God has been longing for a relationship with you for a long time. He has been waiting for you to see and understand that.
Welcome to Walking in the Living Word Ministries, a weekly podcast with your host, Pastor Mike Futrol.
SPEAKER_01Thank you for joining us this week, Walking in the Living Word Ministries. We're on week 12 of our journey to freedom, defeating Satan, and this world. And our song this week is My God Can by Katie Nicole. At the end of the video, we will post the links and where you can get it and listen to it and maybe even purchase it and we'll add it to your library. You know, I chose this song, My God Can, uh, because I felt that the words are helping me to truly understand that God is in control. My hope is by the time you finish hearing this message and listening to the song, you will feel the same way. Here's just the first part of the song, My God can by Katie Nicole. I know someone who knows what I'm up against. I know someone who's here in the midst of it, fighting for me in a battle I could never win. All on my own, I may not be able to part the waters, might not be able to calm the storms, might not be able to make the giants fall, but good thing I'm not alone. Because there is a power that is greater. So I'm not afraid of what's ahead. I'm standing in the confidence that even though I can, my God can. You know, over the past year has truly been an eye-opener for me. I have finally started to believe what I've known as the truth all along. With my life up to this point, I was choosing to believe the lives of Satan a lot of times, the world and even myself. So here we are on a week 12 of our journey to freedom. The phrase, my God can do anything for you, has always reflected a deep belief in God's omniptus and ability to overcome challenges. He's always there. Here is where the human side of you will kick in, allowing Satan, the world, and yourself to stay and repeat the lies. Can God really take care of this problem? Can God really change me and how I feel? Maybe for years you've acted like a fish out of water at times and just laid there and flat, not going anywhere and believing you were a goner. In order to believe God is capable of doing anything because he's all powerful and limitless, you have to truly believe it and have a relationship with him. God has been longing for a relationship with you for a long time. He has been waiting for you to see and understand that. The Bible emphasizes that nothing is too hard for God. As seen in verses like Genesis 18, 14. Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will return to you at the appointed time next year, and Sarah will have a son. In Jeremiah 32, 17, Ah, Soviet Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you. Which state that God can do anything more abundantly if we just ask him. The scriptures prove it time and time again. If we truly believe who God is, there's nothing that he cannot do. Additionally, Philippians 14, 13, I can do all things through him who gives me the strength. You know, this reassures believers that they can do all things through Christ because he's the one that strengthens them, highlighting the strength and power availability to those who really trust in him. Ultimately, God's ability to do anything is rooted in his infinite wisdom, love, and mercy, which provide hope and encouragement in our lives. When you start reading and really believing the scriptures that said God is able to do anything, it will open the floodgates of comfort and truth for you and for all Christians. The scriptures affirm God's limitless power and ability in your life, and He can do the same in others. When you face challenges, your doubts, your fears, it's easy to feel overwhelmed or powerless. However, the Bible constantly reminds you that God is not constrained by human limitations. He can transform the impossible into the possible. And through faith, we can trust his ability to work wonders, bring healing, and create changes beyond our imagination. You know, as we reflect on God's marvelous power, we can look at creation itself as the ultimate testimony. God spoke the universe into existence from nothing. That's a remarkable display of his ability. On a clear night, look at the stars in the sky. Jen Zorn records that God made all of them. Imagine the power in just one star. This understanding will uh put us in our trust in God's uh power over the worldly struggles that we may face. If we truly believe what scripture says, we know God is not powerless, He can overcome anything. But it's not just about raw power, though. There's intelligence and design packed in our universe down to the smallest DA, DNA, a strand, and down to the smallest sub-atom particle. God's power and wisdom are beyond our comprehension. When we read the Bible verses for focusing on God's creation, we're reminded that if we can, if he can create the cosmos, how much more can he handle in the challenges in our lives? You know, folks, that's what we need to be aware of. God created everything. And if he created everything, there's nothing in our lives that he can't handle. Just as we read through the scripture of God's word, I want to challenge each person who hears this to open their heart to the incredible truth of God's capacity to do anything and everything, be in a mode of meditation as we explore God's word and how he can change anything in our lives. When we think about the hardships and illnesses faced by people throughout the world, we cling to the powerful truth that God is capable of healing. Our faith is in his healing ability, brings hope, and restores not just physically, but also spiritually and emotionally. By relying on God's power to heal, we can experience his unwavering love and compassion, and we can reflect that love to others. Another area of life that we have to give to God completely is God's provision in our lives. We all have different needs, whether they are material, emotional, or spiritual, and sometimes we may feel our needs is more important when it's really not. As we're navigating through life, despite how brief uh our circumstance may be and may seem at times, we must remember that God is aware of our situations and promises to provide for those abundantly. We must trust that he will supply what we need, not what we want, but what we need. Trusting in God's provision cultivates a sense of peace, knowing that he's watching over us and everything mapped out for our good. Another significant aspect of God's almighty power is his capability to save. The central message of the gospel revolves around salvation through Jesus Christ. This incredible gift is available to everyone, regardless of their past or their present circumstances or choices. God's ability to save is a powerful reminder of his grace, his mercy, his love for all humanity. Our belief is that fact, our belief in this fact enables us to share that good news with others. Encourage them to reach out for his saving grace. Trusting in God's ability to save helps us to live with joy and hope, knowing the freedom we have in Christ. God not only has the ability to perform great wonders when we have that close relationship with him, he also has the capability to guide us through the maze of life. We need to seek his direction on all aspects of life. We need to seek his guidance through prayer, scripture, or the counsel of wise friends. And recognizing God's ability to guide us, we open ourselves to his wisdom and his enlightenment. Relying on his guidance allows us to walk confidently down the paths he has paved for us, knowing that we are led by the one who knows all. One of the most profound aspects of God's ability is his power to change human hearts. Many times we have experienced moments of transformation, whether it be in our life or in the lives of others. God's Spirit works within each of us, leading us towards repentance, understanding, and love. This ability to change hearts should encourage us to remain hopeful in the face of conflict or hostility, knowing that God can restore relationships and heal brokenness. If we look around as we have through prayer and faith, witnessed incredible transformation, fostering a community rooted in love and compassion. I don't know about you, but in my times of distress, God's ability to comfort me is incredibly profound. Life can be full of anxieties and hardships, and yet through God's presence, I can find peace that surpasses all understandings. The Bible provides all of us with assurance that God is near to the broken heart, offering solitude when we need it most. By turning to Him in our times of struggle, we allow Him to wrap us in His love, His strength, reassuring us that we are never alone. Trusting in God's ability to give comfort uplifts our spirits and allows us to find hope even in the darkest moments of our challenges. His love and mercy are just as great, even to the point of his willingness to send his only begotten son to die on the cross of Calvary, to pay the penalty for a sinful mankind, to pay my penalty, and pay others when we didn't deserve it. He did this so that he, in complete justice, could forgive each of us who will turn away from self-reliance and sin to reliance upon Christ and his finished work. You know, as parents, it would be far worse to see our children endure torment than go through it ourselves. And yet that is just what God the Father did. John 3 16, I God declares uh his great love, for God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but should have eternal life. This love was not just for the good people, there are none, but for us, a forward, sinful, unloving, rebellious people, and yet he chose to shower us with his love when we didn't deserve it. You know, as you finished listening to this message about God being able to do anything, I want to remind each of us of God's tremendous power and capability. From his incredible acts of creation to his smooth, soothing comfort during our struggles. We can find hope, reassurance in God's all-great power. Even verse, each verse in his holy word serves as both a promise and encouragement that together we can lean on his strength, trusting that he will heal, provide, save, and guide us through every circumstance that we may face. We can also have confidence in God's ability to change hearts, perform miracles, and establish his sovereignty over all. I'm praying that your faithful connection, just as my faithful connection is learning to lean on God, it empowers us to embrace life fully and share his joy with others. As we continue to grow in our understanding of God's willingness to love us and his limitless power, let us cultivate a deep, unwelling faith, reflecting his love and grace to those who are around us. We must share the love and grace that he's given us with others. So as we close today, I want to reflect on a couple of things. The phrase, My God can do anything for you, reflects a deep belief in God's great power and faithfulness. Here are four key points to that statement. Biblical assurance. Many scriptures affirm that God can do anything, as seen in verses like Matthew 19, 26. With man, this is impossible. With God, all things are possible. In Philippians 4, 13, I can do all things through him who gives me strength. That will be strength in trials. The Bible encourages believers to trust in God's power to overcome a challenges. As highlighted in Isaiah 40, 29, he gives strength to the weary and increase the power of the weak. There's encouragement in difficult times. God's ability to do anything is a source of hope and strength, especially during difficult times, as mentioned in Psalms 27:10. When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take care of me. There's faith and trust. Ultimately, trusting in God's power can lead to a deeper understanding of his capabilities and a renewed sense of purpose in life. From God's holy word, our Bible, it teaches us and serves us as a reminder that with faith, nothing is too hard with God. So in our walk of faith, we often find that real strength comes from Christ. He empowers us to do things beyond our natural abilities. When we acknowledge that in His presence, we are no longer alone. We begin to grasp the truth in the Bible verses about being able to do anything. This being recognizing this serves as a powerful influence, encouraging us to push through trials, uh, achieve greatness that seems impossible without him. So as we remember that we have the strength that we draw from Jesus, we find ourselves more confident, ready to face what lies ahead, unwavering and full of courage. So as we journey through this life, fear can often hold us back from achieving things we desire. However, the Bible reassures us that we have what it takes to chase after our dreams and accomplish great things. We learn through Scripture that even when we trust in God, we can approach challenges without fear. When we think about accomplishing great things, it's essential to recognize that God has plans within each of us. The Bible emphasizes that those divine plans are meant to be good and prosperous. As we strive to fulfill our purpose, it's vital to trusting God's guidance and timing. By leaning on His wisdom, we can find clearness and assurance in our actions, making it possible for us to succeed in our endures. This understanding empowers us to step into our God-given potential with excitement and anticipation for what lies ahead. Ultimately, we serve a God who can do extremely abundantly above all that we ask or even think. May we find comfort and encouragement in these truths and let them guide us through life's journey. Just be reminded of the song, My God Can. When you hit one of those brick walls, potholes, or situation in life you just think you don't think you can, remember, My God can. Thank you again for joining us this week with Walking in the Living Word Ministries. We look forward to seeing you next week as we continue our journey in defeating Satan in this world.
