Well I'm back.
SPEAKER_01Mondays with that. After a long and awkward hiatus. We're back live here on a Wednesday. Beautiful hot Ohio felt inspired to sing.
SPEAKER_02Summertime and living is easy. Fish are jumping. And the cotton is high. So hush, little baby. One of these mornings. You're gonna rise up. Then you spread. There's nothing that can fish jump in. Your daddy's rich. And your mom search away. Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_01That's uh summertime. A lot of people sing that song. That's a slow jazz version. We love it. We love it. We love it. We do enjoy it. Ah, welcome back to another episode of Mondays with Adam. I hope that you missed me. I sure as heck missed you. Woke up crying sometimes just because I longed to be in your presence, and now here we are together once again. Hope things are well for you, that things are going well for me. As far as I can tell. If I don't know about it, you know, then I can't be mad about it, I guess. But things are good. Uh we got motorcycles driving by, we got electric bikes out here flying by. We got people walking around walking their dogs, sweating their butts off, if you will. Been hot in Ohio, it's uh I mean it's summertime, but we expect it, we're not complaining about it because what are these mornings? We're gonna wake up and it's gonna be freezing outside, and we're gonna wish that we had the heat on our back again, or whatever that means. Yeah, things are good when I do over the weekend. Had a busy minute. It's been a busy couple months. We'll talk we'll get into it here in a second. And I say we, I mean you and I. Um But this weekend was fun, went out and took my boat out on the Portage Lakes. Got a little cool lake here in Ohio if you're not listening from Ohio. In fact, I got a lot I have a lot of fans in New Zealand for some reason, which is strange, but we have a lake here and we put a boat on it. So we were out on the boat cruising around, just soaking in the sun, got a little sunburnt. But that's okay. That's what happens when you don't put sunscreen on. But I don't like all the chemicals in my body or whatever. Actually, I just forgot to do it. Um that's what actually happened. But it was a great day in the sun. We actually have a golf outing coming up on Monday with uh our charity that we support, Guns Garren. You should check it out right now. Pause this podcast and go to gunsgarren.com and learn all about that wonderful organization. It's a military veterans charity. They support military uh pilots and their families, which is really cool. So we've got a golf outing this coming weekend with uh PGA Tour pro Michael Thompson, who is a supporter of the organization, he's gonna be playing with us, which will just absolutely reveal how horrific I play. You see somebody actually good and you just start to realize how much uh you're not good. But that's okay. I enjoy uh being outside, I enjoy spending time with my brand. I'm trying to get better, but it ain't working out so well. I make improvements, I make a little bit, they say baby steps or whatever. I try, and it just seems to like fall I fall flat on my face or whatever. I'm really not trying to fall flat on my face, but sometimes I do. So that's coming up, that's exciting, something to look forward to. But let's see here. In the last couple of months, I'm trying to think. I've just been busy. I've had some wonderful opportunities and some great connections, and I've just been working my face off. I have been working for the weekend that I'm not even really taking off that much. Just a lot of great projects, a lot of good progress, some exciting stuff. My new book came out, Simply Visible. Somebody say amen for that. Okay. The children are excited about it. Uh that came out on Amazon. I'm working on the audiobook. When I say I'm working on the audiobook, that means I haven't even started it yet. But I should soon, hopefully. And uh it's great. It's a good book if you're a small business owner or you are trying to do anything where you have an online presence. Uh AI has changed the game. It's rearranged how we get found and hopefully chosen online. So oops, sorry about that. Scared me. Uh appreciate your patience with me as I fumble around here. Uh, it's really exciting that it came out, worked hard on it for like a couple months. Uh so go buy one, you know. I make millions of dollars annually from that book sale. I think I've made 30 bucks. So that's cool. Um, but yeah. It's going great, things are good. I hope you're well. I've got a thought to share with you in a second, but before I do that, we're gonna sing a little bit more. We're gonna sing a little bit more. We're gonna sing a little bit more. I'm trying to figure out what I want to sing. Let's do this one. Well, that started out hot and heavy. We like it though. It's hot outside.
SPEAKER_02Unforgettable. That's what you want. Unforgettable. That's the one unfortunately in every way. And forever. That's how you think you're on their little instrument, right?
SPEAKER_01I think you're unforgettable. I mean, I remember to record a podcast because uh missing. So here we are, waiting for this musical break to get over. This is pretty awkward in this part. I think we have like 10 seconds left. This part's unforgettable.
SPEAKER_02Unforgettable.
SPEAKER_01That's what that was. Okay. There you go. Alright. Uh, I messed up the line on the last part. It's okay. Okay, you go away. Alright, uh, what was my thought? Thanks for dealing with that. Um I was talking to my daughter actually today, and I wanted this is what kind of spurred me to encouraged me to create this little podcast today. I don't even know what episode we're on now. Many, many episodes. If you're bored and have nothing to do, you can scroll back. But we were talking about how short life is and how miserable most people are in their daily activities. They may be happy overall, like they have they love their family, they love their friends, they they got food on their plate or in their to-go box or whatever. They have a bed with a probably that needs replaced pillow. But when they think about tomorrow, they get sad. The whole Monday blues it's um. They're not excited to wake up and go to the thing they gotta spend most of their week doing. And I just think that's so sad. Now, I know circumstances be would they be incorporated. Some people are trying to do something else, and I applaud you. I think everybody should endeavor to stutter. No, they should endeavor to do what's in their heart to do. But you know, life is short and it's so valuable. And I would hate the thought that I had to wake up every day with dread and looking for the weekend, you know. I've been working for the weekend. And then when Sunday afternoon hits, you remember, I gotta go to work tomorrow. So I don't I think it's so important to strive to do the thing that you love to do. So where when you wake up on Monday, you're not dreading getting out of bed, you're excited to get out of bed because of all the opportunity that awaits you. And I feel like when you align yourself with your purpose and you let your skills start flowing, that's when joy really becomes evident on your daily basis. So if you're not doing the thing you love just because you need money, just need a paycheck, I get it. But I think it's time to pursue it. So instead of just spending your free time complaining about having to go back to work, maybe use some of that time to figure out the thing that you can be doing, your passion, your purpose, your calling. That when you wake up on Monday, you're excited about it. Now, if you love what you're doing right now, I applaud you. In fact, I think I have an applause button. This is for you. But if you don't love what you do, start seeking the thing it is that you love. You may not know right now, man. Like, I have no idea. But pursue it. Start asking questions. Start digging in your heart, do a little bit of that soul searching, and I think that you'll figure out exactly the thing that you need to pursue, and you're like, well, how do I make money doing it? How am I gonna survive? I think when you pursue your passion, pursue your calling, that the money follows you. But you don't follow it. Jesus talked about it like this. He said, seek first the kingdom, the kingdom of God and righteousness. And then the stuff that you desire, the stuff that you need, food, clothing, water, shelter, all that stuff, money, it'll follow you. And so I encourage you, whatever it may be, do the thing you love. So when you wake up on Monday, you got a smile on your face, you're not a big disgrace and you're not getting kicked around all over the place. Somebody say amen to that. Well, it's a short episode just because I got some more stuff to do, but uh, wanted to pop out here in digital land and say hello. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your week. And I'll try to record again next week. So thank you again for listening to another episode of Mondays Without
