Growth Instigators Hotline
#370 Passion
Passion transforms how we engage with work and life, helping us find energy in obligation and meaning in mundane tasks. When connected to something that truly lights us up, we develop resilience that carries us through challenges because our purpose speaks louder than temporary discomfort.
• Showing up with energy instead of obligation when connected to work that excites us
• Pushing through difficult days because our "why" is louder than our "ugh"
• Finding meaning in mundane tasks by understanding their connection to our larger purpose
• Using the "whistling while you work" test to gauge your passion and fulfillment
• Examining areas where passion might be missing in your life
• Recognizing that passion provides perspective, not just blind positivity
What's that whistle tune from? And what's one area where passion is missing in your life and how could you bring it back? Leave us a message after the beep, and as always, keep instigating growth in all you do.
Oh, welcome to message 370 of the Growth Instigators Hotline, where we ignite your personal and professional development. I'm Aaron Havens, your host and growth coach. Fulfillment Friday the role of passion in fulfillment. Okay, so here we go. Woo, I'm going to pass out. That's a lot. Okay, do you know what that's from? Leave me a message after the beep.
Speaker 1:If you know what that little whistle tune is from, let's try a different version. Okay, here's a different version of the same idea. It's Friday, it's Friday. Yeah, it's Friday, it's Friday. Uh-huh, it's Friday. That's right, it's Friday. It's Friday.
Speaker 1:Okay, all right here, all right, here is the idea we're talking about passion. When you're connected to something that lights you up, you show up with energy instead of obligation. You push through hard days because the why is louder than the ugh and you find meaning in the mundane because you know what it's connected to. So, my friends, do you whistle while you work? My friends, do you sing on Fridays, saturdays, sundays, monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursdays? Do you sing because your why drives you, what moves you?
Speaker 1:It should be big enough to whistle while you work and to sing, and that's not just putting your head in the sand and ignoring all the hard days and just being all Pollyanna. No, it's about having passion, a perspective. So is what you're doing driving you? Is it passion? Do you love it? Thank you for calling Growth Instigator's Hotline. I'd love to hear from you. So, after the beep, two things. One, what's that whistle from and what's the name of the song? And what's one area where passion is missing how could you bring it back? And, as always, keep instigating growth in all you do.
