Any time we want to improve our business, it’s better to break things down into a simple format rather than trying to juggle complex aspects. Simplicity is key. In this episode, I’m going through the 3 business levers that are going to grow your business and your income.
You have to prospect for customers; reach out to more people. You can’t do it once and expect permanent results, this needs to be a fundamental part of your business. Make sure it’s sustainable. Either hire someone to do it for you and pay them a commission, or learn advertising that will automate prospecting for you. Note, you have to get really good at advertising for it to be effective.
Charge more for services. This one freaks people out and they think they will be beat out by their competition or lose sales. Look at who you are offering your services to. Ideally, you want to have fewer, higher paying clients as opposed to a bunch of clients who are paying lower stipends. Work with clients who are already successful without you and offer them value.
If you have recurring clients, you’ll make more money in your business. Focus on client experience and ask if they recognize success when they see it. Make sure you define success to them and make sure you report the success to them on regular intervals. Always be solving problems and anticipating new ones.
