Hello everyone, and welcome back to another episode of Off the Court. We are back with a very quick update for you guys to give you guys the latest recap from Rolling Gareth. We are going to be discussing some second round matches, of course, on both the men's and women's side. There's been upsets, there has been all kinds of things go on. There's been walkovers, there's been retirements, all kinds of things. So we are going to get straight into it today. We are going to start on the men's side as per usual. We had Karen Kashnikov take out Trigoletti in four sets. 3045 minutes, so pretty long match. Definitely wasn't a quick one by any means. We had Rublev take out Karabelli as well in four sets. We had Hales take out fellow countryman Umber, so number 32 seed gone. We also saw Novak Djokovic take out Roya. Great match. Was able to see a bit of that. 6-3-6-2, 7-6-6-3 for Novak. Looking like he is in good form yet again. A very comfortable straight set win for Sasha Zvorev over Thomas Michal. And a very comfortable two-hour three-set win as well for Caspar Rood. So a little different to his last match, which I'm sure he was happy about. Also on the win, Jalfonseca having a five-set epic battle over Prismic, and Devidic Forkina dropping to Tarante as well in 2054 minutes in a four-set thriller. That one was a little bit more, a little bit more on the drama spectacle as well. We also saw Tommy Paul take out Lorenzo Sinego in straight sets, two hours and eight minutes. Tommy looking routine and good as he heads into the third round. I will say that outfit is fire. Both versions of it. And we'll do a whole kit recap later. Later, towards the end of the tournament, because we want to see everybody's kits and how they, you know, how they style them, how things are. We're going to talk about Sabalanka's diamonds, we're going to talk about everything. So we'll talk about that a little bit later. But for now, I would say top picks would be Tommy and Svitolina. I loved her outfit yesterday. Um, so the Aussie James Duckworth also falling as well. Um, along with Dijong. So the Lucky Loser is getting a pretty nice uh nice moment, I suppose. It's his moment. Um he is gonna be through to the third round of Roland Garris um after a one hour and 48 minute win over Cinner. Again, C-I-N-A, not to be confused with Yannick. Um Jacob Mensic also four hours and 41 minutes against Navone. Uh very long battle for him, um, making it through as well. And we also had Carolina Mushova as well. Um, a walkov from Hailey Baptiste, which is unfortunate. Um she was not able to continue um as well. Um, and this is, I'm sort of reading it, and I'm not saying it men's and women's, but I'm reading it as the way that it is on the sheet here. Um, and Tanasi Kokonakis unfortunately wasn't able to continue with his match either, handing the win to Karenobuster, which is disappointing. Um, obviously Yannick had um Yannick Tanasi had such a wonderful first-round match, um, and it would have been nice to see him go a little bit further. Unfortunately, not to be. Um, Borges also taking out um Kashmanovic as well. And Talshman taking out French on the women's side. Park's gone on the women's side as well. Um, Eva Lee's getting taken out on the women's side too by Susta. Um, but let's take a look at some of the upsets because there was definitely a few. Um, of course, world number, I'm sorry, world number seeded 29th here. Yelena Ostepenko has dropped her second round match um to Lynette, so she is no longer in the tournament. Um, Mada Kostiak making it through after dropping the first set. Um Torpash taking out 32 seed Wang, Mira Andreva making it through as well in an hour and 51 minutes after dropping the first set. Um Jasmine Paulini, number 13 seed, has also dropped 2C era as well. Um Elena Svidalina making it through 6 Love 64. Pretty routine from Elena Svidalina. Nothing out of the ordinary, she seems right on track uh to where she is going as well. Um the biggest upset, probably in the women's draw of the moment is the number two seed Elena Rabakena going down to Stratostiva. Did not see that one coming. Um, Belinda Bensik, she took out uh Magnally, and Ica Sfiante taking out Bejlick. So definitely quite a few upsets there as well. Um, as we head into day five, we are looking at the top matches, the match to watch on the women's side, Donna Vekic and Naomi Asaka. Um, would say would probably be the one of the biggest ones, if not the biggest one for the day. Um, another one to watch is Rinikesh and Beratini. That is the men's match coming up on centre court this evening at 8 15 pm. Um before that, though, you'll see Arena Sabalenka in action against Frenchman Jacques Mont, Perry against Lee, and GM Serendulo against Yannick Sinna. So starting off the day session with Yannick Sinna, the number one seed, and the current world number one on court Philippe Chartier. So over on court Susan Lengan, we've got the first up, we've got the 17-year-old French breakout star, Kwayame, um, taking on Valegeo. We have then Amanda Anna Samova taking on Griber, followed by her fellow countrywoman, Coco Goff, taking on Sharif. And then ending the day with a Shelton Collingong match as well. Um, over on court Simone Machau, obviously the match to watch for the day on the women's side, Donovekic and Naomi Asaka. Uh, F. Serendulo is gonna take on Gaston. Um Ojer Aliasim will take on Are Burchaga. That'll be an interesting one, not before 4 p.m. on that court. Uh, followed by a women's singles match, Victoria Maboko taking on Sinekova. Then we jump to court 14 where we've got Iva Jovic taking on her fellow countrywoman, Emma Navarro, followed by Ooh, this is a good matchup. Frances Tiafo and Hubi Hercaraz. I would say that's definitely one to watch for the day on the men's side of things. Um, followed by, it's an all it's an all-American affair out on court 14 today. Um, Madison Keys will also take on Rusik and then Al Nardi and Sister Pass will join up later to take on each other in the final match of the day on court 14. Also, one to watch as well. A lot of great uh second round matches as well. Like this draw, the way it's been done the same as always, but the way that it's played out is very interesting. Um, Caboli and Wu on court seven, Schneider and Kesla, followed by Sakari and Lou. Vanash and Brandon Nikoshima will finish up on that court as well. Um, court six, we've got Lernatian taking on Diaz Acosta first up, and then we have Kalanskaya and Kuniva um with Komasana and Daderi to follow, um, with a final match on that court for the day being uh Potopova and Katie Balter. Definitely one to watch as well. Plenty of doubles action around the court. Um, also on court nine, we have Kapriva and Lodolce not before 12 o'clock. Um, and Kimberly Beryl will take on Olenyenkova on court 10. Go the Aussie. Um, and we also have some men's matches on court 12 as well. Um, court 12 and court 13. There's quite a few going on. So court 12, we've got Jean Leonard Struff taking on Faria, then we have a women's second round Elise Meertons taking on Swanska, then uh Australia's Daria Kazakina taking on Ben Techy. Um, and then we also have on court 13 Alex Walton. Obviously, he took out a big gun the other night in Daniel Medvedev, taking on um Jvada, then Azorio and Punitsva with Valentin Vacharot uh taking on Tobillo. Let me just check on that though because I think we may have okay no, so here's we're drawn from the doubles. So I just wanted to make that clear before I continue with that. Of course, we have a lot to see. There is a lot of great matches on today. We've given you our top options. Make sure you are checking out and watching the outfits as well. Who knows what Naomi Asaka is going to bring to us today, but I am definitely excited to see. Um, and we will definitely see what happens as the next few days roll on. We are sort of getting, we are day five now, so we are a little bit deeper into the tournament. Um, definitely more things happening, more upsets. There's been a lot of conversation around the heat and whether or not the matches should be pushed back to later in the afternoon. Sound off in the comments, give us give us your opinion, guys. We want to know what you guys think. Um, and that is obviously in our social media comments. Um, so definitely go check it out.
