The Sign Whisperer: Crafting Messages That Move Us with Kurt Stoner
In this episode, Kurt and Kirsten uncover how a childhood fascination with a boat-side sign painter blossomed into a thriving visual arts enterprise spanning three decades. Unlike many business leaders, Kurt never planned to build a company—he simply pursued his artistic curiosity, constantly challenging himself with "I bet I could do that." A mindset that permeates his business to this day, allowing the next generation to join Stoner Graphix and build a career.
What makes this discussion particularly compelling is Kurt's refreshing approach to business development and client relations. Rather than chasing every client, he's learned to identify ideal partnerships that align with Stoner Graphix’s creative strengths. His philosophy—"if it conveys a message or evokes a feeling, it's a sign"—has led to extraordinary projects, including the world's largest functioning bobblehead.
