Top Performance Tuesday the role of feedback in high performance. So here's the one big idea I want to land today. High performers don't fear feedback. Oh no, they eat it, they munch on it, they feed on it. So if you got a text like that one, would you immediately go to negative thoughts? Why not positive ones? Isn't that strange? Maybe what you did was so amazing, it was mind-blowing.

You don't become excellent by guessing. You grow by listening, adjusting, owning, rebuilding, celebrating. And that only happens when feedback becomes your fuel, not your threat. I get it. Feedback can feel like a hit to the ego, but when you're serious about growth, you learn to ask for it before it's given and apply it before it's comfortable.

Speaker 0:

Let me give you a quick picture. Imagine a Formula One driver refusing to talk to the pit crew. Yeah, I don't want to hear that the tire's low or the engine's hot, I'm just going to trust my gut. Yeah, that's a crash waiting to happen. It takes a whole team, but that's what we do.

When we avoid feedback, we pretend silence is safety. It's not, it's sabotage. Author Ken Blanchard said it like this Feedback is the breakfast of champions. That's not, it's sabotage. Author Ken Blanchard said it like this feedback is the breakfast of champions. That's right. And you're not skipping breakfast, right?
