SPEAKER_01Hello everyone and welcome back to Off the Court. We are back with a recap of day three for Roland Garrus and a little look ahead at what to expect for day four. Yes, day four. I can't believe we're already heading into day four of the tournament. It seems kind of crazy. It feels like it literally just started, but in some ways it did, but other than that, it has been going for, in fact, three days now. Um, so we are going to start with some updates from the men's matches yesterday, um, or today rather, but uh so let's get into it. The first match that we're gonna talk about is um the walkover, uh Stefanos Sister Pass and Muela, 6-2-3 love. Um, Sister Pass obviously holding the form in the first set, injury overtaking Mueller, a little bit of heat exhaustion, um, and yeah, able to have Sister Pass move through, which is a pretty good appearance for him, I would say, in a while. Um, he hasn't had the best results as of lately, so it's nice to see him move over. And I want to talk about the amount of walkovers that we had yesterday. There were three of them. Um, Cameron Newry having to pull out due to an injury. Um, so Valejo moving forward and Sebastian Bears pulling out as well. Baranjka moving forward as well. That was deep in the fourth set. Oh, deep, that was in the fourth set after they had already played three. Um, yeah, so very interesting. Um, the only matches that did get completed yesterday on the men's side was Diaz over Zhang in three, Riva over Mortet, and Lorena Tian over Garen. Um there was also um Leonard Struff over Bublik and Shapovelov over Faria. Um, so definitely some interesting moments as we sort of look forward with the amount of walkovers, the amount of injuries. The heat is obviously causing quite a stir at the moment. Um, it is definitely pretty warm out there. Um, it's not for the faint-hearted, that's for sure. And yeah, it's causing a bit of a bit of strife. Um, so very interesting to see. Um, of course, smooth progress from Yannick Sinna as well. Um, definitely like no no real issues there from from from anyone really, other than those matches that we just talked about. So heading into it, uh taking a look at today's matches. We've got Cinna and Dijong. Again, C-I-N-A, not to be confused with Yannick Sinna, Rublev taking on Ugo, um, Devidic Fok Davidich Fokina taking on Tarante, Karen Kashnikov taking on Trigajeli. Um, we've also got Sasha Zverev back in action taking on Thomas Maschau. Um and Tabilo taking on Vacharot, um, all of those matches to TBD. So, yeah, Sasha Zverev back in action today as well. I think we have, let's just double check as well, because the the scheduling can change. So, we're just gonna have a look at the correct order of play. So, yeah, first up on Court Philippe Chatiers, so obviously center court, we've got Igor Swantec taking on Bajek. Um, but in the men's department, we've got yeah, Novak Djokovic taking on Roya a little later in the afternoon, and then the night session, so not before 8.15, is Sasha Zwerev and Thomas Michel. Um on the court Susan Lengen, we're starting off with Kashnikov, which we talked about before. Kaspar Rude is taking on Medijovic. Um, we've also got Jacques Fonseca playing his second round match, he'll take on Prismic. Um, Tommy Paul playing his second round match, taking on Lorenzo Sinego, so that'll be an interesting one. James Duckworth, the Australian, taking on Jadar. Um, all from 11am those session times as well. Um, Jakob Menzik taking on Navone and Cinna vs. Dejong, like we mentioned before. Um, the doubles has started. We've also got the uh lovely, wonderful Tanasi Kokanakis taking on Karenabuster as well out on court 9 in the afternoon. Um, we've got a lot of men's doubles, a lot of women's doubles in action today. Make sure you check it out. There's also Borges and Keshvanovic outside as well on court 12 later in the day. Um, and yeah, so a lot of fun men's singles action, um, a lot of good results too popping through. So let's take a look at the women's side as well. Um, of course, we had Arina Sabalenka making her first round match through. Uh, pretty easy match for her, to be honest. Um, we also had Naomi Yasaka making her way through as well. If you caught a glimpse of her outfit, you may or may not be surprised or happy. Depends. Um, and just quickly too, obviously Maren Chilich getting taken out by Kuame the wild card, who is in fact 17 years old. Um, two hour and 38-minute match, and Walton the Australian taking out number six seed Daniel Medvedev. Um, we also had a very interesting matchup between Coco Goff and Taylor Townsend. I did catch the first set of that. Um, that was a very interesting tossle in the first couple games as they moved their way through it. Kellen Skya making her way through, Parry making her way through. Probably the biggest upset so far in the women's side is Kimberly Beryl, the Australian, taking out the number fifth seed, Jessica Pagula, in three sets after Jess won the first set. Madison Keyes moving through as well. Um, and then of course, yeah, Yannick Sinna moving through as well. So definitely either Jovik moving through over Ayali, um Alnadi over Greekspo, Dideri over Offner, and Maboko over Bartakova, Vekik over Tobello, Maria Sakri over Noskova, and Sharif over Galfi, and Oli Yankova against Pritokova, the qualifier. So very interesting matchup for some results there. Uh heading into day four on the women's draw, we've got um McNally taking on Bensick. That'll be first up on court, Simone Matthew. Um, also on that court today will be Mira Andreva a little later in the afternoon. The last match up on that court for the day. Basolis Rivera, she will take on. Um, we have two. So starting the day on court Susan Langan with Kashnikov, ending it with Kasparud, but in between we've got Elena Robokina taking on Stravestiva and Jasmine Paulini taking on Sidiera. Um on the women's side, we've got um on Court Philippe Chartier, we have Igor Svuiante taking on Beshik, as we said before, the lovely Elena Svidolina taking on the Spanish wildcard in Cododova. And we also have Mata Kostiak, the number 15th seed taking on Katie Volnatz, Yelena Ostepenko, the 29th seed taking on Lynette. Um, and then we've got, let's take a look. Haley Baptist taking on Wang and Eva Lee's taking on Sostia out on court six in the afternoon after the Navone and Menzik match. Um, definitely a lot to look forward to for your day four. Can't believe we're into day four. Let us know in the comments on social media and in our posts who you guys have predicted who will make it to the second week. Um, yes, we're having those conversations already. We're already four days into the tournament. We're already starting the second round, which is insane. Um, but it's also really fun to know that we are moving through the tournament um and to see who's gonna see who's gonna win, see who's gonna, you know, get a get to the next sort of spot. Um and I believe Alex Diminor has had a walkov as well. Let's just confirm that. Yes, so Alex Dimor has automatically advanced to the third round um because his second round opponent has pulled out. So, as you guys know, when you're already into the rounds, you can't bring in a lucky loser like you could with the Stanislas and Warinka and Arthur Fields match to bring in the lucky loser in Dijong for that. You can't do that when you're already past the first round. So he, Alex Dimenard, the Aussie, will get a nice little ride to the third round. Uh, his opponent, we shall wait to see. Um, very interesting. I also want to talk about the fact um we didn't talk about this yesterday, but there is quite a few people missing from this year's lineup at Roland Gareth. Mussetti is not playing, Holgaruna is not playing, obviously, um Carlos Alcaraz is not playing. There is quite a few, so definitely, like I said yesterday, it is the time for maybe some new new faces, new opportunities to pop through. Um, so definitely keep your eyes peeled because there will be some amazing things happening. Um, obviously, Kwayame is the youngest Roland Garris winner since 1991. Um, and Osha Aliasim has survived a massive scare to move on forward. So definitely um, yeah, definitely a very interesting shape up. Let's see how things go.
