That's what happens when direction, discipline, and decision aren't just concepts, they're woven into how the business operates. When direction is clear, people stop guessing and start executing. When discipline is practice, the chaos that used to require your constant present quietly disappears. And when decisions are healthy, the company doesn't need you to be the answer to everything. It doesn't mean there are no challenges. It means the challenges don't break you. It doesn't mean everything runs itself. It means the things that matter most are protected by design, not by your daily heroics of stepping in and saving the day. And when it does, everyone wins. So here's three questions to sit with today. One, what part of your business already behaves the way you designed it to, and what made that possible? Number two, if you stepped away for two weeks, what would prove you built something that works without you? Would that prove that? And number three, what's one area where you're still the answer to everything? And what would need to change for that area to behave on its own?
