Why Spirit Can’t Always See Your Future: Free Will, Destiny, and Saying Yes to Your Path

The weirdest part of doing intuitive work is realizing the “future” doesn’t behave like a fixed calendar. Sometimes it shows up loud and specific. Other times it’s a blank wall and that isn’t a mistake. I’m unpacking what I’ve been seeing across multiple client readings where Spirit makes one thing crystal clear: the more committed you are to a path, the more readable the path becomes. 

We talk about why some people have a wide-open, anything-is-possible forecast because they’ve processed their trauma, done the inner work, and cleared enough karma to genuinely choose. And we get into the ethical side of psychic readings: why Spirit may refuse to hand over a “most likely” outcome when a client is highly persuadable, because it would steer them instead of strengthening their free will. Hello, everyone. Welcome back to the Unity Code podcast. This is a little bit hot off the press today because Spirit has shown up several different ways across my readings ever since I posted the Premonitions Are Bullshit podcast. And as always, you know, that was perfectly aligned, perfectly divine time. I think it was a very important message. And yet, Spirit always comes in after to, I mean, I could say slap on the wrist, but to show me there's a different perspective that needs to be shared with all of you as well. And that was made very, very clear today with several of my clients about premonitions and reading the future with a lot of this work. And I think the visibility of the future is dependent on how solid the path is. So let me talk about that a little bit. Because I've had several different examples of clients recently. And as they've come to me and asked about their potential futures, probably already listening to the podcast episode, it's been really interesting because some of them have been very broad in the energy and some of

them have very been very limited and refined and defined in the energy of what the future looks like. And it really varies depending on the person, depending on how far on or off the path they are and how open they are to receiving the information and allowing it to guide them into the future. And I've I've kind of humbly talked about this. I don't know why I wanted to use the word humbly, talked about this um previously on the why there's different levels of information across readings. And I think there's a few other things that I want to talk about with this. So more recently, I've had two or three clients that have ended up in my lap where their literal entire future is open for them. And so these tend to be the people who have number one, like done the work, processed the trauma, done the inner, maybe gone to therapy, is not somebody who's afraid of personal

development. And so I love when these people find their way to me because it's so, I think, eye-opening for me as well as for them to highlight that all avenues are open for them. And I have to be honest with you, I don't necessarily see them veering off any of the tracks. But when somebody comes to me and they've done the work, they don't have a lot of karma, they don't have a lot of things to clean up, they don't have a lot of personal development that they need to do, like that is the checklist that we come here as souls to figure out. Or what are all these lessons that we want to learn? And if they've learned all the lessons, spirit literally puts everything on their table and they're like, what do you want? We'll support you in whatever you want to do. And that is true with a few of my recent clients, which has been mind-blowing to me. And so, with one of them in particular, they did not give me a future on purpose because they want her to decide what the next step is. And they do not want me to feed in and lead the witness. Is that information accessible on what her most likely future path is? Absolutely yes. But just because I'm not getting it, it doesn't mean that I am deficient in the way that I'm reading the information. It just means that spirit is not willing to share that information for a reason. And so I come in and I like to ask Spirit if I'm not seeing what I typically see, I will ask them why I am not seeing all of these paths forward for this person. And they then inform me it's because I don't want to lead the witness. Spirit does not want me to tell them what their most likely path is because they are somebody that's very easy breezy, very good with the flow. They're very um uh agreeable. It's not the right word, but I think you understand what I'm getting at. They are somebody who is open to any of the different paths. And if I say or spirit says this is the path that I see is the most likely, they're gonna run towards it without a second glance. And so for some people, that future is almost like a black box for me, for my client, because it's really important for them to embrace this idea of free will and embrace this idea that they get to write their destiny and spirit will back whatever their destiny is. And also, I think that this person needs to move down a more spiritual path. But there are times when spirit says you have to opt in. This is not a path for the weak, everybody. This is not a path that spirit puts on you unless you know your soul contract deems it it must be gone down this path. But for anyone that has the free will choice to enter or not enter the spiritual realm, I think spirit generally likes you to actively say yes to that and walk through those gates so that they can help with the journey. And I just find that to be absolutely fascinating. So there's one example of why I couldn't see the future. And then in the other, and by the way, we gosh, we would like even the spiritual prowess of this person, I was able to like know this is this is the weird Nicole being Nicole is like spirit didn't give me the information. I couldn't feel the future vibration of her, but I could tell there is something in me, and I don't know what this is, and I'm gonna have to figure this out. It's like me every day with spirit. I don't know what this is, I'm gonna have to figure this. I have every fucking reading, I have something like that. Um, but there was something in the reading that gave me this feeling of how expansive and how connected to spirit this person was, and yet I was not getting confirmation from spirit on that at all. It was the weirdest, interesting feeling. I loved it. It was so cool. So, my other client, just to keep the volume of examples shorter here, is somebody who has worked very hard at their career, put in a lot of time and effort. I mean, a lot of time and effort has made sure they're part of what they do. They are like built out in their own little niche, their own little corner of that industry. And they've worked really, really hard to rolled up their sleeves quite a bit to do the hard work, to make sure it's getting done, to um surpass the entry level of this work. And at the same time, is somebody that probably is already seen as more of a leader, an innovator in the space that they're in. And so it's really interesting when this person came to me and asked what the blind spots are for them. And it was so such a great, interesting conversation because there were no blind spots. The only, I mean, we talked about some different areas of, you know, opportunities, but I think that when we go through a

When Spirit Keeps The Future Hidden

lot of our path and journey to get to being one of the best, being one of the hardest workers, you know, being in a place where you have wonderful experience. And no matter what you do, no matter what career you do, we have to put in the time, we have to put in the do's, we have to put in the effort, we have to put in the knowledge and expertise and skill set and relationship building, right? And and this person has done it. This person has done it. And so it's so it was so interesting having that conversation with this person because they didn't need to put in the hard work necessarily anymore. They could start scaling, they could start making it more efficient, they could start raising their prices and doing less and still making the same or more amount of money. And it was really interesting because I think not entirely. There's literally exceptions to everything that I say, but I think for the most part, there tends to be a uh a playbook for people to generally be successful in their businesses, for entrepreneurs to have these soul-led businesses. And I think, you know, part of the beginning stages of this work is, you know, doing what feels right for you. You're always gonna look out, you're always gonna, you know, do the comparison with your peers, you're always going to uh see where you are within the industry in terms of offerings or skill set or pricing and an offer, like you're always gonna do that at the very beginning of the journey while you are quote unquote a commodity. You are very similar to the other people in the marketplace, right? But as you start to specialize and niche, and as you start to hone in on the skills, the tools, the methodology that makes you uniquely you, that taps into your highest vibration or the thing that is just like pure to you and no one else can claim it, you start to niche down or you start to again build out your carve, your circle within that industry, and you get to start to price differently and do things a little bit differently, have different service offerings, do things a little bit differently, do things that are more in alignment with your own energy and your own expertise. And so when you get to this point where you are doing really well and aligned, there is not a lot of self-reflection or self-limiting beliefs because you've probably pushed past a lot of them. And that's where my client was is understanding what else can I do can to continue the upward elevation of her business, of where um they're going in the future, maybe additional ideas that they're going. And it was just really cool because I got to have the conversation with them that you get to choose again because you've already put in the work, you've already done the lessons, you've already done this stuff. And and part of the ascending up the vibrational ladder, uh ascending up the expertise, becoming even higher and more niche in the industry, bringing up the pricing to more exclusive levels, or maybe a luxury experience. There are so many different paths for this person that spirit called out, and all of them are paths that are possible. And so it was really cool to be able to kind of take that step back with this person and say, we can talk about what it takes to bring this up, to do this, to, you know, do this new thing that maybe you don't do right now. But here are some of the things that your soul is really aligned to. You know, your soul is really aligned to deep transformations for people. Your soul is really aligned to community. Your soul is really aligned to helping people at like the one-on-one or very small group level. Your soul is really aligned to working with people who have their shit together and they're trying to get there to their next level too. So it was really interesting to be able to take some of the ideas that they had and say, just so you know, spirit will back you up and they will um reprogram. They will, no, it's not reprogram is not the right word. They will allow things to line up in whatever path you end up choosing. And you could see it. And I could see three major paths that this person could take. And spirit would

absolutely help them walk down every single one of those paths. But then we were able to say, so if you were gonna go down this path, that means that this has to change your in your business. That means that you won't be able to do the depth that you want to do with transformational work. That means that you probably need to build a new container because there's gonna be more visibility in the space and you're not gonna have enough time and energy on your calendar to necessarily take everybody on. So you're either going to up your price and do this luxury experience, or you're gonna scale down or sorry, scale up and do a larger container that has less depth to it that captures more people. And so it was really cool to be able to be like, okay, so if that's the path that you want, this is likely what it's going to look like. This is what it's gonna mean for your business, this is what it's gonna mean for you, versus the other path. I was like, I think you could continue forward with what you're doing, keep it simple, and still, you know, create this luxury experience that allows you to take on less clients at more money in the transformation work and then like free yourself up for something else that you want to do. So it's just really cool to be able to showcase how spirit will back this person up no matter what, and also how her business and personal life will reorganize based on the decision that she makes. And so again, the path is wide open. There's no necessarily quote unquote destiny that this person needs to go down. But just like with choosing yes or saying yes to the path of spirit, everyone has to say yes to their path. And if they haven't said yes to their path yet, I think overall we are gonna get less clarity around what the future can look like until the destination has been set or the path has been set. And so I think whether or not someone said says yes is gonna be a really, really big impact on how much depth you're able to get out of the future or trans uh transform, transparency, that's the word I'm thinking of, transparency in the future that's really gonna help you get the right amount of information for your clients. So I'm just gonna say, like, keep an eye on that if you're a practitioner that does this type of work as well, because you might notice that if they haven't said yes to a path yet, you're not gonna get a ton of information. You're gonna get all the breath and all of the options and opportunities, and you can get a feel for what you think might be, you know, the best general path, but you might not get the very specific information that maybe you get in other readings. And so let me flip this over and talk about the other readings that I just had today with an amazing client. Hey, girl, I know. Um, and so this client today, the last time we got together, the last time we had a one-on-one not too long ago. And this, by the way, this is going to show you how much information changes in readings that are close to each other, because in the first reading, we talked all about um her ascended master guides, like we talked all about, you know, her journey, what her next step was. Um, and we talked more about like the divine masculine side of the house, the modalities, a little bit more about her and her soul. And now that she said yes to the path, now that path became very clear in this next session. And it's so interesting because in the first session, we mainly looked current or back. So we either talked about what was going on currently in her life, if I remember correctly, or we looked back into past lives or how past her has set herself up for her set success in this lifetime, how her souls have set her up for success in her lifetime, what the current guides are that's supporting

Saying Yes Makes The Road Visible

her. So we we talked more about the past and the present, and I couldn't see in the future. And she had to remind me of that. I totally forgot. But like I was like, I can't see ahead. It's black, I don't see it. It's not, I can't tell you what it looks like in the future yet. And I can't remember if this was before or after she signed up for something with me. Um but needless to say, this most recent session, she had said yes to her path, right? And she had agreed to um go down essentially the metaphysical path that um that she has been aching for and that is she is destined for. And I don't like to use that word freely or openly, but like this, if you knew, you knew it's it's destiny. There ain't no other choice for this woman. Um she's laughing right now. I know it. And so, um, and so as we were talking about what the path ahead looks like, because she had said yes and because she opted in, I could see all of it. And she like I could see where she's gonna get tripped up in this journey. I could see how she should address it, how she should think of it, how she should reframe her thoughts, her perspective, how the old version of her, these are the things that you're gonna need to watch out for because the old version of success is gonna be very different than the new version of success. How um, how and why, like, she is gonna get triggered from this work and how she needs to really rethink and reframe everything that she um is coming after, like the beliefs or the perspectives that she thinks she knows about this work. And all of this was essentially this foundation in this session to set her up for the maximum amount of success as she starts moving into the program with me. Because as she's moving into the program with me, now she knows so much more about herself, her background, her soul, her past lives, the point of why the fuck she's here in this class with me, right? And also at the same time, giving her like the foundational plan that says, these are the things that you're gonna do before you get to your destination. And it doesn't mean that when you start doing this work, the first thing you offer to clients is gonna be where you stay. It was more about showing her the evolving journey of where things are and why it is so important for her to recognize that all of these steps are coming. And at the end of the day, spirit still led her down this free will choice within the thing that she said yes to and said, whatever you feel like your next thing is, you're gonna know it, you're gonna feel it, it's gonna tug on you. And they were kind of showing her how to follow that feeling of the next step within this, within this yes, and also showing what the evolution of that would look like because eventually she would fall out of love with the thing that she fell in love with to begin with. And that's because she learned her lesson. She went through her path, she learned what she needed to do, and now it was on to the next. And so being able to like give her, God, I wish I had somebody to give me that fucking big picture when I said yes to this. Do you like I can't I wish I wish, I wish, I wish I had somebody that it would have saved me so much frustration, so much heartache, so much spinning, so much big circles. But I don't know, it's probably me. It's probably my lesson that I had to go through so that you all benefited from my swirling. Well, it's probably true. I'm gonna go with yes. Oh, my dead bell is quiet today. It's been loud all day and it hasn't dung once. Pain in my ass. It's charging too. Um and so for this person that said yes, the there the entire path was. Yep. There were even talks of what how to balance her very, very logical analytical brain in this field. And like how that's gonna look as her skill set evolves through these modalities. It was so fucking rad. Every time I get with this woman, it's she's mind-blowing to me. Mind blowing. Um, and I'm able to kind of show her and teach her things that she's gonna expect along the way. She's gonna have to watch my videos like seven times to get to take on all of the channeled messages. I think I get as much out of them as my clients do every single session. That's absolutely true. Um and so because she said, yes, the cloud, the path became very clear. What was once black in the prior reading has now evolved into a very clear path, at least with the major milestones. And now she knows what to expect, how to move forward, how to move forward as fast as possible, and also where she's not going to move forward as fast as possible, and why it's important she slows down. So they're giving her all of the tools, all of the knowledge, all of the initial hesitations, blocks, uh, pauses, frustrations, and perspectives on all of these, so that as she's walking through it, we essentially got rid of any sort of stressors within her nervous system, at least about the initial part of this journey. Dare I say, she is now entering the space probably relatively fearlessly. Knowing because we all need this. This is something I learned in corporate too, everybody. This is no different. Like you need to understand how your role fits into the bigger picture. You need to understand how you as a soul fit into the bigger picture of your family, of your life, right? Of humanity, so that you can really understand and feel more confident and comfortable in why you're here. Because a lot of us that are floundering, a lot of us that are maybe coming into these readings, wanting a little semblance of control, a little understanding of the future, so that we can feel a little bit better about understanding our path and where it's going. They're not going to tell us what we're gonna do unless you've said yes to what you want to do. And so this can be a multi session and iterative process to really understand what are the options, sitting with it, thinking about what feels best, what feels most exciting for me, because all paths are possible. And at the same time, once you do say yes, come back. Come back. Come back. And now let's talk about the next iteration of that path. Right. And as you go forward with that, what will inevitably happen is you start to go down that path and you hit some other shit that you didn't expect or some nervous system thing or some trauma that's holding you back, you know, your own life, your past life, your ancestral lineage. And you start working periodically to clear out the bullshit to make you go down this path as fast as possible. Because what we did is give the really, really big picture. And now we can go deeper into the tactical information that allows her to overcome these micro hurdles, these micro obstacles every step of the way. And so it is like having these sessions, these readings, working with me, working with other metaphysical practitioners, or like having a fucking best friend. There it is. Ernesto finally showed up, having a best friend that can guide you through every single crossroad, every single major decision point, and give you all of the information that you need to make the right decision. But you're the one who has to make the decision, decision, and you're the one who has to do the work to get to the next crossroads. And so that's what the evolution of this work looks like. I don't know why I'm saying that, that's coming out of my mouth. So it's being channeled from spirit. Um, but that's what the evolution of this work looks like. That's why my most successful clients are the ones that work continuously with me. Um, because it's not just about one-time download of massive amounts of information, it's about an iterative process of growth and development. No one goes to one reading and changes their entire lives. Like we can do, we can do that. You might change your perspective in one reading, but then it takes time to integrate. It takes time to prove that you can actually act on the actions or the recommendations or advice that spirit has given you. Like there might be some massive healing that might have happened in that session, but then there's going to be the next thing and then the next thing and then the next thing because Lord knows I have been working on improving myself my entire fucking life, and I sure as hell have a giant mountain of shit left. I know I do. I know I do because every single time I raise my vibration, go to a different level, there's new things that are uncovered or things that were uncovered that go deeper that need additional healing and support and integration. And so just I love, I love, I love, I love, I love this so much because it was such a beautiful reflection to me about the evolution of my clients within these three different sessions that literally occurred over the last like two days that allowed me to really see the patterns of when and how I get way more information from spirit versus when it's a black box and I can't see shit. Mm-hmm. Ding. So what do you think? Is this helpful? I'm sure I know it's helpful. I know those of you that are in the metaphysical practitioners are being like, whoa shit, there's a rhyme to the reason of when I get a lot of information versus when I don't get a lot of information. And it's all based on whether your client has opted in on a path or not. And it's so interesting because if I rewind back before even the opt-in, if I have clients that come to me, and these are fewer and fewer between, I tend to get people that either are at the crossroad and they don't know which way to go, or they're ready for the next level and they don't know how. That tends to be more of my client base, but there will be people that have already set the destination. Let me see if I can hang on. I'm gonna pause this for a second and just make sure there are people that are probably months away from from being able to make that decision. They come in thinking they've made the decision. And I'm like, oh no, sweetheart, we have

a lot of work to do before you can even make enough space in your energy to make that decision. And I don't know how else to explain it besides that, because there's people that I think know where they want to go, but it's because usually when they know where they want to go, it's not actually a free will choice. It is usually based on ego or trauma, or they're choosing their path because we all know them. They're quote unquote gifted or spirit has chosen me, quote unquote. And I say that because I feel like I feel like I was quote unquote chosen. I know I just said that. Can I say that? I'm an asshole. It's okay. Um, I do feel like it because I think it found me and I wasn't necessarily looking for it. But at the end of the day, my soul was the one who made that path and made that choice. So, like I actually chose me. I just woke up to the fact that I had chosen it. There, that made me feel better. Thank you for allowing my ego to go through that for a second. So, but a lot of people are kind of um, or there are some of my clients that are that are kind of walking into this metaphysical space just because a medium told them that you can do this work. And that's not the right reason to start, right? That's not the right reason because everyone can do this work. Everyone can be a psychic or medium. And as soon as there are people that that hear that information, that, oh, I'm a medium, they think, oh shit, there's my entire career path. I'm the next Teresa Caputo, let's fucking go. And number one, like, I love that for you. And I know that some people need to hear that to get started. So there's no judgment with that. But it's really looking at like if you are starting this journey because someone else is telling you to start this journey, or you are hoping for a better band-aid, fast solution for solving all of your life's problems and helping your ego feel better and uh surpassing all of the lessons that you want to get through because that's that's what the spiritual egos do. Um, and we can spot them like a red flag out there on social media, can't we? Most of the fucking medium readers on TikTok let me know how their energy feels. Um,

Spiritual Ego And Integrity Checks

and so if you're starting this but you're not willing to do the work, like spirit is not going to actually let you get very far down the path before you start getting slapped and then slapped and then slapped and then slapped with lessons, with delays, with resistance, just because you got some work to do, honey, before you start down working. You cannot, you cannot heal other people unless you have healed yourself first. And if you're making the decision to avoid the healing, you are not gonna, it's not gonna be an easy path for you. And that by itself should be enough of a message to you to understand that, you know, anything is possible. Absolutely, yes. But you're gonna if you're gonna go down the spiritual path, you have to come with integrity and trust and love and being open and and being able to grow and personally develop like this is just the name of the game, everybody. No one wants to be healed by a broken person. No one. And if you are, how does that feel? I've gotten some reeky by some not so healed practitioners. Don't feel good, everybody. Don't feel good. Feels a little rocky, feels a little wobbly. I don't know. I went down a tangent here. Hope you understand where I'm going with this. Um, and so I guess the I guess if I were to able, if if I were to synthesize this episode, I would say we all have free will to decide whatever path we want. And in fact, the more that you feel off path, anxious, um, neglected, like have a lot of traumas in your life. Like I big proponent of therapy, also big proponent of using spirit as well to supplement. Because I'll tell you what, I've never been healed the way that I've been healed in the spiritual space and I've had therapy. I walked away from therapy because she said I would always feel this way. And I said, bullshit, I will always feel this way. I will fucking prove you wrong. And that's exactly the experience I needed to have with therapy, everybody. And so if you're in these early stages and you just need to get a little support, get a little big picture, like, yes, please, right? Please do that. Please use a metaphysical practitioner. Please get some healing, please get some energy work done. And then as you meet these, after you do these things and you start to realize that this is all the matrix, that the

future is unwritten, that you get to decide whatever you want to do with your life, like please realize that you can get to this crossroads and you can come to a metaphysical practitioner to talk about the different options to move forward, the different paths ahead. What does that feel like? Which one feels like it's the best suited path for your soul based on what your soul is looking to do here? Because your soul doesn't necessarily choose the job most of the time. Your soul tends to choose the vibrations and frequencies and beliefs and values and patterns that you are gonna have in your life. Like I'm always gonna be an anal retentive asshole. Like that's gonna be me. I am always gonna be sarcastic as fuck. I am always gonna be the person that doubts my connection to spirit. It's true. It's who I am. I'm always making them prove it to me. I'm always gonna be the person who questions authority. I have a shirt that says rebel on today. I'm always gonna be the person who challenges the status quo, who does not settle for the easy answer. I'm always gonna be the person that shits on myself because I know I can do better. Right? And I take this all in stride because that's who I am. So I can take all of this information and access this at the soul level, at the incarnation level, and be like, you probably, probably shouldn't be stuck doing a nine to five job, working in a cubicle, listening to what other people say, doing the processes that other people want you to do. Probably not the best energetic match for me, right? Probably not. Probably likewise would not be in my best interest to like be a daycare provider because I have no semblance of deep critical thinking, which I need. I need deep critical thinking. If I'm not going deep, I'm losing my shit. So, like, I know this about me. So this is very similar to what I'm talking about. You can take the different aspects of your soul, the different aspects of your core personality, your core belief in this lifetime, and say, okay, so based on this stuff, it feels like these three paths are probably the best for you. And then once you decide which path you're on, then we can really work to refine, give you the big picture, what does it look like? And then help you as you're executing that big picture, like go in at these little speed bumps and solve those two. There is nothing that can't be guided, that can't be God, given it's like a life hack working with spirit. It is a life fucking hack working with spirit because I get to see and feel the vibrations of all the different paths ahead and choose the best one for me. Choose the highest vibration path for me, choose the most likely path for me, and you can fucking do the same too. It's amazing. It is ridiculous. So there you have it. That is the difference of why you will get different levels of clarity based on the amount of free will and the amount of decisions your clients are getting.
