The drama in Tennis Paradise continues as the Round of 16 takes center stage at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells. In this episode, we break down the biggest storylines from the tournament as the field narrows and the pressure ramps up in the California desert.

One of the biggest shocks of the tournament comes with the stunning upset of Novak Djokovic, who fell in a dramatic three-set battle to Jack Draper 4–6, 6–4, 7–6, sending shockwaves through the draw and opening the door for new contenders to make a deep run.

Elsewhere in the men’s draw, Carlos Alcaraz continued his strong run, defeating Casper Ruud to move into the quarterfinals, while Daniil Medvedev also advanced with a solid win over Alex Michelsen

On the women’s side, world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka powered past Naomi Osaka in straight sets to reach the quarterfinals, while Iga Świątek delivered one of the most dominant performances of the round, cruising past Karolína Muchová

Meanwhile, Jessica Pegula kept American hopes alive with a strong win over Belinda Bencic, setting up a quarterfinal clash with Elena Rybakina as the tournament heads toward its final stages.

With the quarterfinals now set and major names still battling for the title, the race for the Indian Wells crown is heating up — and as always in Tennis Paradise, anything can happen.

Hello everyone and welcome back to another episode of Off the Court. Today we are talking all things fourth round and a little bit of quarterfinals action preview. So if you guys want to grab your updates, then get cozy with whatever it is that you need to listen to this little update. And we're gonna start with introducing today's sponsor for our episode. Of course, it is Air Allo. If you guys don't know what Air Allo is, it is basically a sim data pack for your phone that allows you to connect, use data, use your phone in whatever country that you're in. You can select from over 200 countries, which is by far amazing. Um, and all you have to do is download the Air Allo app. It is all a sim. Uh, you can download it when you're at the location, at the country, or pre like in advance, um, and it's definitely well worth it. So head to the description to find out more about Airello and to get a cheeky little discount off your first sim pack. I use it, I have friends that love and use it, I know plenty of athletes that use it as well, and it is just amazing. So definitely go and check it out. Alright, we are gonna get into some recap action. Uh today we had the round of 16, otherwise known as the fourth round. Uh, we had Iga Swantec take out Caroline Muchova, we had Jessica Pagula take out Belinda Bensik, we'd had Daniel Medvedev take out Alex Michelson, so that's the last of the American men. Um, I believe we will just confirm that in just a little bit. Um, we had Casper Rood uh taken out by Alcaraz 6-1-7-6. Elena Spidolina winning the first set against Sinecova 6-1 before Sinekova retired in the third game of the second set. Elena Rabakina getting through 6-4-4-3 with an early retirement from Kartel. We also had Rindakesh and Vacharot over Hashnikov and Rublev in the men's doubles, and Irani and Paulini going through as well in their quarterfinals doubles matches. Um, Mira Andreva and Victoria Mabuku falling in their women's doubles match. Um, and we also had Cameron Nuri making it to the quarterfinals for uh a record-breaking time here at Indian Wells. So he took out the Australian wild card Hitchikata 6-4-6-2. Uh, so definitely one for the books. We also had um Jack Draper, unfortunately. 3.34 minutes, a big match, a lot of amazing points won in that match. Definitely go and watch the match highlights if you want to see. Well, one of the most amazing points that I have personally seen. And there's been a lot, so that is saying something. But yeah, Djokovic won the first set 6-4, and then Draper was able to get over him 6-4-7-6. Uh, so that wraps up the results from the day. We're gonna look ahead to Thursday, March 12th. Uh, starting with women's singles quarterfinals action. We have Irina Sabalenka taking on Victoria Maboko. Obviously, the Canadian is in strong force. She is definitely making a name for herself on the tour, ranked inside the top 10, and definitely just moving through her opponents. Um, and of course, Irina Sabalenka riding a high uh in her personal life and definitely not showing many faults on court as well. So that'll be an interesting matchup. Um, to follow that match, there will be Lerner Tien taking on Yannick Sinna. Uh Lerner Tian definitely um so yes, there you go. There is another American male in the draw. Uh Lerner Tien making it through uh his last match to set up a quarterfinal clash with Yannick Sinna. That'll be a very interesting one. Um and yeah, not before five o'clock, we have Women's Singles quarterfinals, Jessica Pogula taking on Elena Robakina. They have played quite a few times of recent, uh, two of which I was at. Um, so it's very interesting. We'll see how that one plays out as well. Um, over on Stadium 2, we have Arthur Phils taking on Alexander Zwarev, the young Frenchman um taking on one of my favourites, but also arguably, in my opinion, the best player that hasn't won a Grand Slam yet on the men's side. Um, followed by Noskova and the Australian wildcard Talia Gibson, um, which is very nice to see that she's there. Uh, not before 2.30 on that same court, we have Elena Svitolina who is having a stellar year. She has won the most matches um on the WTA tour so far this year. Taking on Igo Svantek, so that'll be an interesting one. And then to follow that to end the day schedule on Stadium 2, we have Jack Draper coming off his win against Novak Djokovic taking on the recent Dubai champ uh Daniel Medvedev. So that'll be a very interesting one. Sinekova, Irani Palini taking on each other in the women's doubles semi-final. Several other great matches happening as well as we get to the tail end um on stadium four. You can see some mixed doubles quarterfinals action with uh Maria Sakari and Stefano Sister Pass, um, as well as just after that match, uh Flavio Caboli and Linda Ben Six. So definitely a lot of really great matches to follow up with. I would not rest on it. There is still some amazing matches to come. Who's gonna win on the women's side? I'm still gonna go with Sabalenka. Um, although Svidlina is definitely definitely nearing a title, like I can feel it in the energy, so I wouldn't put it past her to probably make it to uh at least the semifinals. So we will see. And on the men's side, uh, I'm gonna go with surprisingly, Lerna Tian. Um, he has definitely just kind of ran through the mix, and yeah, it's definitely surprised a lot of people. Although we still have some big players in the drawer, we've still got Alcaraz, we've still got Zinna, we've still got Medvedev and Draper. Uh, not to mention that, yes, Carlos Alcaraz will also take on Cameron Nuri tomorrow night after the Pagula Rabakna match as well. So definitely make sure you are tuning in. Keep in mind they are Masters 1000s events. We are getting closer and closer to the end of the tournament, finishing up on Sunday local time before heading to Miami the following week for the Miami Open. Definitely enjoy the last couple of days of Indian Wells. We will be back with an update uh for the semi-finals, and we will definitely be talking a little bit more as we head into the finals. So don't go anywhere, coming up with some more content very very soon. And make sure to check out Air Allo in the description below to hear all of the latest updates from them. Bye guys!
