board, even though I feel like all my bets have been pretty bad this year.
SPEAKER_01Uh what is this camera though? You look fucking great right now.
SPEAKER_03This is the same camera that I've used every single time we've done this for the last probably, I don't know, year and the same one that I have.
SPEAKER_01I think I got the one you told me to get. Your board is great.
SPEAKER_03Thank you. Thank you. A little oily right now. Haven't showered yet today.
SPEAKER_01So I showered for the first time in four days because Allie's about to come home. I had a blast, dude.
SPEAKER_03Uh, it's a big week. We are recording a little early this week, a little earlier than we normally have been, because your boy is headed to El Beth Page Black. For the Roddy Cup. I had to do that because I was tripping over my words saying Beth Page Black.
SPEAKER_01So I'm just doing like the can't even say that anymore. It's Beth Page African American. So let's also be politically correct here. Also, Eddie's here. Eddie, Eddie, what a screen.
SPEAKER_03You guys are bitter rivals this week.
SPEAKER_01We are? Oh, yeah. Shut up, Eddie. Um, just kidding. I love you. Um, glad you're here. Um, Tyler, let's share the stream first and foremost. Okay, let's get this out of the way. Um, well, the one, tell me how excited you are about the rider club. Because that's I feel like that's a bucketless thing, and I feel like you've been before.
SPEAKER_03I have not. Um, thank you for. No, you're right. I have not. Um no, so I was uh I was actually telling one of my neighbors this the other day. Uh, there was only really I'm I'm really bad at golf. I try to play. It's fun when I go out and play, but I wouldn't consider myself an avid golfer. I do like watching golf though, and um I would say that my like bucket list items for going to golf tournaments would be probably masters number one, rider cup number two, waste management number three, and then you could smatter in whatever, but I think those were like my ones that I wanted to go to. So I've already done the other two. So Ryder Cup will fulfill the trio here, fly up Wednesday night. Um get their third, you know, hang out Thursday, Friday. Go to Ryder Cup. Probably I'm going dressed as Alexander Hamilton.
SPEAKER_01That's uh Washington.
SPEAKER_03Well, I my buddy's got the other one either way, interchangeable. George Washington. Yeah, you can stay in. Yeah, same era, you know. Um, probably gonna get real hammered, and then immediately that night, Florida State, Virginia, well, Friday night action.
SPEAKER_01Fuck yes, dude. This is awesome. Oh, that's a nightmare for the you guys, though. Florida State and Virginia on a non-Saturday night.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it is gonna be a I think it's gonna be a nail biter for sure. Um, as a preview, I'm taking Virginia and the points. I think Florida State wins the game, but I just Miami on deck too. Like Miami's just sitting there, they're loving life, they're on a bye. We got this weird Virginia road night game before we play Miami.
SPEAKER_01I thought they was Malandra, like that kid leaving to go to UNLV, and then like I mean, they're they're good, dude. Also, the week the week after this one could be a very, very bad week for us because you guys have Miami and we have Vanderbilt. I shouldn't say we, but you know what I mean.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah. Um, so yeah, and then Saturday, get get back up after all that. Hopefully, knock the dust off, you know. Hopefully, the USA has performed well Friday when we go. Hopefully, Florida State's walking away with a victory. Go to the Ryder Cup Saturday. So I will be missing the day games, but then of course, we've got a great night slate. Bama, Georgia, Oregon, Penn State. Um South Connecticut. At nearly 40 years old, Chris, it's gonna be tough Saturday night to be awake for those games.
SPEAKER_01But a little care package, huh? We're gonna power through. Whoa, okay. We don't we don't all jokes aside, we are not condoning this. Dude, I've been doing Mike Brattan's podcast every Monday, and somebody I was all jacked up like I always am, and somebody was like, first off, you two know me better than most. Well, one and a half of you does. Um, and I'm not on drugs. Okay, we are not on this.
SPEAKER_03There's like this statement that someone who's definitely on drugs will just come out and uh just out of the blue say I I am not, I am not on drugs, dude.
SPEAKER_01I am not on drugs. Um, as I wipe my nose. I but like I also don't do a ton to give have people give me the benefit of the doubt of me not doing drugs, just the general antics that that I have on a daily basis. So yeah, be smooth. Everyone on the show thinks I'm on cocaine the whole time. And I'm like, no, it's then somebody today. We were talking about Chris Lowe, and I was like, yeah, or you know, they call me Chris Snow, and somebody's like, they call you Chris Blow, and I was like, This sucks, but it's also that's pretty funny. Um anyway, I think you'll be able to boot and rally. It should be an awesome, awesome Saturday for you. Hopefully, it's an awesome Saturday for all of us. Dude, this this lineup on Saturday is it's incredible from from start to finish. There are great games on all day. I am so thankful that LSU is away from home. So I don't have to go deal with that. But like, which is I love my job. It's awesome that I get to go to Death Valley. But then this weekend, it's it's cool that like they're on at the same time as LSU or sorry, as Auburn AM. That game keeps getting forgotten about. Bama and and Georgia on at the same time as Oregon, Penn State. That game keeps getting forgotten about, I feel like, from like some SEC fans, dude. Arkansas plays Notre Dame to start the day.
SPEAKER_03Sneaky good game. That's like us. I would actually kind of liken this to Florida State, Virginia, but how about Tennessee going on the road to Mississippi State?
SPEAKER_01That's not a bad game. It's that's the 415 slot.
SPEAKER_03Yep. Tennessee's only a seven and a half point favorite in that game.
SPEAKER_01That's weird to me. That's weird to me. Yeah. Is that like a because I what I would do, and I dude, my picks this past week were fucking terrible. I got so I got so arrogant, and I was like, I'm 13 and 7 on the year. Like, I'm up like however many units I've made up to put in my article. Who cares? I know I'm positive. I'm I've won money.
SPEAKER_03And I was like, we don't unit shame, that's for sure.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, ever, ever. It looked it. I think I was up three units, but a lot of people said it looked just like it was six units. It was the same amount depending on what you're betting with. So, and also Ali said it was the perfect amount of units, so there's that. Um good penis joke, anyway. Um, so so and also my Wendy's gonna be here in a second, so I'm gonna go get that. Um, I reminded that I was reminded of that because I saw Sam Pittman in the comments. Um, so that like I I I started doing dumb shit where I'm like, oh dude, yeah, like I'll just I'll I don't need to research it. Like Clemson, yeah, Clemson's gonna win. Bounce back situation, of course they will, and they'll probably score over 34 and a half points. I say that to say in this scenario, I look at Tennessee, Mississippi State, and I'm like, I will fucking buy a point, hammer Tennessee, and I'm not at a place where I'm gonna talk myself off of that. So I need you or Eddie to tell me that that's stupid. Like, is Vegas sending us like a like a clear message?
SPEAKER_03I mean, Mississippi State's not bad, dude. Obviously, given those the it's not just because it's at Mississippi State, but I mean Boozy just comes on here and he just laughs the whole time. He can't even get a real answer from it.
SPEAKER_01Okay, we should put his name as Mark Poops. What an idiot, huh?
SPEAKER_02Tennessee's good. I like that quarterback.
SPEAKER_01Joey Aguilar?
SPEAKER_03Yep.
SPEAKER_01All right, talk to you later. Um audio listeners love Booze's energy. Um anyway. No, okay. So, like, how do you want to do this, Tyler? Because we we uh did we have a good week for the newly, newly rebranded.
SPEAKER_03So here's what I'm thinking. On yeah, well, you booze, if you wouldn't mind bringing up the new uh fan line, newly rebranded fan line. Um and as we talk about it here, ornery friends, which I don't know how we missed it.
SPEAKER_01Dude, how like we've had this for years, and I was like, dude, what if we did eight? How did we miss that?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I mean, most people are on there are pretty ornery.
SPEAKER_01Look at that statue. It's like that kid in the Christmas story. A statue. Here's the deal though.
SPEAKER_03We're getting we're getting voicemails, but the problem is is that when we do one one a week, one pot a week, it's tough because we do a little recap. Usually takes us about 30 minutes to get through that, and it takes us about 30 minutes to preview, and no time for for voicemails. I think it might force us to do two times a week.
SPEAKER_01I'm in for that, dude. I really am. Like, I like I have so much fun doing this every week. I also will say every time we do this show, I get so excited to catch up with you guys that I'm like, what's going on, man? And then we we waste the first 10 minutes of the show. So, like, our YouTube numbers have to be fucking plummeting, but I'm I'm so excited to be here.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so I think what we should do is um make the grand debut of the Ornery fans this Saturday. Um, we gotta make sure we promote it. Let's get the graphic out. Let's let's make sure that we all uh it's we're team effort here. It's not just me, Chris, and the booze. The boo what what do we call them? The the booza, maybe? Anyways, um it's not just us, it's all of us. We're all a big fan. B S Move in the chat, Jeff Williams in the chat, pig skin PD, parlay, parlay P. Where's Parlay P at tonight? Is he just a Wednesday guy? Like Parlay P's not here. We need Parlay P's picks. Does he like Bama huge over over Florida State? We need insight like that. So Parley P, where are you at? I'm not I'm not I'm not uh bet shaming. We don't bet shame, we don't unishame. Um if you can't tell, I'm stalling because Chris has been delivered his wonderful. You're not gonna sit there and eat that.
SPEAKER_01This is the main thing I wanted to order.
SPEAKER_03But you're not gonna sit there and eat that while we do this, are you?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Thousand percent why.
SPEAKER_03Booza, get prepared, produza. Get prepared for the mute button over there.
SPEAKER_01I got it.
SPEAKER_03Um but yeah, ornery fans 678-962-7836 is the number. Um so please go call this weekend. We did uh I think I think I saw somebody DM me on Instagram somewhere, said they called in this weekend. Um, so we appreciate it. There was a bunch of other ones in there, but we just don't have time when we only do one pot a week. So going forward, although this week I'll be flying in from New York on Sunday, so I don't know how viable it will be. I won't even really watch any games this week. Um, so maybe if we do a recap, it'll have to be probably a Monday night.
SPEAKER_01Thank you for telling everybody that's I'm not gonna watch any of the games this week, but I'll be there.
SPEAKER_03Also, I'm fucking pissed. Uh dude, I'm gonna be on on the on the hallowed grounds of Beth Page African American. How can I watch the games?
SPEAKER_01I ordered Wendy's because they had a 60% off deal. I ordered a fuck ton of food. The last cheat meal, Allie's gone, she's coming back at like 10 p.m. Um, accidentally knocked the bottle of Ozympic out of the fridge, so it broke. So we're no more Ozempic. So I was like, I might as well, and it's 60% off, so it's basically free.
SPEAKER_03The Ozympic?
SPEAKER_01No, I wish that'd be cool. Um, but they I ordered a all I wanted was a double cheeseburger, like the double big Dave's double.
SPEAKER_03So you just hit the double Dave and then the Ozempic, and it's like nothing happened.
SPEAKER_01No, no. So if you do that before, because I'm out of Ozempic now, if you do that before, you if you eat like a bunch before, yeah, you will just throw up. And I have learned that lesson multiple times. I'll you you'll just fucking it's it's awful.
SPEAKER_03But nut nut still the same outcome, right? Where which is pretty much the calories on a head in the body, buddy.
SPEAKER_01Cheeseburger. And also, I'll just say another thing real quick, and then we'll get into the actual content. Have you seen the fucking commercials for the junior bacon cheeseburger now that are like get two JBCs and a fry for just eight bucks? This used to cost like a dollar.
SPEAKER_03Dude, there are no deals anymore. There's no deals anymore. And this economy, dude, come on. Um, all right. Let's recap last week because there was some there were some good games. We had talked a little bit. Let's just talk SEC real quick, starting at the noon game, Arkansas Memphis.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god, crazy game.
SPEAKER_03I mean, Arkansas's offense is legit.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but fifth best in points per game or explosive plays per game, or maybe both. Like it's very legit. Not not both, it's it's explosive plays.
SPEAKER_03But that fumble, dude, just going in like the game was supposed to be over.
SPEAKER_01It should have never been in that situation, Tyler. They were up 28 to 10. They're up 28 to 10. And here's what's worse. I like I've heard Arkansas fans be like, oh, yeah, you know, I just like they find new ways to lose. I'm like, it's probably not that big of a deal, right? They're like 17 and 43 in their last 60 games that are one one-score games. Okay, even worse.
SPEAKER_03Stat boy, check on that. 17 and 43. What's the stat, Chris?
SPEAKER_0117 of their last or I mean, well, I'm not gonna pull it up, but 17 of their last like 17 and 43 in their last 60 games in one score games. And don't fucking chat GPT this either. Like, is because unless I'm right, if you fucking correct me with a stat GPT thing, I will lose my mind, booza. Um we start that so they they were 17 of 17 in the red zone to start the season, Tyler. 17 of 17. Those 17 trips, all touchdowns, only team in America fumbled on the seven-yard line.
SPEAKER_03They that they did. That was a tough one. That was a tough loss for for Arkansas. I still even you know, despite that, and they've lost in a heartbreaker to Ole Miss the the week before. Like Arkansas still seems like a good team. I mean, I they're they're still, I think they're still a better team than Florida, Kentucky. Miss Yeah, I think they're better than Mississippi State. Uh they're probably better than South Carolina. It's just you gotta win games.
SPEAKER_01You know why they're not? Like it, like they're better in Kentucky, they're better in Florida. You know why they're not better than South Carolina, and they're not a good team, and I hate to say this because I really want Pittman to be there. Um, you gotta play defense. Did you watch the final drive?
SPEAKER_03I did.
SPEAKER_01The fucking quarterback dragging like a 350-pound.
SPEAKER_03I mean, that's come on, man. It's tough to go into Memphis, dude. You don't go into Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium and just stadium sucks so bad.
SPEAKER_01It's so bad. Why is it shaped like what is that about?
SPEAKER_03Memphis could be that their stadium needs to be. I feel like they're a bigger program than that stadium that they have. That's doesn't the FedEx guy like Arthur Smith's dad, like, doesn't he give money to to Memphis?
SPEAKER_01Arthur Smith uh no, I don't know.
SPEAKER_03Arthur Smith. Uh, anyways. Uh newer, huh? Going to Norman, number 22 at the time, Auburn 17, Oklahoma 24. Oklahoma covers the spread. I don't know how, but they did. Uh Chris, you've been very vocal online about this game.
SPEAKER_01Tell us your thoughts. I had too many tweets about it in a row. I didn't realize how many were in a row.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Kind of feels like you're like stomping for your girl on this one.
SPEAKER_01I would, because I love her to death and she's my favorite person. But also, here's the thing. Just fucking.
SPEAKER_03You really are gonna eat that, aren't you?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, a thousand percent. Wow. I haven't eaten in weeks, dude. Osempic.
SPEAKER_02Um, so here's the guys are all here.
SPEAKER_01Hey, John Glass. Oh, John Glasgow's in the in the chat. We got over a thousand live viewers, by the way.
SPEAKER_03Oh, yeah, we didn't even see that.
SPEAKER_01Wow. Spicy baby. So big night. Here's the issue.
SPEAKER_02Big week, big week.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Here's the issue I have to say with this. I I don't care that no one, you're not gonna ever be like finding me being like, oh man, Drake meme, like oh man, like Auburn lost. Like, I'm not gonna be upset about that. I do want the SEC to figure it the fuck out. I just want you to do things that that make sense and and protect the sport, protect the product. I don't give a shit about the brand. I know that's that's not a lot of people are gonna believe me saying that. I don't give a shit about the SEC. I want you to fucking get things right. And so it's frustrating when you see something, it's like I'm watching this game and I'm like it's a beautiful Auburn loss because it gave them so much uh valid and genuine hope moving forward, which is hilarious. Like, oh well, just you know, Jackson Dart just you know, it connects on one of those deep balls to Cam Coleman. If the offensive line just gives up eight sacks instead of 10, like we could have won that game, and so it has them believing all over again.
SPEAKER_02Eight sacks instead of ten.
SPEAKER_01That's insane. This is the best Auburn, this is the best Auburn offensive line they've had in 15 years. Hands down. So the problem is this uh what's up, Krista? Uh great, great tailgate spot. If you guys ever come to Baton Rouge, which we're gonna have to have you guys do at some point, Krista has an incredible spot. It's like, dude, it's like a hundred yards across the street from the stadium, like on the main drive of the stadium. It's incredible, it's in like the shadows of the stadium. Anyway, you have a situation where they try to run a trick play. I know that because the entire formation is not a normal setup, and as they do that, the guy checks in with the ref, which is fine. Just because he did that doesn't mean they got it right. It means the ref is a fucking idiot who doesn't know how to do his job. If you hired me to do your taxes, and I said, Yeah, I did it, you're good, dude. You're got it 1099, boom boom, whatever.
SPEAKER_03Would not advise.
SPEAKER_01No, if I did that and I gave you a thumbs up, you don't go to the IRS and then say, Yeah, man, he said it was good. Like the use, I know he said it to the official, and then they ran him out on the route. The issue is they ran an illegal play. Hugh Freeze and his and his defensive staff saw it, tried to call a timeout, you didn't give him the timeout. So now we're 0 for two. And then they ran the play, it scored a touchdown, and everyone in the booth, including the rules official, who has to have some sort. What are we doing with him in the booth if what's up, Pep? What are we doing with him in the booth if if he's not on the show? If if he's not gonna have any sort of overseeing and implementing of the rules, he's like, Yeah, I'm looking through the rule book that we made for the sport you're watching right now. Um, says you can't do that, it should be a 15-yard penalty. And then they were like, touchdown, we'll go to commercial break. At any point, they could have stepped in and been like, you can't do that. That's the fucking rule. That's why we have a rule book. It doesn't mean that Oklahoma won because of that. I'm very, very, very tired of watching a product that that is putting having millions of dollars in resources put into it and producing billions of dollars in revenue be this fundamentally fucking stupid and flawed because of officiating. End of rant.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I mean, officiating across the board and in college, it's not an SEC problem. I mean, ACC officials are just awful. Um I I don't know. I don't know how they fix it. Um seems like there's a lot of money pumping into the sport these days. Figure throw a couple bones that way and maybe get some more qualified officials. I don't know.
SPEAKER_01$2,500 a game, Tyler. That's what they get paid.
SPEAKER_03That's not a lot. Let me speed through the rest of the SEC. Let me tell you, tell me what you think stands out. Uh Ole Miss 45, 28, 10. I thought that was very impressive. I didn't. Let's see. The Missouri-South Carolina game, Missouri 29, South Carolina 20. So South Carolina ends up covering the spread after all. And then Miami 26, Florida 7 was the other one there.
SPEAKER_01How about Florida 0 for 13 on fourth on third downs? 0 for 13.
SPEAKER_03Oh yeah, one point it was half it was halftime. They had like six yards. They had one first down. They had one first down through midway through the third quarter. That's not Billy's fault. Who's calling the plays?
SPEAKER_01Oh, is it Billy? Is it Billy doing it? The call's coming from inside the house.
SPEAKER_03I had a busy day today. I briefly saw before I got on here that I think Bruce Pearl retired. Did that happen?
SPEAKER_01Tough day in the Marlar household, Tyler.
SPEAKER_03Tough day. So that happened. That happened. And then um did Florida did anybody lose their job between him?
SPEAKER_01No. I killed it for the Falcons.
SPEAKER_03Luke Fickle.
SPEAKER_01No one else got fired.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01DJ Lagway's also hurt. He's in a walking boot. If a hurricane hit Ben Hill Griffin Stadium tomorrow, it would be like the third biggest issue facing that program. They would be like, well, just go to the intermural fields. Fuck it. Who cares, dude? Does anybody even want to come this weekend?
SPEAKER_03Napier at this point is just the coach and title. I mean, at this point, the the schedule they have coming up.
SPEAKER_01It just it could be one and seven. And then play Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Florida State. Tough. They'll turn it around. He just needs a couple more years. You know?
SPEAKER_03Anything you want to say on the Missouri South Carolina game?
SPEAKER_01It's fucking embarrassing. Like Ahmad Hardy's great. Um, that was awesome. I said before the season the person I thought was going to lead the SEC in rushing was Ahmad Hardy. Um, I thought he was fantastic. Breaking tackles. He he leads the SC or the SEC, I think the nation and broken tackles. He clearly helped his case there that gets in this game because they did not want to tackle South Carolina's not a good football team. They they don't they don't do little things right, they constantly get like the moment they have momentum, they shoot themselves in the foot. It's very tough to watch, it's very frustrating. They're exciting because they will be in games because of Lenora Sellers. But like, do they I tweeted out at halftime? I was like, man, the run game, so tough. Just, I mean, like, it's been so bad. They had one yard rushing. I didn't know they were gonna have 10 yards less than that at the end of the game because when they only had one, it felt like that was the low point. They ended with negative nine. Lenora Sellers threw for 300 yards passing. South Carolina had less than 300 yards of offense.
SPEAKER_03Tough, tough day at the park for the L-line.
SPEAKER_01Real bad. Real bad.
SPEAKER_03Um, I may be out of the game of betting preseason totals at this point. Because how do you know what anybody's gonna be? Yeah. I mean, to your point, uh, South Carolina, like you, you were all in on South Carolina, maybe because he's a little too too close to the program. Some might say.
SPEAKER_01I think I was.
SPEAKER_03Um, you got a team like obviously uh in Oklahoma, where it's like you thought maybe they could be, and yeah, now they're proving that they are.
SPEAKER_01A lot of season left for Oklahoma.
SPEAKER_03There is. There's there's a there's a couple tough games coming up for Oklahoma, including the big one. The old rival.
SPEAKER_01But see, here's the thing about Oklahoma, dude. I I thought they're I think they're really good. The defense is crazy good. Uh like objectively speaking, if you watch that game, Auburn gave up 10 10 sacks, missed several, several deep balls to Cam Coleman that would have gone for touchdowns. Several. And had basically like you gifted the seven points. Not not saying that like that would have won the game, but it does put him back to the 37 or 38-yard line. So you're you're having a loss of downs, third and 37, and it's like a 56 or 55-yard field goal. You not even mentioning the the overturn touchdown on the fumble recovery, which I thought was a good call to be honest. Um, but all that, you won by seven because of a uh uh safety on the last like offensive play for Auburn. And also, side note, Auburn onside kicking their punt after the safety. Are you allowed to do that? That was fucking hysterical. Like, I mean, but then like what I'm saying is Auburn may be very good, but Oklahoma won that game at home by seven points with all those things having to go in their favor, and now they still have to go play LSU, Alabama, Texas, Ole Miss, South Carolina. Who am I missing? Mizzou. Like, they have a tough, tough schedule.
SPEAKER_03Who do you think is the best team in the SEC right now?
SPEAKER_01Georgia.
SPEAKER_03Do you? Interesting. Okay. Um, Big Ten, real quick, just recapping again. Wisconsin loses straight up to Maryland. We talked about them as a potential uh underdog for the money line. Maryland's just straight up better than Wisconsin. Wisconsin's really bad.
SPEAKER_02They're really bad.
SPEAKER_03Uh I'm surprised Luke Fickle was not fired today. Um obviously, Michigan gets the big win against Nebraska. Nebraska just can't get over the hump. I mean, Underwood was okay in the game.
SPEAKER_01Like, he did enough, obviously, but they had like three touchdowns and like and 165 yards on three broken plays, and like it's so frustrating because they they they were the better team, but I really wanted Nebraska to win that game.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. And then I I just I think the people have been asking, waiting for you to talk a little bit about Indiana, the wagon that is Indiana, 63 to 10 over number nine Illinois.
SPEAKER_01Oh, so many less than 100 follower Indiana Twitter accounts are in my fucking mentions right now. And listen, they're not gonna watch this show.
SPEAKER_03Let's go who's yours.
SPEAKER_01Um they're good. They're good. They're like that. Was really impressive.
SPEAKER_03Um Francisco Mendoza.
SPEAKER_01I hate his face.
SPEAKER_03That's the guy that was at Cal. I think it was at FIU at one point, maybe Miami.
SPEAKER_01Eddie, bring up a picture of that guy. I hate his face. Oh, remember the alien stickers you would get out of the fucking vending things at like a Dave and Buster's when you were 11. Remember that? Like that they were like shaped like this, like a like that. Not a heart, but if you can see what I'm doing.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I got you. Anyway, uh, anyways, my point about him, he's 14 touchdowns, zero interceptions on the year. What? Francisco Mendoza. Uh Indiana's legit.
SPEAKER_01I hate it. First win against a ranked team since 2019.
SPEAKER_03Had USC minus 18 and a half. Michigan State scores a late, late, late touchdown to ruin that for me.
SPEAKER_02I think USC might be good.
SPEAKER_03Had Illinois plus 7.5. That worked out. I don't think I yeah. I did have Maryland over Wisconsin. Um Clemson. We do we talked a lot about Clemson last week, so this is just a continuation here. Uh 34 to 21. Syracuse takes down Clemson, which by the way, like Clemson starts to make somewhat of a comeback, and then Syracuse's quarterback tears his Achilles. No problem. No problem for the orange. Just continuously going down the field on that Clemson, that vaunted Clemson defense. I don't, I've I sincerely wonder what's gonna happen to Dabo at the end of this year because it doesn't seem like the team's trying very hard anymore.
SPEAKER_01You know what's crazy is that that after the game, Kate Klubnick talks to the media and had the fucking audacity to say anything about defensive fake faking injuries. They lost by like 20 points. Their offense is bad. You're one and three, dude. Like you're one and three, and these are two to three losses are at home. Oh, and by the way, the game you won, you were down to fucking Troy 16 to 3 at the half. Like, yeah, at some point, look in the fucking mirror and like maybe just don't say that because that looked pathetic to me. Also, Fran Brown is just somebody they they found on TikTok to come in here and coach this team, and it's fucking awesome. He's I mean, they're like, hey, are people trying to poach your program, coach? Coach is uh hey, from the Daily Gazette here. Are people trying to poach you? Fucking try and poach my team, dude. Poach my team, see if I don't call your ass out. And you're like, good lord. A lot of uncomfortable whites in those press conferences, I'll tell you that.
SPEAKER_03Love that. Um, obviously, I think Miami is probably one of the top two teams in the country at this point.
SPEAKER_01Um, how does that make you feel about it?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I that that game, like again. Well, I'm not on the team, I don't have to focus on Virginia, but hopefully the team focuses on Virginia, and then we we take care of business. I'm sure game day will be there. It's gonna be a nightmare for Herb Street. I hope Florida State fans look, I get it, we hate him, but just don't be don't just be classy, all right.
SPEAKER_02They won't, but I mean move on.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, maybe Ben will protect him or whoever, whatever dog he's got now.
SPEAKER_02Good lord.
SPEAKER_01Wow, whatever dog he's got there now.
SPEAKER_03We'll protect him. Sorry, can't keep up with his dog that he brings on there's a different dog. What's his name? What's his name?
SPEAKER_01It was wild, and this is somebody that has brought several corgis onto this show, but this is like that dude having his dog die, and then being like, But wait, there's a new one, and I was like, Oh man, that's cool. That was I mean, that was a quick, quick replacement. It's like Pam's office.
SPEAKER_03Something weird going on with Kirk these days. I don't know.
SPEAKER_01Have you noticed him force cuss words out during game day?
SPEAKER_03No, I no.
SPEAKER_01I actually I he keeps calling Pat. He's he's done it twice. I shouldn't say keeps, but he's done it twice to to Pat McFee. He's like, You son of a bitch, and it's like, what? And it's in the most weird times he does it. He's like, Man, you're you're out of breath there, you son of a bitch, and it like it doesn't deliver it. Well, it's it's super fucking weird, dude.
SPEAKER_03They're trying to be edgy because Fox got barstool. Dude, what the damn, you stupid hell. What's going on with you, huh, Pat? With the freak Chandler. TC's special teams forces are legit. Anyways, um the the classic, like, this is why the ACC will always be the ACC. Cal, everyone's talking about their freshman QB, like, oh, Cal, kind of a sleeper. Defense is pretty good. They go out and lose 34-0 to San Diego State.
unknownJesus Christ.
SPEAKER_03They were a 13 and a half point road favorite and lose 34-0. I have no idea.
SPEAKER_01Brian Harson.
SPEAKER_03Uh, Oklahoma State loses to Tulsa. Bye-bye. Our sweet prince. You know, that this pod has a a nice little relationship with with old Coach Gundy.
SPEAKER_01He's our best friend, basically, people are saying. Um demanding he take his shirt off in front of Maria Taylor pre-2020 when the world went to shit. Um, that guy also like they haven't scored, I think they've scored seven points versus FPS teams since November 23rd of last year.
SPEAKER_03But the game's not gonna be the same without Gundy, though. Yeah, it will. It'll be the exact same.
SPEAKER_01But nobody's tuning into Oklahoma State football ever.
SPEAKER_03Like, and a metaphorical it's it's a personal thing, Chris. I mean, I guess you don't get it, which hurts even more.
SPEAKER_02Well, that's fair.
SPEAKER_03Uh the the last thing I want to talk about from last week. Texas Tech's like kind of legit, dude. Oh my god, they're and by the way, that backup quarterback that came in, like they're better with him.
SPEAKER_01Nails.
SPEAKER_03He was a four-star uh redshirt freshman. Like that Baron Morton, like that that just sounds like a kid that should be playing at like Texas Tech or TCU, but Barrett Morton.
SPEAKER_01That sounds like a fucking internship that every person I hated in college went to in the summer. Well, I'm gonna work at Barrett Wharton this summer. Fuck off, dude. That kid also is 11 years old. Um and dude, they're good though. They play really sound defense. I mean, they went on the road and kind of bullied Utah around, and that game was out of hand late. Like it was closer for three quarters than that score would indicate. But also, like, think about how many turnovers they had to get, like mistakes in like self-inflicted mistakes they did. Like, I mean, it was it was awesome. They had a 56-yard field goal.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they're good.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, very good. Uh, defense defense is especially good. Um, all right, let's get into this the slate this week. Uh, obviously, a huge week. You want to start big, you want to start medium? Where do you want to start?
SPEAKER_01Medium. We'll we'll save it for last like we always do.
SPEAKER_03All right, let's go. Notre Dame. Taking it on the road, number 22, Notre Dame. Somehow still ranked.
SPEAKER_01Unfucking real. Um really like that pretty good game, by the way. Like boy, Toki Riley, the kid from LSU that you guys brought up in the in our chat. He finally moved uh Notre Dame down to 13 after they won.
SPEAKER_03Oh, that's good. After they finally won the first game, they finally moved.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Um Notre Dame goes in Arkansas, Arkansas at home, Donald W. Reynolds Stadium.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03Six and a half point underdog. Total 64 and a half. Notre Dame, not a great defense this year. No, starting to figure it out on offense a little bit. Um, this seems like a last stand for Pittman here. Yeah, I think I'm gonna take the hogs in the points. I don't think they win the game, but I think it'll be close. Two two three-point game, high scoring, you know. But um, I mean Pittman's got this is his last stand, dude. Like, if you lose this, and then you get into the meat of the schedule for the SEC, like you're toast. I mean, you've played you lost to Memphis, which was already probably the nail in the coffin, but and they're not a bad team, but they also lost the whole minute for that. Yeah, exactly. You you you were on you're like on the precipice of being undefeated, undefeated going into this game, and this game being a lot bigger. Um, but I don't know. I could definitely see Arkansas winning the game, but I'll I'll at least take them in the points. What do you got in this game?
SPEAKER_01I think they're gonna win. And and I think it's like they're either gonna win by three or they're gonna lose by 30. And I think they're gonna win by three. If Talon Green can protect the football, they can beat Notre Dame. I will also tell you, I wonder if things go sideways quick, like if he has a turnover early, um, and they get behind by 14, they will roll over and die. Flat out. Um, so I'm hoping it doesn't happen. I'm hoping for a good game. That's all I got.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah. Um, let's see, elsewhere in the SEC, 330 on ABC, Oxford, Mississippi VOT, Hemingway Stadium, number four. LSU goes in to Oxford to face number 13, Ole Miss. Ole Miss currently, despite being ranked less, a two and a half point favorite, total 55 and a half. Chris, I know you know a lot about the LSU program. What do you got for me here?
SPEAKER_01I we need to talk about the main story. I see it in the in the backstage.
SPEAKER_03All right, let's talk about the story leading into the game. Because at this thought, this is a main storyline, and I feel like we got to choose how this plays into what we think in this game. Because to me, for those that are just on the audio, news broke uh shortly before the pod starts to record by uh Landry Kiffin herself, Lane Kiffin's daughter, uh, that she apparently is either quite friendly or at least per her caption is happy with the starting linebacker of LSU Whit Weeks.
SPEAKER_01I mean, wild, wild to announce us the week of. I mean that that is announced by her.
SPEAKER_03So it's you know, like I feel like this is fair game.
SPEAKER_01He dwitt is like he's so great to talk to because everything he says is just like like, hey man, what do you want for dinner? He's like, Man, I love Chinese food, but I also I can eat sushi, dude. I also love barbecue. What are you thinking? Did I love you? What are your your opinions? Are your mom and them coming over? Like he wants everyone to be happy about he's like the nicest, most genuine politician you've ever met. Yeah, there's no chance that this was announced without Kiffin knowing. And there's a part of me that thinks that he was behind it. Like, like, not like where he was like, announce it this day, but like I don't I don't have it in me to not to not think to myself that he at the very least was like, you know what would be funny is if you announce it the week of the game. Because she had to tell him, he had to know.
SPEAKER_03I mean he tells me that that that tells me that Kiffin's confident going in this game.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Also, the the line opened at one and a half for LSU and then closed, or not closed, it's now at two and a half. That opened yesterday, it's now two and a half in favor of of Ole Miss. I think Ole Miss, like like specifically talking about the game, like I think Ole Miss is really good. I think Trinidad Chambliss is really good. I think he's the answer at quarterback. I mean, I think the upside's a lot higher with him. They they keep saying that I've heard people say the upside is higher with Simmons, and that's probably why he started to start the year. Fine. But like putting that kid in starting QB this week is a mistake. Like, like flat out, like he doesn't have enough experience. The experience he does have, like, the sample size for each is the same. It's two games. Simmons played against worst competition. I mean, Tulane's a good team, like we said. Arkansas, that's a big game. Trinidad Chambles came in and put up over 415 yards of offense in both games, five touchdowns. Um, I mean, completion percentages higher, more explosive plays, like they like zero turnovers, most importantly. He's he's your starter. There's no quarterback controversy there. If you would have said in the beginning of the year that, like going into September or at the end of September, Trinidad Chambless from fucking Ferris State is gonna be the best quarterback that that LSU's faced, we would have all laughed, right? He's the best quarterback LSU's faced so far. I was gonna save some of this, you know, juice for later. And I got plenty though. This is also the best defense he's gonna face. And LSU hasn't won there in the last two years. Uh, last two trips to Oxford. Ryan Kelly snapped the the losing streak at Bama or to Bama at home his first year. He snapped the opening week one losing streak uh this year when they beat Clemson. This is the next streak he's got to snap. And they're a little bit banged up, they haven't looked great offensively, but something tells me that they've got some wrinkles in that offense, they're gonna fucking unleash and and they are going to they're gonna go in the Oxford and beat Ole Miss. I don't think it's gonna be a blowout by any means, but I do think it's gonna be convincing. And when I mean convincing, I mean they're gonna impose their will, especially defensively. Blake Baker is gonna throw shit at that kid, whoever's starting at their quarterback that he's never seen before, and he's gonna be running for his fucking life all night from both Weeks brothers. Harold Perkins is gonna have a huge game, and I'm telling you right now, Chris Hilton, he told me in Atlanta at Meady Days, I said, Hey, a lot of Games on that schedule that could be considered um revenge games, Florida, uh AM, Bama. Like, which one of those do you think sticks out the most to you that you want to get back this year? And his immediate response was Ole Miss. And I looked at him and I was like, Well, you guys beat Ole Miss last year. And his response to it was, I felt like I was the reason we lost because he he dropped a wide open touchdown pass last time they were there in 2023, and they ended up losing by like three in like a barn burner. He's gonna have a breakout game, they're gonna beat Ole Miss.
SPEAKER_03Okay, well, I'm taking Ole Miss 28, 24.
SPEAKER_01What about you, Eddie? You even laughed once.
SPEAKER_03Not a funny episode. Um another 330 game, another big one. ESPN College Station, Texas, Kyle Field, Auburn fresh off the loss to Oklahoma, goes back on the road. This time to Texas. Texas is number nine at this point. They're coming off of a bye at this point. Texas AM. Texas AM, sorry. Uh, they are currently a six and a half point favorite at home. 52 and a half is the total. I think that's the lowest in the no, Kentucky, South Carolina, obviously the lowest in this in the conference, but one of the lower totals in the conference this week. Who you got here? I'll just tell you right now, um, I'm gonna take Auburn in the points, but I do like AM to win the game. Um I think the defense is probably gonna be a little tired after this this past week. And to go back on the road is gonna be tough to get up and win this game. 3 30. So, you know, the crowd's gonna be rocking the sun and noon game. Um, I just think AM's the better team at this point. Um, and I'm gonna take them 30 to 24.
SPEAKER_01Here's the thing, you dumb son of a bitch. First off, this is right. AM's defense is kind of leaky. Okay. Um given up more than 20 points in every game they've played so far. I think they've given up an average of 22, 24, that's 46 plus 40. 40. What is that? 86 divided by three is I have no idea what you're saying. 28.7 points per game. Okay. That's a lot. That's a lot. I think Auburn gets down early. And in halftime, camera's gonna pan to the upper deck, miles above sea level. Okay, I mean it's there's like eight decks in this place, Tyler. Row after row of even more effeminate man after a more effeminate man, dressed as a milkman and a male cheerleader every single row as it gets higher. Stacked to the ceiling of the heavens with boys, okay? Boys, boys, boys, all kinds of boys. And then they're gonna pan over. Bruce Pearl's gonna be up there in the nosebleeds, dressed up like Sting. He's gonna parachute out of the fucking sky. That part won't happen, but Auburn's gonna bounce back here. That offense is too good, and AM is AM, their defense is very leaky. I don't trust their defense to hold Auburn in check the way that Oklahoma did. I don't think it's the same. I think Marcel Reed's good. I think he also struggled against Notre Dame. It's just probably a better defense than Auburn, I would think. But at the same time, like Jay Crawford should be healthy in the secondary. I thought Auburn's defense looked good uh at times against Oklahoma, right? Um, I think they're gonna go on the road. I think they're gonna win. I would definitely take him to cover.
SPEAKER_03Okay, yeah. I got him covered but not win. So I'm going against what you said.
SPEAKER_01Fair.
SPEAKER_03Anything about that?
SPEAKER_01You do it every time.
SPEAKER_03Um last one before we move on. We'll obviously get to the big game here at the end. Kentucky at South Carolina. I don't want to get what about Oregon? I just want to get I just want to I just want to get your thoughts here because uh Kentucky, this is this game is always insane, isn't it?
SPEAKER_01No, they beat him by like 25 last year.
SPEAKER_03But it but isn't it like isn't there some kind of crazy streak in this series that's weird?
SPEAKER_01There's a crazy streak in your pants, probably. Um why aren't you having fun tonight, Tyler? What's going on? Huh? What's going on? Eddie, what's going on with this guy, huh?
SPEAKER_03Give me Kentucky in the points.
SPEAKER_01You're such a dick. You're only doing that to be hurt right now.
SPEAKER_03Hurt people Kentucky plus six and a half. They may just pull the right outright upset here. What did I do? Kentucky might actually be the better team.
SPEAKER_01Why do you why are you doing this? You better hope. This one's turned out. Oh, I mean, so here's the deal. Carolina's won three in a row. Uh yeah, I guess it hasn't been okay. I mean, yeah, it's been kind of close in most of them. Um, last year's a blowout, the year before that they won by three, year before that they won by ten. Um it's at home. Kentucky's coming off a bye, but I I go with this. Mark Stoops is really bad against SEC teams that finish with an above 500 record, which I I hope that South Carolina does. I don't know. I know. Um, but Kentucky sucks. Kentucky's the worst team in the conference by far. And this would be close for me to a lock of the week in terms of um betting, like at the six the six and a half points, because here's the deal. As bad as they looked at times last week, they were still in that game. Like the North Sellers missed on a on a ball where he's like getting getting about to be hit, and all the receiver had to do was break off his route and he would have caught it. I think it was Mazio Bennett deep down the field, but he was wide ass open. Um, I mean, that game could have gone the other way with even with how bad they played. Kentucky's not a good football team. They're on the road, and again, they're not a good football team, no matter what our stupid producer says.
SPEAKER_03Gotcha. Uh, there is a ranked matchup outside of Penn State, Oregon, which I don't know why, but Illinois is still ranked number 23. They're at home. USC comes to town, they're ranked 21. They have the number one offense in the country, according to SP Plus. Um, quietly on the West Coast, their offense has been very legit. Um, even in the advanced metrics, you know, you talk about like EPA or in just the standard metrics, points, uh yards per game, points per game. USC's offense has been legit. Um, they're taking step forwards offensively. They're favored by six and a half on the road against Illinois. I think Illinois, like, Jesus. The only thing I would say is like USC going to Champaign, Illinois seems like one of those weird, it's a noon kickoff Eastern, so I guess it's probably 11 a.m.
SPEAKER_02Plus the best.
SPEAKER_03Like USC, I think it's a lot better team, but I don't know. I'm just taking Illinois, just the principle of that. What's the line on it? USC minus six and a half.
SPEAKER_02Oh man.
SPEAKER_01A lot of six and a half spreads this week. I'm gonna be buying a lot of points. It also makes me think of a couple of teasers that are bad investments. I'm gonna get myself into.
SPEAKER_03Um, I want to talk one ACC game, and then we're gonna talk one more big Big Ten game and then the big game. Yeah, just I want to talk Floor State Virginia real quick. Uh, it's a Friday night game, ESPN. Uh in Virginia. Virginia's offense is legit. Like, dude, lead legit. Like, they're a top five offense. Um, so this is kind of my like last check of the box for Floor State. They obviously, as an underdog, performed really well at home. Then they had two more home games against you know, obviously, subpar opponents, and like showed up, they looked prepared, they didn't take plays off. Now, here's the next step: do it all on the road in a weird environment. Friday, it's probably gonna be like a half dead, half whatever environment there. You gotta face legit offense. Um, how does the team respond? Right, they've been literally outside of the first drive against Bama. I don't know what's going on there. Um outside of the first drive against Bama, they've really faced no adversity. Um, so on the road, it'll be interesting. I think it'll be close. I'll take Virginia in the points, but I'd take Florida State to win at the end of the day. I think it's gonna be like 28-27, something like real like nail bite or like almost blow it. Um Oregon Penn State. Oh, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01I don't think you're the only guy that watches Florida State, so I don't say anything.
SPEAKER_03Go ahead.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, Virginia does have a top five offense, fifth, fifth, Tyler, in yards per game. And I knew these sets for right now. I'm not just looking at them as we speak. Um they also have a top 10 offense in points per game, averaging like 45 points per game. You know who's got the number one offense in the country, Tyler. Oh, yeah, maybe it's the Knowles. You know who's got the number one scoring offense in the country, Tyler?
unknownScalpum.
SPEAKER_01The Knowles. Scalpin seems so fucking aggressive. Um is it though? Like, think about what they did. That's where they got their land. That's just that's too much. Um, anyway, my bad, Eddie. Uh terrible travesty. Imagine having to move to Oklahoma in general and the way they did it too, just awful. I don't know what why did they stop on Arkansas or something? We'll talk about that another time. Anyway, um I think I think Florida State wins this game. I think Florida State's good, dude. I think Florida State's really, really good.
SPEAKER_03I do too. I do too. I just want to see it. Uh and like if if they cover this spread and they win by double digits, I think we're gonna beat Miami. I'll just say right now.
SPEAKER_01This is the game that I'm coming to the Bama game. It's Virginia on the road.
SPEAKER_03Well, you know, it's just another check mark. Just check the old box, Kurt. Kurt? Why don't you call me Kirk? Uh okay. Real quick before we get to the Bama George game, number six, Oregon goes into Beaver Stadium at night, 7 30 NBC to play number three, Penn State. Penn State currently a three and a half point favorite. Oh my god. Total is 53 and a half. Give me Oregon Moneyline.
SPEAKER_01A thousand percent. A thousand percent.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I mean, does anybody just James Franklin in this position?
SPEAKER_01And if and if and I tell you what, this sounds shitty, but I'm being honest, as I think we all are. If I hear when Penn State finally wins at home, Penn State finally did it, dude. They've turned the corner. I will fucking pull my hair out, and I'll only do it right here. So the receding hairline gets even worse. Like it'll look real stupid. And it is we've the track record is so fucking long. It's so long with Penn State. The the fact that we're still doing this is mind-blowing to me. Give me Oregon on the road, like taking care of business. I don't think it's emphatic. I think it's a good game, but Dante Moore is look really good. And also, isn't it a whiteout? Is it they're like one in nine their last 10 wideout games? Stupid. It's it's it's it's a joke.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it's kind of like it's kind of like the whole Georgia blackout thing. Like, why would you ever do that against Alabama again? You know? Um, so yeah, no, we're both taking Oregon. I think uh the total's interesting. 53 and a half. I mean, I think I like over in that I do like their defense.
SPEAKER_01I will tell you this also an underrated uh talking point and storyline here is that Jim Knowles is the DC of Penn State. Yes, and he had very, very good success against them last year in that second game. So that feels like it's at least a positive. Um, was it Tom Allen the DC last year?
SPEAKER_03Mm-hmm. It's working at working wonders at Clemson this year, though.
SPEAKER_01So I I just Penn State hasn't done anything in the in the very limited sample size I've I've seen them in, they don't do anything that impresses me. And you're just not going to convince me that James Franklin is all of a sudden going to turn this thing into a situation where he is going to go beat not a better coach, a more talented team. Because that's what Oregon is. They're a more talented team. Oh, you know what? You know what? Let's fucking do this right now, Tyler. Because we just crossed 1,980 viewers in this. And 1980 seems like a pretty fucking significant number to go into the next game we're going to talk about.
SPEAKER_03Let's go. We are going to talk about 730. Athens, Georgia, ABC, game of the week. Sanford Stadium, number 17, Alabama rolls into Athens to face the number five Georgia Bulldogs. Georgia currently a two and a half point favorite. Last I had this. 53.5 is the total. We know the struggles Georgia has had against Alabama.
SPEAKER_01What are they? Tell me about it.
SPEAKER_03The annual, the perennial. Florida State has as many wins against Alabama in the last 20 years as Georgia does.
SPEAKER_01They have more.
SPEAKER_03I win more.
SPEAKER_01They have more.
SPEAKER_03But Bama comes out, starts the year. Everybody's fired up about Ty Simpson and the boys. Come out, they lay an egg against Florida State and Tallahassee. Really, they get blown off the field. I mean, 14-point favorites to 14-point loss. Where is Bama headed from there? But then the tide, pun intended, turns around and the offense. Ty Simpson looks like he's one of the best quarterbacks that exists. Maybe one of the best quarterbacks that's ever come out of Tuscaloosa against ULM. And whoever the hell else they played since then. Wisconsin. Wisconsin. Georgia. Everyone has them left for dead. Nobody likes Gunnar Stockton. They're going to go up to Tennessee. Tennessee's finally going to get the monkey off the back. But no. Gunnar Stockton proves himself, throws an absolute dime to London Humphreys in the corner of the end zone. Georgia going nowhere. They're back. They're getting the jerseys out. The black jerseys, Athens, 7:30 night game, blackout. What happens in this game, Chris?
SPEAKER_01Are they getting the black jerseys out? You know, Tyler, here's the deal. I grew up in the state. Pepper, I think, is Allie home? She's not home. Hopefully not. I haven't done the dishes yet.
SPEAKER_03As we surpassed the 2,000 viewer mark.
SPEAKER_01We're at 2008, 2009, about to be 2012. Those are two of the three years again that Alabama has ruined Georgia's season. Let me start by saying this. I think Georgia's a great team. I think they're a great team. I think they're a great program. They're the best program in the country. Got a ton of talent. Sanford Stadium, all these idiots that think it's not a hard place to play. They've lost one game there. Lost one game there since 2017. Double overtime. Crazy loss with three interceptions from Jake Fromm to South Carolina. My third favorite team. But the narrative now becomes in 2025, Georgia, everyone counted them out. Everyone counted out the dogs, Tyler. Everyone, dude. And they get bam at home. That's the problem. They don't, no, no. Put me back on here with you. Put me back on here with you for a second. I don't want to see my huge, dumb face right now. And I'm not, I'm not ready to get into the full theatrics yet. But everyone has counted out the dogs, right? Everyone, everyone, no one believes in Kirby. No, it's just Texas Media doesn't believe in Kirby. Okay. You look pedestrian in one year in one of the games they had early in the season against, I don't fucking know, Mars Hill Academy or whoever it was in week two. You gave up 41 points to Tennessee. I'll tell you right now, Joey Aguilar is not Ty Simpson. Um Tennessee doesn't have the same amount of receiver skill as Alabama, but Tennessee does do one thing that Alabama doesn't do very well, and that's run the football. 2020, 2020, man. Another year they beat him. Okay. I grew up in the state of Georgia, born in 1986. First stepdad is white trash as I am. Georgia season tickets. I've seen it firsthand my whole life, Tyler. All these dumb motherfuckers do is talk shit in August. That's all they know how to do. And not obey the speed limit. It's those two things. All they have done over and over and over again is tell me, oh man, we're gonna beat your ass this year. You guys have no idea. And then three and a half hours later, I get a bevy of texts. I get a litany of fucking Twitter comments that are just screenshots of phantom holding plays and bad calls that went their way. That's the only reason they lost. The one time that they've beaten Alabama in the last two fucking decades. We had a white kid named Slade as our top receiver. What are we talking about right now? Okay, yeah, pretty sick. Pretty sick.
SPEAKER_03Does he have a car dealership yet in Tuscaloosa?
SPEAKER_01That guy's working at fucking Breckenridge on a ski lift, probably. I don't know.
SPEAKER_03Slade Bolden Chevrolet.
SPEAKER_01Slade Bolton Chevrolet. Oh, yeah, that's right. Georgia has said every year, every year, it doesn't matter if it's 2020 and we're all wearing masks and it's there's only 20,000 people at the stadium. Oh, we would have won that game if there was more people there. Oh yeah, in the stadium that isn't yours, I'm sure. 2021, coronation day from our boy Brian. What's his name? Used to be on 680 the fan. And you got ran out of the building in the Georgia Dome. I know what happened a couple weeks later when half the team was out. I got it. Five starters down had to come from behind. Love it. Love to see it. 2023. I heard the same thing, Tyler. I heard the same thing. 2023, yeah, they hit the back-to-back national champs. Jalen Milrow sucks. You lost to Jalen Milro. And then Saban retired. And we heard the same thing over and over and over. And I tell you what, Tyler, I hope these dumb fucking idiots decide on Saturday morning to get dressed up in the one-color shirt that I wear now because of the weight gain. And the one-color shirt and the one-color jersey that has haunted these fucking idiots' dreams for 20 years. Because the last time you did it, and you got arrogant about it, you got ran out of your own building. It was 31, 31, nothing at half. And 23-year-old Marler was screaming at Justin Woodall, finish, finish, because I had 87,000 drinks that day. I could not be more confident. I could not be more confident about this game. Ty Simpson is going to carve this defense up for 60 straight minutes. That's what I truly believe. That's what I truly believe, Tyler. And because I feel that confident, I sit here and I do some self-evaluation, some self-inventory, and I think when's the last time I was that confident? And it was January 10th. Yeah, Pepper. Get him, Pepper. The omens are here, boys. Yeah, not great. Not a great, not a great feeling right now. Pepper, Jesus. This sucks.
SPEAKER_03Pepper, you're ruining my flow.
SPEAKER_01Pepper, you're you're proving my point of what the pick is. This is the Corso headgear. I feel so overly and irrationally confident. Pepper, we got it, dude. And irrationally confident about Alabama's chances to win. There's no fucking chance Calen De Boer walks into Stanford Stadium with his inability to prepare for games on the road. Alabama's two and six in their last eight games on the road. Pepper, we got it, dude. They've lost five straight games on the road. Or not five straight. They've lost all five of Deborah's losses that have come away from home. Like they've looked not just bad, inept, unprepared, uncaring, uninterested. Georgia is going to exercise so many fucking demons on this team on Saturday night. This doesn't feel like an emotional hedge. This feels like exactly what's going to happen. Georgia's going to win this game by at least 14 points. I thought you just said Bama was going to win. No, I think that's a good one.
SPEAKER_03They've never been more confident in Bama winning the game.
SPEAKER_01Ty Simpson's going to have 300 yards. They're going to lose by 11 points. Oh. This defense that we saw what they did against, like, no offense, but a worse defense against Florida State. We saw what the offense looked like. You know what Ty Simpson's numbers were when they were under pressure? Three of 14. Three of 14. Georgia will blitz him all night. This offensive line is fucking terrible. Once again. And like, yeah, man, I really want to believe. I really want to believe. And if they if they go in there and do it again, I will be even more insufferable than all the years past. I mean, just drug-free insufferable, Tyler. So you know it's from the heart. And I have zero part of me that believes they're going to do it. Zero part of me. They will put up a ton of points, ton of points. I'm sorry, a ton of yards. There's no chance they walk into what is going to be the toughest environment they've played under De Boer. And then the biggest moment, and Kirby Smart doesn't just take this out on him. There's they they've Lost one game there in eight years. And it was a double overtime loss on a fluke. There's no fucking chance Bama wins this game.
SPEAKER_03Get ready for L number two. Bama rolls in. 30 to 28. Bama takes the dub. You wanted to take Bama, you plan on taking Bama, and Pepper talked you out of it.
SPEAKER_01That wasn't a good omen at all. No, I like. I'm not just saying this. This is not. Maybe I'll talk to the therapist and I'll get with Dr. Rocky and see what he has to say about emotional hedging and see where I'm at. It doesn't feel like an emotional hedge. It's truly how I feel. Like I feel confident that Ty Simpson can dice them up and then they're going to have some good plays on script. But we've seen this over and over again. When they get behind, which they will get behind, they don't do a good job of coming back. And I mean behind by more than one point, like they did a year ago when they were at home. Dude, they're they're a they're a 17-year-old miracle last year at home, away from losing that game in horrible fashion. Where DeBoy's probably on the hot seat immediately. And you know, I there's just no part of me that believed, like, I'm pretty sure I saw something they got back to practice on Thursday of last week. Like, he looks like how I feel like a pistachio would look if they were a human. Does that make sense?
SPEAKER_03That's a tough face.
SPEAKER_01He's an ostrich. He he he looks like the person that like if they made a Broadway musical of like Limu and Emu, the the Liberty Mutual commercial, that would be the emu.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I'd love to know how your brain works internally sometimes.
SPEAKER_01You don't like me today. I don't know. I don't really get it. I think I'm doing great.
SPEAKER_03Well, I got Bama winning this game. 30 to 28. Get the big road dub, Calen DeBore firmly back in the like lukewarm slash not really like tepid seat.
SPEAKER_01If they if they beat Georgia, I have to I we have to do something on the pod. I bet it is hell in there. Jeff Williams talking about my mental.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Does everyone had any? That's most of it.
SPEAKER_03Alright, so there it is. Chris has got Georgia. I've got Bama. We'll see who's right. We'll try to get a pod out Monday.
SPEAKER_01Please no one clip what I just said for seven minutes.
SPEAKER_03But until then, don't forget. Check out Ordnery Fan.
SPEAKER_01Do you know this picture is just in Canva? It's like Yeah, that person, it's just in Canva. You can just, I just, well, you you did it because you're the one that made it, not me.
SPEAKER_03Oh, yeah, I made that. Yeah, you're right.
SPEAKER_01And it just it just says like hot hot girl, and that's what came up.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I mean, you know, I can't see her face, but seems like a reasonable bet. Ordinary fans, 678-962-7836. Give us a call. You can split it out into two pods. We're gonna be playing these voicemails, so we appreciate it. Get all the calls in, spread the word. Ordinary fans, 678-962-7836. Chris, good luck this weekend.
SPEAKER_02I don't feel like you mean it's a good thing.
SPEAKER_03I will be cheering on America as we go on to face these dirty Europeans in the Ryder Cup. USA! USA! Let's go. Give us a call. We'll talk to you next week. Good luck, everybody. Bye bye.
