A Soft Reminder: Embrace Your Control, and Recognize What’s Out of It
In this episode, I dive into a thought-provoking conversation about the things in life that are within our control and those that are out of our control. I start by exploring what’s in our control, focusing on self-care and the importance of rest. Personally, rest is my favorite form of self-care, allowing me to recharge and maintain balance. I also touch on how we manage our energy and what we choose to invest it in, highlighting the significance of being intentional with our focus. I share insights into the power of self-talk and how it shapes our mindset, along with the importance of setting boundaries to protect our well-being. All of these aspects are within our control and influence the quality of our lives.
From there, I shift to discussing the things that fall outside of our control. This includes other people's opinions of us and our choices, things that have happened in the past, and the unpredictable nature of our interactions with others. These are factors we cannot change or control, and learning to release them can bring a sense of peace and freedom.
I wrap up the episode by encouraging listeners to take a moment to reflect on one thing they have control over and remind themselves that they’ve got this. Then, I challenge them to identify one thing outside of their control and consciously let go of it. By focusing on what we can control and releasing what we can’t, we can cultivate a more mindful and empowered approach to life.
