#408 Frames. Broken and rebuilt
We explore how a simple frame can change what we notice, how we lead, and what habits we keep. A listener story about replacing a cracked frame becomes a metaphor for upgrading routines and challenging stale assumptions.
• frames as everyday objects with deeper meaning
• listener story: broken frame, vivid photo
• when old frames no longer serve growth
• leaders challenging assumptions and reframing
• small upgrades to routines and habits
• experimenting with new inputs to refresh perspective
• reframing as a catalyst for clarity and action

Welcome to the Growth Instigators Hotline. I'm Aaron Habins, your host and growth coach. This is Message 408. This week is all about frames. An everyday normal object that we can assign deeper meaning to. Something that can grab our attention and represent something beyond. What are some lessons we can glean from frames? It's been great hearing all of your thoughts on frames. You are some creative individuals who knew in inanimate, how do you say that? Inanimate? Whatever objects could teach us some things about life. I especially liked the message Devin from Colorado left. He said frames can be broken and rebuilt. His family kept an old photo in a cracked frame for years. One day they replaced it with a new frame and the picture suddenly came alive again. Sometimes an old frame doesn't serve anymore. Leaders must be willing to challenge assumptions and reconstruct new ways of seeing the world. With the simple switch out of an old frame, voila! Something modern and relevant is displayed. So my friends, where in your life is it time for an upgrade? Nothing huge. I mean I'm from Colorado and I've been looking at my winter clothes from last year. Yeah, I'm definitely gonna need to upgrade some clothes. Some of them are falling apart and I hate to admit, some of them just don't fit me anymore. Maybe it's an upgrade of your routine for you. Exercise changeup. Read a different type of book or listen to a podcast that is out of your normal repertoire. Maybe a new morning routine or just drive home a different way. And who knows, you might discover something that suits you well. We can get stuck in old thinking, old ways of leading, old habits. Maybe, just maybe, by reframing something in our life, a newness will be found. That, my friend, is how a common, everyday object can instigate growth. I'd like to hear some more of your observations. What growth lessons can you apply to frames? For those of you calling the Growth Instigators Hotline, I'd love to hear your thoughts after the beep. For those of you listening in on a podcast, visit growth instigators.com and send me your thoughts. Let's never see frames the same.
