This weeks episode sees me sitting down for a conversation with the fantastic Alexander Carson.
Based in Norwich and working between Norwich and London , Alexander Carson is a non-binary singer-songwriter and composer whose music blends classical discipline with modern lyrical introspection. Classically trained from the age of four, Carson's sound has been described as somewhere between Chopin & Rufus Wainwright, pairing intricate piano work with a distinctive, fragile vocal timbre.
Their writing balances existential weight with surrealist wit, inspired by what they describe as "the mundanity of modernity" and an urge to articulate the absurdity of human existence without ever becoming self-serious.
