This podcast underpins my Flippin' and Vibin' brand to flip the script on traditional or normative narratives creating inequity to the self, society, sport, education, the arts & culture, as with many other disciplines. My podcast covers two strands of groups who look to flip the script in their career, research, activism and sport through (i) hearing the voices and stories of academics, educators, community activists, students, organizational heads etc., while on the other hand covering (ii) people involved within sport (e.g., athletes, trainers, coaches).

Pragmatic Innovibin': Discussing sport, neurodivergence, and identity with Dan Wood
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
In this episode I vibe with our Pragmatic InnoViber Dan Wood. Born and raised in County Durham, Dan works as a strength & conditioning coach and performance nutritionist, based currently at Durham University. Dan is passionate about championing local athletes through schemes such as the Durham Institute of Sport, where Dan leads the physical performance support of elite athletes in County Durham and as an S&C Coach for NE-XV which provides a platform for female rugby players to showcase their talent at the highest level without having to move out of the region.
Outside of work, Dan is an advocate for neurodiverse and working-class voices in higher education, sport and the arts. His ambition is to promote these and voices of a northern identity on the national level. He seeks to do this not only through his career in sport but as a writer working on his first novel; which tackles issues such as intersectional identity, neurodivergence and the effects of economic decline under late-stage capitalism on rural working-class communities.
Vibe-in with Dan and I about him growing up in the Northeast, being community-driven, enhancing his S&C experience, and navigating neurodivergence.

Dr. X
