Growth Instigators Hotline
#378 Finding your unique leadership style
Leadership is about authenticity, not imitation. You lead best when you lead like yourself on purpose, with clarity of values, honesty of voice, and the courage to lead consistently from the inside out.
• Different leadership styles work for different people—like various types of shoes
• Trying to wear someone else's leadership style leads to ineffectiveness
• Great leadership flows from clearly defined personal values
• Pay attention to feedback about when you're at your best
• Stop chasing someone else's blueprint for leadership
• Authentic leadership makes the soul visible and creates lasting impact
Visit growthinstigatorscom to share how I can help you or your team grow. Consider: what's one way you can serve your team by trusting them with more?
Have you ever met someone who leads like a bulldozer, all dressed up and looking good, Trying to be someone? They're not polished on the outside, but chaos underneath, destruction underneath? Yeah, not you. My friends, Welcome to Message 378 of the Growth Instigators hotline, where we ignite your personal and professional development. I'm Aaron Havens, your host and growth coach.
Speaker 0:Winning Leadership Wednesday Finding your unique leadership style. Here's the one big idea I want to land today. You lead best when you lead like yourself, on purpose. Great leadership isn't about mimicking someone else's tone or pace or polish. It's about clarity of values, honesty of voice and the courage to lead consistently from the inside out. Your team doesn't need a carbon copy of someone famous. They need you showing up grounded in who you are and how you lead best. Yeah, I like to have fun. My leadership better reflect whimsy or else I get bored. How about you? Let me give you a quick picture.
Speaker 0:Leadership styles are like shoes. Some people are sneakers, or what are they called? Sneakers whatever? Quick, flexible, always moving. Others are like hiking boots steady, rugged, dependable. Some are even like Crocs oh my. Yes, Surprisingly effective in unexpected places and odd all the same. But if you wear someone else's shoes for long, you'll trip and you'll blister and eventually you'll just stop running all together. The same is true in leadership. So here is your growth challenge for today Define your values.
Speaker 0:Your leadership style flows from what matters most. Pay attention to feedback. When are you at your best? What energizes others? When you're leading well, and stop chasing someone else's blueprint. Your style isn't supposed to look like theirs. It's supposed to work for you and for the people you serve. As bill ge said, the authentic self is the soul made visible. The authentic self is the soul made visible. And your leadership without soul. It may be loud, but it rarely lasts. Thank you for calling Growth Instigator Hotline. I'd love to hear from you. Visit growthinstigatorscom and let me know how I can help you or your team grow. Here's the question for today what's one way you can serve your team? By trusting them with more and, as always, keep instigating growth in all you do.
