On the Huh
Ian Johnson - Helping Ed Sheeran out, managing Grammy winners (who write for Beyonce) - Joy Division in West Runton ..it's all here
There is so much to say about Ian that I could write a book never mind chat to him.. The national head of Music Industry Partnerships from Access Creative College. A key player in the early development of Ed Sheeran, Lets Eat Grandma and others.
Ian runs his own artist management company called Magikal Management. His roster includes Grammy winning writer/producer Harry Edwards ( who has also worked with Beyonce ), Gus Harvey, Oliver Say and hot ticket in town Arthur Black.
We talked about his early life in music, German record companies re-releasing his single 40 years on ... missing Joy Division at West Runton on his birthday, how Ed Sheeran came into his orbit ( Ian wouldn't phone him unfortunately) - what experience can give you, Arthur Black's likely imminent rise and much more... have fun .. let me know on Insta what you think @onthehuhpod
Pop over to the website (www.onthehuh.org) it has lots of links to other bands stuff and venues as well as a link to an ever evolving Spotify playlist of Norwich bands material compiled by pod producer Reuben Andrews called La musique de Norwich.
