Phoebe shares insight into her specialist legal work supporting individuals and families impacted by asbestos exposure. As part of her commitment to patient advocacy, Hugh James generously provides Phoebe with one day each month to run the East of England Asbestos Patient Support Group — a dedicated space offering guidance, community, and practical support.
The conversation explores the wide range of illnesses linked to asbestos exposure, including mesothelioma, asbestosis, and other related respiratory conditions. Phoebe discusses the challenges patients and families often face following diagnosis, the importance of early support, and how access to accurate information can make a significant difference during an incredibly difficult time.
East of England Asbestos Patient Support Group
The group meets monthly and welcomes anyone affected by asbestos-related illness, including patients, carers, and family members.
