Indian Wells Preview — What to Watch in Tennis Paradise
The tennis world heads to the California desert for the BNP Paribas Open, one of the biggest and most prestigious tournaments outside of the Grand Slams. Often called “Tennis Paradise,” Indian Wells delivers massive crowds, dramatic conditions, and two weeks of high-level tennis as the first half of the Sunshine Double begins.

All eyes will be on Carlos Alcaraz, who arrives in strong form and has historically played some of his best tennis in the desert. His explosive game and ability to thrive in slower conditions make him one of the clear favorites.
But the competition is stacked. Jannik Sinner continues to build momentum as one of the most dangerous players on tour, while Novak Djokovic remains a constant threat with his unmatched experience and ability to peak in big events.
