A Surprising Invitation

Theresa contemplates if she actually died in the night. This is a special episode, I know it because I thought I had all her episodes uploaded and went back to double check and I found this one, I had somehow missed it! There's something special here... Perhaps the Lord is inviting Theresa into spiritual out of body experiences. I've heard of the Lord transporting people to other locations while they're sleeping to minister to others. Sometimes He asks them if they want to go to heaven for a visit! My own husband had a similar experience of his spirit floating up at the ceiling at night and the impression that he could just go right through the wall or go out through the ceiling! This is biblical friends and some will embark and be radically blessed some will shy away, but if Yeshua (Jesus Hebrew name) is doing the inviting, GO! It is an honor while we are on this earth.

Testing the Spirits
1 John 4:1 advises believers to “test the spirits, to see whether they are from God”. Spiritual experiences-including any sense of separation from the body-must align with Scripture’s teachings and the character of God. Any phenomenon contradicting the Bible’s central message is suspect.
A Good Check If a presence comes to you, do you sense peace or evil? Ask: "Are you the one true God, the Holy One of Israel who came in the flesh, died for my sins and on the third day rose again?
Out-of-body experiences generally refer to instances in which individuals feel as though their consciousness has separated from their physical form. While the modern term “out-of-body experience” does not appear in Scripture, the Bible includes accounts and teachings that can help shape our understanding of the soul, the body, and the spiritual realm.
II. Key Biblical Passages Often Referenced
1. Paul’s Experience (2 Corinthians 12:2-3)
Paul writes that he knows “a man in Christ who…was caught up to the third heaven.” He states he is unsure if it was “in the body or out of it” (2 Corinthians 12:2-3). This language has led many to wonder whether he is describing an actual out-of-body journey, a vision, or some other supernatural experience. Regardless of the exact nature, Paul presents this event as genuinely spiritual and deeply profound.
2. John’s Revelation (Revelation 1:10)
John states he was “in the Spirit on the Lord’s day” (Revelation 1:10) when he received the visions recorded in the Book of Revelation. Although not explicitly described as an out-of-body state, John indicates a spiritual condition that allowed him to perceive realities beyond normal sight.
3. Ezekiel’s Visions (Ezekiel 8:3)
Ezekiel writes of being lifted “by a lock of my hair, and the Spirit lifted me between earth and heaven” (Ezekiel 8:3). This suggests divinely granted encounter where he was taken to see events in Jerusalem from a vantage point he could not naturally reach.

Happy Sunday, dear friends. Say, I just want to share something with you. You know, um, the Lord likes to help me a lot. He knows I need a lot of help. Let's get real. But anyway, we've been reading, you know, the Advent scriptures and not knowing when Jesus will return at any time. And also His presence, His manifest presence is about to really hit us in a very real way. Well, anyway, um our one of our scripture readings also talked about, you know, living a holy life, um, pleasing in the Lord's sight, not living for the flesh. But anyway, um, of course I go to bed pondering all these things. And this morning, early in the morning, I felt very uncomfortable, so I repositioned myself in bed and I thought, oh now I'll fall asleep. And as I just barely got that out of my mouth, in all honesty, I think I died. Everything just became different. I mean I left my body is what would happen, my spirit that is, and I didn't get very far. I didn't get very far, maybe three feet up. I felt peace, but my thought was, holy cow, I didn't know I was gonna die today. But there was still peace. And the very next moment I know that Teddy is right next to me, my little dog. I even looked at him. I even felt his weight leaning against me. When I opened my eyes, he wasn't there. He was in the living room. Like he often sleeps unless we're having fireworks or a thunderstorm. But anyway, I wasn't meant to stay dead. But I felt like, you know, Lord, you let me experience Scripture in so many ways. We do not know the day or the hour we die or the Lord comes back. We do not know the hour or the moment when his manifest presence will overwhelm us in a great way. But may we be ready. May we be ready so that God can have his way in us and we'd be so sitting at his feet every day and in his word and just following and being about his business. You know, I I know this is interesting, but you know what? I I I didn't expect all this, but it just told me how suddenly showed me how suddenly things can happen. Just like that. Just like that.
