Welcome And Animal Kingdom Lodge

Tyler

Welcome to the Disneyville Podcast, episode 58.

Jessica

Where we talk about the Disney parks, the Disney Cruise, and everything in between, all the magic in between. Um, I really like your shirt, Tyler.

Tyler

Thank you very much. Can you see it? Through the for those watching. I got Simba and Pumba and Timon on my shirt. It's the same shirt I've worn. I'm pretty sure the last like six or seven times we've gone to Animal Kingdom.

Jessica

It's the best shirt.

Tyler

Yeah.

Jessica

Is it Roosevelt?

Tyler

Yeah, it's a Roosevelt shirt. And every I'm like, I I bring it to wear on our Animal Kingdom Day. And I feel like most of the time when we go, we go to Animal Kingdom one time. So it's funny because I'm watching No matter what, it's always I know I'm watching all of our vlogs in quick succession as I'm editing them to put them back over on our on this channel now. And so it's funny because they all every single time we're in Animal Kingdom, I'm wearing this shirt.

Jessica

I love it. It's truly a fantastic shirt.

Tyler

It's great. So now can you tell me why I might be wearing this shirt today?

Jessica

I think you might be wearing that shirt because today we're gonna be chatting about our upcoming trip, our whole trip plan, where we're staying, where we're eating, um, snacks we're hoping to try, just just chatting about Disney. Honestly, where we're staying is related to the shirt that you are wearing right now. And that hotel would be Pop Century!

Tyler

No, Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Jessica

We love Pop Century.

Tyler

Oh, don't get me started on we can talk about pop. We have many times talked about Pop Century. Yeah, it's like we recently said no, but that's why I'm wearing my Animal Kingdom shirt here. So

How The Trip Dates Kept Moving

Tyler

Animal Kingdom Lodge. Now, if you don't know, my lovely wife sitting here next to me broke her foot in December. We have talked about it.

Jessica

December 1st. Ad nauseum at this point now.

Tyler

But this was the trip we had originally planned to take in December. Jessica broke her foot, so we moved it to April for uh like a spring break kind of trip. Well, then one of our all-time favorite Broadway performers, a young man by the name of Mandy Petinkin, Patinkin was coming and we were going to see him in a concert. And we were so excited. So excited. And we had to move our dates again in order to see him at in the concert. Well, then Mr. Petinkin canceled his concert because he got cast as Odin in God of War or something like that. I don't know. My brother knew it.

Jessica

Your brother knew instantly what it was.

Tyler

I think it's based off a video game or something like that. So apparently his concert is not going to be next year. But I'm like, if I don't see him live sing uh finishing the hat, I I will or move on. I I my life will not be complete until I see him do that live. Anyway. Or something from like Secret Garden, like or uh Lily's Hazel Eyes, or that's yeah, that's or uh um Hunter Argentina.

Jessica

I mean Oh my gosh, there's so many. Oh anyway, it's a rich text.

Tyler

He's also just oh anyway, we don't need to, or I just want him to go up and he could just go up and for an hour just say, My name is Nigo Montoya who killed my father, prepared to die. Anyway, that is not the point. My whole point is I tell you that to tell you this. I we have now moved this trip three times. We are not moving it again, we are not moving it again, and we have since we had three different hotels, so we finally landed on Animal Kingdom. We were originally going to stay in uh contemporary, we had a theme park room, then we moved to Caribbean Beach. Um, no, no, no, I'm sorry. Caribbean Beach was our original hotel. Yes, then when we moved, we just happened to get contemporary for almost the exact same price. And then when we moved again, we got Animal Kingdom Lodge for the same price as our original Caribbean Beach.

Jessica

So, like for even cheaper for a deluxe.

Tyler

I think we got Animal Kingdom Lodge. We saved money because of the special offers that were going on. So anyway, so it just all kind of worked out. So we are doing a Savannah View Room, Animal Kingdom Lodge, which we have not done Animal Kingdom Lodge, I think.

Jessica

Pre-kids.

Tyler

Yeah, I think it was 2012, maybe 2011 was the last time we did it. And I cannot wait to do the trip again. We kept talking about how badly we wanted to do this hotel, but we wanted to wait till the girls were a little bit older, where they would really appreciate the animals, where they would really like and the transportation options are not amazing there. So we wanted to make sure that we could bus, bus, and more bus. Yeah, easy, more easily get around than having a big stroller and all that kind of stuff. So yeah.

Jessica

Anyway, we're in a good spot kid-wise right now with like just our travel smaller stroller.

Tyler

Yeah.

Jessica

That's single, just easier to get on and off the bus.

Tyler

So anyway, I'm getting ahead of myself here, but I'm excited about Animal Kingdom Lodge. So I think what we're gonna try and do is just kind of go day by day with our plans. Yeah.

Jessica

Yeah. And then I also want to do a section after that of um snacks and drinks we want to try. I did all the research for this, so Tyler's gonna be surprised by all of these, I think. Um, but they're ones that you guys have recommended in the past that I finally made a list. I watched some videos of like, you know, Disney Food blog, those kinds of places where they're trying absolutely everything. While we're there, it will be flower and garden as well. So some of the ones I mentioned might be flower and garden specific, but I think most of them are just always there. So we'll go through that too.

Tyler

I've loved this third year in a row we've done flower and garden.

Jessica

Isn't that funny how that's worked out?

Tyler

Yeah, because I was just thinking about again, I'm re-watching all these vlogs in 24, 25, and now 26, because I've got footage of the butterfly garden.

Jessica

So I know that's I was gonna say there is something about Flower and Garden Festival that is just so a the weather there is usually not too bad. It's usually kind of perfect. Knock on what it's gonna rain the whole time for there and be cold, but but you know what I mean. Like it generally is uh nice, it's not yet that hot, it's just a good time of year.

Tyler

It is, and just the flowers.

Jessica

It's just so beautiful. So I'm I'm pretty excited about that.

Tyler

Yeah. So starting on our travel

Flying Late And Getting To Resort

Tyler

day.

Jessica

Yes, and well, first of all, you guys already know we're gonna be vlogging the whole thing. My favorite vlog to do is travel day and arrival day, whatever you want to call it. Um, they're my favorite ones to watch, my favorite ones to do because it's all the excitement of like the buildup of the trip.

Tyler

Interesting.

Jessica

Now we've talked about this before, I think, with you guys.

Tyler

Have we? Okay.

Jessica

I don't know.

Tyler

So this is very interesting to me. So I I I'm not the right person to ask because I actually I don't I don't really watch wrong.

Jessica

You're not and in good company, then Tyler James.

Tyler

I know, I know. So here's my question. Every single for for 15 years now, however long we've been doing YouTube, every time we upload a new series of videos, the first video always does much better, like the travel day video always does much better than any of the other videos. And I'm just always curious as to why.

Jessica

I think people watch it and they're like, I don't like these guys. That's always my thought.

Tyler

I'm like, there must be a bunch of people like these guys.

Jessica

I don't like them. I don't know, you never know. Um, but I also think if it's people like planning a trip, it could be that they're genuinely watching to just kind of get an idea of like maybe they're going to the same hotel, and then they're like, all right, I'm good, and they don't they're not into that. I don't know. I don't know.

Tyler

I just I'm always curious.

Jessica

I wonder they are definitely um popular on YouTube in general.

Tyler

But yeah, I also for a long time, because you've always you always say that you like watching the travel day stuff too, and I'm always like, I don't know. I feel like we always like I never want to do a travel day. I'm like, let's just start once we're there. I'm like, no, but you always say you like doing the travel. So we do the travel day now, and actually, I think we're gonna even do an additional one this time. Strap in. Which we I don't think it'll be up by this point. So I'm gonna open my thumb.

Jessica

It might. No, it might be. Uh maybe not.

Tyler

You're right. But coming up soon, we're going to have a like pre-trip video where we're talking about packing, talking about we're gonna go on especially little shopping trip for the like all kinds of stuff. For Disney stuff, like then a travel day, then the rest of the vlogs. So we got a lot of vlogs coming up on this trip. And I know I mentioned this in the last podcast, but this is the first trip that we're doing on this channel that's new vlogs, because up until now, all the vlogs that have been coming over are all old videos from the last couple of years. But this trip, this Animal Kingdom Lodge trip, new vlogs coming on this channel.

Jessica

You haven't seen them, you're not gonna click on the video and go, wait, have I seen it? Have I seen this already? Wait, this was two years ago.

Tyler

I've not seen it. These are brand new babies.

Jessica

Yeah, if you cannot tell, we are so razzed, so jazzed. Um, okay. So travel day. So yeah, we'll have our vlog of the trip prep, pack with us, shop with us, all of that for this Disney trip. Then travel day. So we're flying there. We always fly southwest, which is great, because from where we live, I don't know, is it actually a southwest hub? I don't know. Southwest doesn't have to be. The Indianapolis airports are like closest airport.

Tyler

Southwest doesn't have hubs in the street.

Jessica

Southwest's like, we don't believe in hubs.

Tyler

They don't.

Jessica

It's a it's um they believe in assigned seating now. Anyway, so um different conversation for a different day. Right. So we'll fly directly there, which is nice, and for us it's like a two-hour flight.

Tyler

Two hour flight. Yep. And we I think we've only ever flown Southwest because it's always for us from here, which we live in Indiana, it's always the least expensive, always direct. They always have like three or four direct flights a day, so it's just always what we do.

Jessica

Works out great. But for the transportation, we have tried, I think everything multiple times out there, yeah, for getting from the airport to the hotel. We have tried MCO to Disney, big fans, a little bit pricier though. We have done like Uber and Lyft, we've done whichever one that you can sometimes get the car seat. Although now I think you have to schedule that ahead of time, which again you can do.

Tyler

You used to just be able to land, order an Uber car seat, and then it would be there within 20 minutes.

Jessica

Yeah, now it's a little different. So definitely if you want to do that, look in look into it early.

Tyler

At least the last time we tried to do that, that's what happened.

Jessica

Yeah, we just had to schedule it. But again, if we're gonna do that, we might as well do MCO to Disney. There it's a great again, it's like a car. But anyway, my point is we're doing Mears, the bus transportation, which we did kind of recently, not super recently, but we also remember the Sunshine Flyer. But then I think did Mears buy that out or did they just close now? Okay. So anyway, it definitely is, I think, the cheapest option compared. It's definitely cheaper than MCO to Disney, but again, it is nice to have that like direct. You're giving up the direct drive from, you know, with you've got a car basically taking you, they're gonna take you right to it. Whereas with mirrors, there could be five hotel stops on there. You know, you never know how long it's gonna actually.

Tyler

It could take a little bit longer. The other thing is, is on mirrors, you will not have car seats. And as a matter of fact, if you fly with a car seat, they will make you put it underneath your underneath the the motor coach. And some people don't like that. Some people only will they want to have the car seat. So if you are, if you were somebody that want to have your kid in a car seat and even on a motor coach, don't want them to just be sitting on your lap or whatever, you're gonna need to do like an MCO to Disney or something like that, where you can make sure they're in a car seat. So that's another factor to kind of consider if you want your kid to be in a car seat.

Jessica

Yeah, but I mean, the bus transportation generally works so great. Yeah, it really does.

Tyler

We had babies, we just had them on our lap on the motor coach, yeah. There's seat belts, yeah.

Jessica

And it it just it generally has worked great. So I'm excited to do it again, and we definitely save some money there. We saved a lot of money on this trip doing things like um, because we get that's a question we get a lot, like how we save money. We could probably do a whole episode on this. Maybe we should. Maybe I'll hold on to that. All the different ways we save money.

Tyler

See, I've had this idea for years. If Disney would do this thing where they could contract out with Mir's, but it could be like Disney's enchanted motor coach. And it could be runs of a better name. Run through Disney. Magical, magical, Disney's um I don't know, something like that. I don't know. Something like that. But then they could be the ones to kind of, you know, actually it'd be a branded thing through them. Um, the luggage could just be delivered here. While you're on your way where, you know, you could be learning stuff along the way.

Jessica

Um about how to check in, how to check out.

Tyler

That way you're not having to worry about it, even if you have to pay a little something, but that way, you know, your arrival experience is very magical. It's all coordinated with the resort. You know, I just feel like it's great.

Jessica

Sounds like something Disney should definitely do.

Tyler

I'll I'll I'll talk to Josh.

Jessica

Magical Express. That'd be a good name for it.

Tyler

No, I don't like that. So moving on. So we're gonna take Mir's transportation.

Jessica

So we're getting in at night. We're getting in. Our flight lands at like 9 p.m.

Tyler

That's right.

Jessica

So, and I totally forgot about that. Yep.

Tyler

Um, so say a prayer for us because which typically it's it's because of us moving our trip with this concert. We are actually flying in like after the girls get out of school. That's why we're flying in late.

Jessica

Yeah. And so we've never done it.

Tyler

Normally we fly early in the morning.

Jessica

Yeah.

Tyler

And again, I can I can link a blog below all about flying with kids. We've talked, we've we've I think at this time, actually, hold on. We have flown with our kids after this trip. We will have flown 49 times with our older and 32 times with our younger kid. So we've been around the block a couple times when it comes to flying with kids. So I have an entire blog post about flying with kids. I will link that below if you are flying with a kid anytime soon.

Jessica

Y'all we've we've we've we've we've done long flights, overnight flights, overseas flights. Yeah.

Tyler

Yeah. Anyway.

Jessica

So the two-hour flights to Disney are great.

Tyler

Yeah.

Jessica

So I'm pulling up my Disney experience. They still call it that. What do they call this app?

Tyler

Yeah, I think they do still call it my Disney experience.

Jessica

Um, so yeah, we get in late, we'll check into the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Um, I mean, my guess is we will I don't even know what's in the food. I was like, we might have dinner before we even get on the flight.

Tyler

That's kind of what I figured we'll get.

Jessica

Especially for the kids, certainly.

Tyler

I mean, we don't land until 9 p.m.

Jessica

So we will and we can bring honestly bring some like uncrustables. I'm trying to think ahead.

Tyler

Oh, yeah. We'll we'll eat at the airport, probably snack on the plane, and then maybe get a snack in the room like once we get there. But we're gonna be exhausted once we get there.

Jessica

So I'm Oh yeah. And the uh grocery delivery, do we have it delivered the next morning instead? But no, you think?

Tyler

No, we can't.

Jessica

I know. I was looking at the next day. I'm like, I don't think so. So I think we'll have to get them delivered, and of course the bell stand will hold it.

Tyler

We can do it tomorrow. You can do it the next morning and like have it maybe delivered around noon because we'll have to have it first thing in the morning. And and we're planning on going back to you know relax in the afternoon anyway. So then we'll just do it then.

Jessica

So there's a reason we can't do it first thing the next morning. Yeah.

Tyler

So moving on to the next day.

Jessica

Yeah.

unknown

Go ahead.

Tyler

So well, hold on. One of the nice things about staying in Animal Kingdom Lodge, we're in Jumbo House and we're doing a Savannah View room. And it's nice because in this kind of hotel, you know, we're relatively close to the lobby, pretty much no matter where we are. So it's nice to be able to quickly walk to the front desk versus, you know, Caribbean Beach, Pop Sentry, all these other ones. It is, it can be a trek to get to the front desk. So this will be nice that you know we can literally pick it up as we're walking back to our room really, really fast. Yeah, that's so true. Yeah. Um, but so we'll get there, we'll check in. And I think at night they have it lit up. So even that night, hopefully we'll be able to see something, you know, a giraffe or something. They might be they might be put away by that point. I don't know, but we'll see.

Jessica

Which will be make the morning even more cool.

Tyler

The girls are gonna be like they are very excited to see animals. First thing I keep telling them, like, we're gonna go out there and have our morning coffee with our, you know, looking at giraffes and stuff like that.

Jessica

It's you have your morning orange juice or something. We'll have to figure something out. Okay. Your morning water.

Tyler

So that's our first night. The next morning, we have a reservation for our younger

First Haircut At Harmony Barber Shop

Tyler

daughter to get her first haircut at Harmony Barber Shop on Main Street. We actually did this with our older daughter in, I don't know, a couple years ago. She had her first haircut there. If you don't know, they do this whole little thing. It's so cute. You get a little lock of their hair. They're so good about it. So if you even, I mean they get special like ears that say my first haircut. Yeah, they get ears, yeah. But they just make it so magical. And I don't think either one of our girls, I don't think Genevieve was nervous, and I feel like Felicity won't be either. But like if you do have somebody that's nervous, like they give her a little toy to play with, and they just they just make it so magical.

Jessica

So, and it's just such a cool well, and for the rest of our lives, we can say my first haircut was on Main Street in the barbershop.

Tyler

Yeah, in 40 years from now, we can she can see. I just think it's cool.

Jessica

And we have all the stuff. Like, you so they give you a bunch of keepsakes, it's very, very cool. They know what they're doing. Yeah, it's harder to get that reservation. We I feel like we had to put a watch on it or something like that.

Tyler

The the first time because I did it later, but this time because we moved our trip, I was able to get it that first day. There was plenty of if you're doing it 60 days out, either you or your travel agent can get that for you as long as you're ahead of the game. But if not, always set a watch or have your travel agent set a watch and they can make sure they're they're keeping up with it. Um, because uh even with that, I think I found a couple different reservations over time for that. And always it always comes to if you're on that day, you can always go up to the barber shop and ask if they have something open for later that day.

Jessica

So the other thing we are doing this trip is the dining plan, which we love the dining plan. Yeah, especially

Dining Plan Math And New Mugs

Jessica

when it was a special offer of like the kids get the dining plan free if the adults are paying. That kind of what was it? Something like that.

Tyler

Kids, I think nine and under get the dining plan for free. So basically the ages three to nine get the free dining plan, which is in an amazing deal.

SPEAKER_01

Done.

unknown

Yeah.

Tyler

Say less. So even though we actually just got annual passes again, we were actually able to even add it this time around. And so this is a stackable offer this year, which is unheard of. Like, I mean, this is amazing that you can have this free dining offer this year. So if you are going this year, they keep adding.

Jessica

I was like, they just did another free dining thing, I think.

Tyler

And that's so yeah, with a package. So like everybody would get free dining for this new package. So, like, anyway, it's it's a it's an amazing deal. Um, and what I will say is whenever anybody because people ask me, like, is the dining plan worth it? Like, that is one of the most common questions we get. My quick answer is always it can save you money, but it does it won't necessarily save you money. So, again, a you know, if you're using one credit, you know, if you're getting a steak and a beer and all that kind of stuff, you know, that meal might have cost $55. But if you're getting a salad and a water, you know, then that you're probably losing money on the deal. So it all depends. And so what I would always do is I would always kind of keep track on my phone of how much things would have cost. And we always end up saving.

Jessica

We've done the calculations numerous times.

Tyler

And we always ended up saving money, but it depends on how you eat.

Jessica

So you know what? That was before it included an alcoholic beverage for the sit-down. So I think, you know, at a certain point, if you know you would enjoy a glass of wine at dinner each night too, or whatever, that makes it it even more quickly makes it worth it. But it's it will always be worth it when you're getting some of them free.

Tyler

Yes.

Jessica

Um, and of course, like when they just have free dining, it's a great time to go because you you spend a lot of money on food.

Tyler

Yeah. And the kids even uh, you know, even the kids get the resort mugs, which is also part of it too. So again, it just all depends on how you use it, but you can definitely save money doing it.

Jessica

So um, and speaking of mugs, there's a new resort mug. We are so excited to get it. Um, we'll definitely show that in the vlogs, but I am excited because I feel like they've had the same one for a hot minute. So, I mean, that's probably always true, but yeah, very jazzed about getting a fresh, fresh one, fresh design.

Tyler

So later that day, uh, we are doing another new experience.

Beak And Barrel And Lightning Lane

Tyler

Beacon barrel, baby.

SPEAKER_01

How stop hitting your microphone three times?

Jessica

Just a big dumb animal, folks. Beak and barrel. Yes. Sorry, my mind is there now. All right, I'm here, I'm ready. The beacon barrel, we are so excited. Some friends of ours went um soon after it opened, and they were like, hey, just so you know, you're not gonna get a full meal there. And what is which we knew it was like a lounge more, so like if you wanted food, it'd be like little bites, kind of like a ogus cantina. Yeah. But um, what is weird is that when you book it, I'm looking at it on the app, it says the beacon barrel lunch we have booked, and it's table service restaurant. So I don't know if I mean we would just tell them we're not wanting to use Disney Plan credits on anything. So that, but what I'm saying is if you didn't know that, I feel like it would be very confusing and you would definitely go thinking you're getting lunch.

Tyler

Yeah, definitely. Because they always ask, you know, are we using a dining plan today? Just say no.

Jessica

We would just, yeah, and for that we'd be like, absolutely not.

Tyler

Yeah.

Jessica

Unless these count as snacks, in which case, maybe. Anyway, so which they don't.

Tyler

Now, one thing I will say is we're planning on doing lightning lane for this trip.

Jessica

I think across the board. Across the board. We might just do it.

Tyler

And we haven't, we've done it, you know, on specific days here and there, but this trip for the first time, we we just measured our girls, and they both are tall enough to wear like Genevieve, our older daughter, she pretty much ride everything in Tron. Yeah, Tron and isn't there one more.

Jessica

Oh, Rock and Roller Coaster right now. It's not open, yeah.

Tyler

Other than that, she can ride everything and she's pumped to ride like Everest and stuff. Like she and I'm like, okay, let's do it, man. Like you want to. Um so and then our even our younger daughter can ride so much more because she's get just hit that like I feel like 40 inches is kind of that magic number where it unlocks a whole slew of rides. So there's so much more that we're gonna be able to do this time.

Jessica

As a family, it's so hect track and all these things that we've

Tyler

Normally had to trade off.

Jessica

Even Soren, we used to have to trade off, you know?

Tyler

So it's gonna be so fun to be able to do this and do it all.

Jessica

So we wanna, yeah, just do Lightning Lane so we can like all those rides that we usually would trade off. We're like, let's just do Lightning Lane for them and let's just and that way we can book them all seven days ahead of time, be really kind of smart about that. Very excited. And speaking of test track, that's one of the rides we're dying to ride. We have not ridden it since they reopened it. 3.0. Yeah. Um, so that is one that's at the top of our list.

Tyler

I was not a big fan of 2.0.

Jessica

No, I think we both wrote it a couple times. We're like, okay, yeah, good.

Tyler

And I loved the original one. Me too. It's funny. I was just reading something the other day that was like, you know, people were so tired of 1.0, and 2.0 was such an upgrade. I'm like, huh. I mean, everybody's a title of their own opinion, but I would say that's wrong. Um unless you had seen because obviously, long story short, it went from being like you were a crash test dummy to being it was a computer simulated thing, kind of like Tron.

Jessica

Yeah, a lot like Tron.

Tyler

But unless you knew the original ride, the new ride didn't make like any sense at all. You were like in a computer simulator, and I just felt like I don't know. Yeah, it just It didn't make any sense. Like I feel like there was no storyline, and like I could associate it with the original one, but like if you didn't know the original one, you're like, what am I even doing here? Just in a black box, and I'm just kind of going anyway. Okay, moving on. Yeah, that's pretty good description of it. Okay, sorry, I've obviously have very strong opinions about this. Okay, the next day.

Jessica

Okay, the next day, Epcot. Which by the way, if you're curious, uh, we by the time you're seeing this video, we're already back from our

Epcot Go82 And France Dinner

Jessica

trip. So we didn't really want to share every single detail on our trip before we go. Yeah, yeah. Probably not a great idea. I don't know. So, if for anyone curious, yes, we we will have already done the trip by the time you're seeing this. So um, next day is Epcot. We are trading off doing GO82. We want to try all of these things, but it is adults only, 21 and over. So we are just gonna have to trade off one on one.

Tyler

So much has opened since the last time we got. I know.

Jessica

It's kind of crazy. So you're gonna go, I think I made your reservation at 340. Um, and then you couldn't do one. We were wanting, I was wanting to do one like 30 minutes later. Like you go up, enjoy a drink or a snack or whatever, see it, enjoy it, and then we swap. But I remember trying to do one like 30 minutes later and it wouldn't let me. It was like, you already have plans at this time. I'm like, no, but it's not for me. So I wonder if you had gotten on and did it on your name, maybe that would have. But either way, I was able to get one at 340 and then one at 450. So maybe we I do have you pop on and see if you can.

Tyler

Probably, but also we could probably just ask the cast member, be like, hey, my wife and I are planning on just switching off so we can, and they probably just be like, Yeah, people poop into it. Um, but yeah, the and they have, I mean, if you if you even if you don't drink, they have mocktails that you can go and get yourself a soda. Um, but just to be able to go and see the new space is is I think it'd be really cool.

Jessica

Looking at the menu, they have artisanal cheeses, like a you know, charcuterie board for 29 bucks. They have some hummus, um, flatbread, ahi tuna, um, crab, gâteau. And then, of course, all kinds of zero-proof cocktails. They've got their feature cocktails, beer, wine, et cetera. So, yeah, I'm I'm excited. I really am excited just to see it. And this is kind of the only way we can do it right now. Yeah. So that's what we're gonna do. So we for dinner that night are gonna do La Creperie. You say it.

Tyler

La creperie? No. That was terrible.

Jessica

Well, that was that was better than mine. Anyway, the crepery. Yeah. Uh, first of all, we love crepes so much. The crapery. Um, the girls love crepes so much. We've done the walk-up window a couple times, but we've never actually done the sit-down. Yeah. And you make crepes on Sundays all the time. It's one thing. So it's one of the things that's like a family thing, and it's kind of crazy that we haven't gone and had them. We've had them in France. We've had them, you know.

Tyler

Yeah. Yeah. They uh everyone in our family just is a big big fans.

Jessica

Big fans. So that is gonna be so much fun, and it's just always fun to spend time back in the France Pavilion, especially the new area. I'm just always excited to do that.

Tyler

They did such a good job with that area. Oh, it makes you.

Jessica

Although, didn't they just change it where it's not as 3D or something?

Tyler

Oh, I hadn't heard that.

Jessica

I don't know that that's for sure. I need to double check that, but I I had heard that and it so it just makes people less sick. I'm like, boo, what? But also, I'm like, well, if you can't ride it, everything makes me sick, but that ride does not make me sick. Yeah, I didn't think. I wrote it like numerous times in a row, maybe, but I'm usually fine. But that's what I heard. I'll have to look into it. You guys let us know what you know.

Tyler

Okay, so the next day we are actually doing Boma breakfast, which is just about one of the best breakfasts in all of Walt

Boma Breakfast With Tony And Carrieann

Tyler

Disney World at Animal Kingdom Lodge. If you've never done breakfast at Boma, what are you doing? No, can't be.

Jessica

It's worth, honestly, you guys, it is one of the few resort restaurants that I would be like, it is worth getting the Uber to go over. That's it. You know, I mean, you can always do, but I mean, really, for AKO, you kind of just have to Uber.

Tyler

We have not stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge since 2011 or 12, but we have been to Boma Breakfast a lot. Four or five times. It's so good. And it's so different. You get different stuff there than anywhere else on property.

Jessica

And but they still have kids stuff. They still got the Mickey Waffles and the eggs, so like your kids are still gonna be happy, but you get to have songs.

Tyler

But we are meeting our great, great friends, Tony and Carrie Ann. Tony is an agent at People Move or Travel, but I've known uh Tony and Carrie Ann since I was a wee lad.

Jessica

They're they're here from our hometown.

Tyler

Yeah, they don't live here anymore, but yeah, back in my my theater days. Um, I mean, we did um Sweeney Todd together and uh I mean a million different things together.

Jessica

Uh but yeah, they live not far.

Tyler

Yeah, they now live, yeah. So they'll they're driving over for the day. Um anyway, that's gonna be so fun to see them.

Jessica

And it'll be kind of cool. This is the I mean, I'm excited to be able to just leave our room and just go down to breakfast at one of our favorite breakfast spots. Usually we're having to Uber, or you know what I mean, or do a bus, then a bus, then a you know. Yeah. So it's gonna be really cool to just like go down. Yeah.

Tyler

Probably. That's gonna be so fun. Yeah, we did what we did West Side Story, Spitfire Grill, Picasso at the La Panagio. We did a lot together. And then they moved to Florida. Okay. Um, so yeah, that's gonna be a very, very fun day. So then after we have breakfast with them, we are going to Hollywood Studios. Uh we are doing, I don't we have a yeah. Oh, there it is. Okay, yes. Oh, I'd like to not share with it. No, no, so we are doing sci-fi, and

Sci Fi Dining And Phantasmic Seats

Tyler

I think the girls are gonna absolutely love this. Like, I don't think we've done it since Genevieve was a baby.

Jessica

The last time we did it, we definitely did not have Felicity yet.

Tyler

Yeah, so it's been a long time. Yeah. So I think the girls are gonna, and I I I I don't know why I know this, but I know this to be true. Felicity is gonna lose her mind about this. She is gonna find it.

Jessica

Like, why is it dark?

Tyler

Wait, and the big screens, but then she's gonna just settle in the room. And it's weird, and like the like it's monsters and stuff like that. She goes, and you're sitting in a car, like I can see like it's one of those things that like in three months from now, we're gonna be like on our way to school, and she'd be like, Daddy, remember that time?

Jessica

We ate in a car and watched a movie.

Tyler

Um she's gonna love it. I know. Anyway, it's just one of those things, like it's so unique and so magical. And weird. Sci-fi is one of those just things that I'm like, it's one of my go-to recommendations for people because I'm like, it is. I mean, it's well, I usually typically I get a burger, you know what I mean? But it's always good. They used to they used to have frickles. I don't feel like the last time we went, they didn't have them, but the frickles were always good. Yeah, you can't go wrong with Freddy Frickles, come on. But we're doing a phantasmic dining.

Jessica

Yeah, so then we'll do, and actually we're doing it, it's technically a lunch um at 350, and then we'll have like the good seats, if you will, for Phantasmic at the first showing, which is gonna be awesome. Because honestly, I think the last time we went, we were very far back. No, no, we that was maybe that was two times ago. And we were intentionally because we were like, well, but we were like, yeah, the back backy back. Yeah, so it's gonna be cool to have some like decent seats for that.

Tyler

Yeah, but I mean hopefully not too close though, so we don't get freezing. Yeah, and we're yeah, get all wet.

Jessica

I feel like you can, yeah, we'll figure that out. But the girls already love Phantasmic. We were actually watching a video with them the other day of Phantasmic fails, like malfunctions and what Disney does, like what their plan B. You were watching some of it because we were like, oh, oh no, you weren't. Well, it was me and the girls. Fascinating. They were, especially Genevieve, was very into it. Oh, I bet it was TPM vids.

Tyler

Um, okay, so the next day

Birthday Breakfast At Cinderella's Royal Table

Tyler

is actually our daughter's birthday, and we are doing Cinderella's royal table for her breakfast.

Jessica

We thought, what can we do for her that would make her feel very special? Because we really aren't doing like a birthday party for her. We should probably discuss that. We never thought about not in Disney, obviously. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But we were kind of treating this as like, you know, this is what better. Most expensive birthday party you could ever thought of. Yeah. Well, and and she, you know, so anyway, we'll figure that out. But um, we figured this would be very special. And of course, she's so into princesses and dressing up like a princess, and it's gonna be so fun. Yeah. And you know what? The last time I went to Cinderella's royal table, you were not there.

Tyler

No, because I was in trouble.

Jessica

I was with the moms. I was with my mom and Tyler's mom and the girls, and it was, I mean, it was so much fun, and the food was great, and it was a breakfast as well, and it was really good. Yeah, or was it lunch?

Tyler

I feel like the breakfast is the way to go there because you're still getting the experience. And for me, the the experience is what you're doing, Cinderella's Royal Table for. The dinner there we did a year.

Jessica

It was a long time ago, though. We should eventually change it.

Tyler

The food was not amazing, but I feel like it's much harder to mess up breakfast and you're saving a little bit of money.

Jessica

So, but dinner time, you can time it with like the fireworks, and we have done that before. That was pretty cool, and that was very cool. You don't, it's not like you're seeing the show perfectly, but you're just seeing the fireworks out the window, like yeah.

Tyler

That was that was pretty cool. That was on our honeymoon. Yes, it was. Okay.

Jessica

Oh, yes. I'm excited about this one. Okay, the next day, this is one of my requests that I wanted to do. We are doing Sanaa dinner

Sanaa Bread Service After Animal Kingdom

Jessica

at our resort. Sana'a is so good, and I think we've only eaten there once.

Tyler

Yeah, I think so.

Jessica

And I think it was with a bunch of family, like we had all of the grandparents there years ago, again, probably like a decade ago. I am so excited to go back, get the bread service, of course, get everything else. But it's the fact that you're seeing the savannah and the animals right out the giant windows while you're eating, it's gonna be.

Tyler

No, it's at Kidani Village, so not Jombo House. Um Giko's little saunter. I say, yeah, Jico is the one at Jombo House. So we'll have to go over to Kidani Village, obviously, not a big deal. But just so you know, um, but we actually were gonna try and get Jico originally, but then I think you it was signature. That's why we wanted to. And so we decided to do Sanaa instead, which And Jico, I feel like, is more fun.

Jessica

I mean, I think kids can go, but we ate there and it was just us, and it felt more adult.

Tyler

Yeah, I would agree with that.

Jessica

Yeah, like I think, like I said, the kids can go, but Sanaa was just a little more bright and family friendly, and I don't know and yeah, you got the big old windows, like you said.

Tyler

It's uh it's been a long time. Beautiful, yeah. And that is our Animal Kingdom Day. So we'll spend our day at Animal Kingdom, but again, Animal Kingdom closes at like five that day.

Jessica

Yeah, six p.m. I'm looking at it. Six, okay.

Tyler

Yep. So they again, there's so much they can do at night, and they keep like teasing us with it, they keep like giving us these things. They're like, here's this nighttime show.

Jessica

Just kidding.

Tyler

Then they take it away a few months, or they'll do it like the thing on the um they'll figure it out. The the tree of life, or they'll give us cool things in Pandora, or they'll, you know, do all these cool things tonight. And they're like, nope just kidding, closes at five. I'm like, okay, well.

Jessica

But it'll be really cool to end our day, go back to our hotel a few minutes down the road, freshen up, take a breather, and then walk over to Kidani Vani, whoa, Kidani Village for dinner.

Tyler

And you know we're after that, we're going for a nighttime swim.

Jessica

That sounds amazing.

unknown

Yeah.

Jessica

That sounds amazing.

Tyler

Obviously, that's what we're doing.

Jessica

But we're gonna have to let that food settle, though, you know? Like, we'll give it a beat and then do like wait 30 minutes before you go swimming. That's right.

Tyler

Okay.

Jessica

I guess I guess your tummy would be okay if you're just standing in the water the way I do. I just stand in the water and enjoy it. Are you going out swimming laps? I float, I float around. I'll swim on my back a bit, you know. But I mean, I'm not doing laps, is I guess my point. Swimming with the girls.

Tyler

So next day we are doing Epcot. We don't really have any plans that day.

Jessica

I l So we left that open, and I think I need to

Open Plans Credits And Disney Springs

Jessica

do the math again. How we're how we're doing on using up the table service credits. But Cinderella's Royal Table uses two, which kind of works out perfectly because our first day, we get in so late, we wouldn't be using the credit for that night. Or maybe we were no, that wasn't what it was. It was that our last day, we leave, you know, in the afternoon. So we're like, well, we just won't do a table service that day. So whatever that one would have been, we're using what it was. For the second credit for Cinderella. So we would have, I'm pretty sure, a table service credit to use that day. But I kind of wanted to leave it open because I went through and I was like, there's nowhere in Epcot. Listen, there's everywhere an Epcot I want to eat. But there's also all the festival booths and stuff like that. So I was like, we'll figure it out, but nowhere that we like needed to make a reservation. Do you know what I'm saying?

Tyler

That also could be a day that we go to Disney Springs.

Jessica

That is so true.

Tyler

Um, because we don't have a Disney Springs day yet.

Jessica

Wait, did we not make a summer house?

Tyler

No, that was one that made me think.

Jessica

We did. We did that's why we didn't make one that day. I'm remembering now. Sorry guys, we should have prepped a little bit.

Tyler

Oh, the next day.

Jessica

So let's skip to the next day and then we'll go backwards.

Tyler

Okay.

Jessica

The next day is our last day, but our flight is later. What time is our flight? Do you have that pulled up?

Tyler

Uh it leaves at 9 15 p.m. So but I remember now we were going to go to Disney Springs on that final day, but we're switching because BuzzLet, your Space Ranger spin, opens on April 8th. So I think we're gonna try and do Magic Kingdom that day. So we can maybe try and hit that up on opening day.

Jessica

Okay, yeah. And then we have Summer House on the Lake lunch, but we could maybe do that later because we have it booked right now at noon.

Tyler

But if we did Magic Kingdom in the morning and tried to Although it's gonna be a nightmare, well, again, we're making lightning lanes.

Jessica

We might be able to just make a lightning lane for it ahead of time and no, we'll figure that out. We will have already gone through it by the time you're seeing this, but the that was the original plan. And then Epcot, because we were gonna be using that credit on our last day, we were just gonna do festival booths and enjoy all that, which we're gonna get into in a minute, and just enjoy all of that food, do a quick service somewhere, you know, that kind of thing. We'll see. We'll suss it out. It'll probably change. I mean, all of this is subject to change, of course.

Tyler

Our entire trip has changed three times. I'm looking at what we originally had booked in December on this little note here. We had Coral Reef, uh, Sebastian's Bistro, Storybook Divine. Um, Ohana. These are all things that we had on our first reservation that are all not on this reservation. So things change all the time.

Jessica

Yeah. So, okay. So a couple of quick service places, because obviously we didn't necessarily, I know some people you'll plan that out. We usually don't we might be like, okay, we're definitely going to do a quick service breakfast this day or a quick, you know, but usually we just kind of feel it out, suss it out the night before, like, all right, what do we want to do? And we do make a little bit of a plan, especially breakfast. I realized a few years ago, I remember telling you, I was like, we need to have a plan for breakfast the night before because I get so hangry. The kids get hungry, like, we need to know what we're doing. Are we doing it here at the resort? Are we just making something in the room? Are we gonna do it at, you know, Magic Kingdom? So that has been a game changer because then it's like, all right, we know what we're doing. So there are only a few quick services we put on our list that we have either not tried or are really wanting to go to. So Cats are a grill in Epcot.

Tyler

It's the only restaurant in Epcot we've not been to.

Jessica

And I have not been to Coral Reef. That's still up there. But yeah, I think that's literally wild. Yeah. Um, so that is on the list. We gotta try it this time. Summerfest, but just for the pretzel bread pudding that you guys recommended. I just want to try that at some point. Refreshment port, you guys recommended the poutine there. And you didn't like the poutine at Daily Poutine. So I want to try more poutine for you to figure out what you like. And then all of the snacks. So we have obviously snack credits. Is it one per day? Right?

Tyler

Now it is, yeah.

Jessica

It used to be two, which honestly was kind of too much. Like, depending on how you do it, you we ended up with a lot of snack credits at the end of the trip.

Tyler

Yeah, we would go and buy like things in the gift shop that were snack credits that we could take home with us, which wasn't really.

Jessica

No, but you know, it's money. It's like, well, I'd rather just not spend the money, although I'm sure they're charging us more. Well, anyway. Okay.

Tyler

Here's I'm not even gonna look. You just you you you tell me, paint me a word.

Jessica

All right, so this was

Snack List From Brioche To Poutine

Jessica

all my research, and I'm gonna be delighting Tyler with snacks the whole trip. It's gonna be amazing. It's gonna actually be very fun for me. Let's go. Okay, number one, we will be trying the croque glacé at the Lardeson de glace, whatever, uh, in the France Pavilion. This is a sweet brioche bun.

Tyler

Okay.

Jessica

Cut in half.

Tyler

Love it.

Jessica

With ice cream in the middle.

Tyler

Is this, I mean, it's so it's something that's always there.

Jessica

Yep. And apparently it is out of this world good. I saw what it looks like. It looks so good. I cannot wait to try this. You are going to love it. I mean, it just looks so different and good. Um, and I've heard amazing things about it.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

Jessica

A lot of these are sweet. Okay, so stay with me. Okay. And if you're hungry or have a sweet tooth right now, I'm so sorry. I had to be intentional about when I was doing this research. I had to not be hungry because it was a problem. At caramel couche, they have their caramel carrot cake whoopee pie. So it's carrot cake bun almost with like a cream in the middle.

Tyler

Um where does a carrot cake come in?

Jessica

The carrot cake is the bun. It's literally, think of a sandwich. Okay. And it's carrot cake, carrot cake. And then instead of like, if you had a it's almost like how people take the bottom of the cupcake off and squish it. It's like that. Okay. But prettier.

Tyler

Okay.

Jessica

Um, I've heard it's really good, but it's better warm, but I don't think they'll warm it for you.

Tyler

You just set it in the sun.

Jessica

So yeah, the girl was saying she would just like kind of, she said at one point, I guess she drove in. She was like, I left it in my car to warm up. Anyway, I don't know. We'll have to figure it out.

Tyler

Buy a cup of coffee and set it on top of the cup of coffee.

Jessica

I figure a lot of these will literally split between the four of us. Because like it's so rich that I'm like, I'm probably not gonna eat the ice cream I will buy myself. That we will be getting our own.

Tyler

But this, yeah, I'll probably take a bite of that and be done.

Jessica

Same. So I'm like, that's kind of perfect. We use one of our four snack credits, split it four ways, and then we get to try a lot of them. But apparently, the trolley car at Hollywood Studios, okay, they're Starbucks, they have a carrot cake whoopee pie. Maybe one is named something different, but the one at Caramel Kouche has caramel involved. They have one that's apparently even tastier. So I'm like, honestly, maybe if we try one, we just do the one.

Tyler

Yeah.

Jessica

You know we're getting coffee there. So we're gonna wait in the line. So Swirls on the Water is um like ice cream, Dole Whip, et cetera, there at Disney Springs. I don't think we've ever stopped there. I'm trying to think. I don't think so. I don't think so. But you can get a trio sampler there of like three different Dole Whips and they have different flavors, different toppings. I'm like, that sounds fun. Because again, we could just get one, all of us just kind of try it, cool us down. Because when you get Dole Whip at, you know, Magic Kingdom, let's say, you're kind of committing. You're like, all right, well, I'm doing all this, but they're having a little sample. That's actually kind of cool. So and for the girls to try it too, because again, I don't want to commit to buying them pineapple ice cream and then they not like it.

Tyler

Although Felicity does love it. Oh, she will love it.

Jessica

Yeah, there's a breakfast sandwich that's apparently really good at Earl Love's sandwich. And I feel like quick breakfasts are tricky, and we don't often go to Disney Springs in the morning, but I love Disney Springs in the morning. So go there, get a few breakfast Sammy's.

Tyler

It's not something, yeah, we never go there in the morning.

Jessica

I know. Speaking of, another thing on the list is to go to Everglazed, which is over by the bowl, uh, the bowling alley, all that. They have cold brew and donuts, and you can get a topper where you get the cold brew, and then the donut goes on top of the lid where the straw is coming through. I mean, it's just a way to hold it.

Tyler

It sounds too much. It's too much.

Jessica

Which is a donut and cold brew. I mean, that's all it is. It's just cute that you can just have it on top. It's not in the coffee Tyler, it's on the it's just to hold it. Okay. I thought it was cute.

unknown

Okay.

Jessica

All right. Anyway, the most popular thing right now that I have seen everyone talk about is the cookie dough brownie. Even RZ Roll, they tried it. I'll have to ask them in person how they loved it. I think it was at where was it at? Animal Kingdom? I'm trying to think of where I saw him getting it in their reel. I don't know. We'll figure that out ahead of time. Never fear.

SPEAKER_01

Cookie dough brownie.

Jessica

Yeah, and it, I mean, it looks good. I love anything like that, like where you're mixing those kinds of things. Because sometimes the brownie itself is just too much. But when you got like cheesecake swirl into it, or cookie dough swirled in, like, I think it's like cookie dough on top and then brownie on the bottom and like chocolate chips. Anyway, I'm realizing I can picture all of this stuff. You poor sap can't.

Tyler

It just sounds like so much, it sounds like a lot of sweetness.

Jessica

Wall strap in. So electric lemonade, that is one of the most popular things at Epcot, and it's usually during the festivals. And I don't think we've ever tried it. And the girls would love it too. Okay. So again, we maybe just get one and split it or two, but um, it's at the pineapple promenade and it looks really good.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

Jessica

The Norway beer cart, this I wrote is for you. This is what I'm gonna bring to you. Good start. Norway beer cart. You can get yourself a beer, but the lemon bowl, it's like school bread, but instead of the coconut and all that, it's lemon.

Tyler

Done.

Jessica

Yeah, I was like, Tyler's gonna love it. It's got lemon curd. I'm like, wow. So there you go. That's one I'll bring for you.

Tyler

Love a lemon based dessert.

Jessica

At Swirld Showcase, cute, the honey muscle, marscapone cheesecake.

Tyler

Honey marscapone.

Jessica

Oh, that's I was like, doesn't that sound kind of like a little more subtle? Yeah. Yeah, and they get a little creative during the festival. So I feel like that one that one was up there for me. Tyler.

Tyler

Jessica.

Jessica

At Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs on the boardwalk.

Tyler

Love the good start.

Jessica

I know the girls love corndogs. We could all eat dinner there at the corndog stand. They have a pickle dog. What?

Tyler

Just the phrasing of that. We can all have dinner at the corndog stand.

Jessica

There's always money in the lemonade stand.

Tyler

We can all have dinner at the corndog stand. There's always money in the corn dog stand. Okay, go ahead. Sorry.

Jessica

So a pickle dog is a pickle with a hot dog. Wait, where's the pickle involved? Is it a pickle on the outside? Anyway, it's like a pickle within a hot dog within the regular corn dog outside.

Tyler

It's like a turduccin, but a corndog pickle. A corn tickle.

Jessica

Nope.

Tyler

No, not a not that, but something like that.

Jessica

Yeah.

Tyler

It's a corn dickle.

Jessica

Kids walk walk over and get yourself.

unknown

Yeah.

Tyler

This is a family-friendly show, guys. Okay. Well, that is.

Jessica

I mean, what do you call a corndog pickle? I think that's what you call it.

Tyler

Great. Yeah, I will.

Jessica

Hashtag corndicles talk.

Tyler

Two corn nickels, please, and thank you. Sorry. I make myself laugh. Sometimes I just think funny thoughts. Go ahead.

Jessica

I don't think you even thought it. You just said it. But doesn't that sound awesome?

Tyler

That sounds great.

Jessica

Yeah. Okay. The onion tart. I wrote Jess OMG, yes. At Fleur de Lee in the France Pavilion. It's like a, you know, little tart, but like onion, like caramelized onion.

Tyler

Oh, that sounds great.

Jessica

Anything like that. And it's it's um savory. It's not sweet. It's savory.

Tyler

Um, we just got uh in a vlog I just uploaded, we were in Epcot, and we got some, I don't remember what it was, but it was some like little rectangular baked thing. Um and it had a big, super duper long name. And I remember it was unbelievable. I might have written it down. I think we were, it was like a we we rated like a nine and a half out of ten. Like it was unbelievable.

Jessica

Go back and figure out what that was. Let's get it again.

Tyler

It had a very, very long name. It was at the uh the festival booth.

Jessica

Okay. I bet it's probably at the same one. So we might see it. There were a few I didn't write them down, but a few- It had onion in it. Was it a flatbread that had like onion in it?

Tyler

No, no, no. It was like a um cassoulet kind of thing. It was like a little uh egg and onion and all kinds of stuff. It was yeah.

Jessica

Okay, maybe it's the same thing, honestly. Blossom spritz at the Germany festival booth. Spar the I wrote, I would I would love this. So while you go get your thing at Norway, I'll go get the Blossom Spritz. It's sparkling wine, St. Germain, Lime, Mint. I'm like, oh my gosh, say less. All that sounds amazing.

Tyler

Yeah, it does sound good.

Jessica

Um, plant-based poke bowl. So they have a tuna one at one of the booths. Okay, but she said this one's really good too. Um, it doesn't have tuna in it, obviously. She was like, it's almost lunch size, and it's at a booth called Nectar, which had a lot that she recommended. This is Disney Foods food blog.

Tyler

Where uh where is that booth?

Jessica

I think it's near the front area of the World Church. I don't know. Don't quote me on that. Okay, because I don't think it's in towards the back in the countries.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, okay.

Jessica

Oh, and for you, at Hollywood Studios, Fairfax Fair, they have their Buffalo chicken waffle bowl.

Tyler

Say less.

Jessica

And she said it is so good, and it looked really good. And I was like, Tyler would love that.

Tyler

Buffalo chicken and chicken and waffles. You combine those two? Come on, man.

Jessica

I know my mouth is watering just thinking about it. I might be getting that too. I know.

Tyler

It still sounds good.

Jessica

Um, so cake bake, I looked, there were no reservations. So cake bake, if you guys didn't know, started in our town.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

Jessica

So there's only three in the world, two of them are near us, and then one's in Disney. So when it was opening there, we were like, wait, what? Like the cake bake, like our cake bake? So we've certainly been there. We don't like I would like to go to the one in Disney, but it's not we haven't gone for a reasonable.

Tyler

We've been to the ones, the ones here many times. Yeah.

Jessica

It's beautiful. Totally worth going. Okay. That's not our point.

Tyler

And the second we heard it, we're like, well, that makes sense. It's a very Disney.

Jessica

Very Disney, perfect on the board. It's beautiful. Yeah. Um, they have in the to-go area, like if we are getting our corn dickles in the uh boardwalk area, yeah, go over there for dessert. You can get like to-go little things and they have the cakes and stuff. But they have a peanut butter mousse pie cup. I love moussey desserts. And she said it is very good. You could absolutely split it. Um, but then you can just get it and go versus having to, you know, go there.

Tyler

So by the way, if you are going to Cake Bake, assuming they have it at the one in Orlando, we've tried a lot of the different cakes over the years. My favorite is still, it's Oprah's favorite pie, I think is what they call it. Yeah, it's the like it's like a mint chocolate chip chocolate chip cake. It is the best one I've tried. So if you're going and you're getting one thing a cake, that's still the one I recommend.

Jessica

And always reminding, you can absolutely split. You will not finish a disco cake.

Tyler

It is a big split them.

Jessica

Then you can try more than one, like maybe, I don't know. Yeah, but um still. Also, just a little bonus thing Kringla Bakery there in Norway has an orange cream cinnamon roll. I just love orange flavor. So think about it, it's a cinnamon roll, but instead of just the regular, it's orange flavor.

Tyler

Yeah, that makes sense.

Jessica

That sounds so incredible to me. And then for kids, nectar, that same place. This was one of their like top recommendations, this booth. Um, they have frozen outshine bars, but in a smoothie. And it's outshine brand. Think of how good we outshine popsicles are our favorite. Very good, but they have it in a smoothie.

Tyler

I'm like, that's a great idea.

Jessica

Yeah, the kids would love it. We would love it, especially if it's a hot day. Anyway, take the stick out or no, I think it's literally in a smoothie. Oh, okay. Get out, get at it. Yeah. Well, I know that was a lot, and I I hope I didn't make any of you guys hungry. You might have tuned out. Sometimes when I hear people talking about food, but I can't see it, I don't like it. So I'm I apologize if you didn't like it, or maybe you loved it. I don't know.

Tyler

Hopefully, the card dick will brought you right back to Earth.

Jessica

Hopefully, we'll be able to show you a lot of these in person on our trip. You know what I mean? So in the vlogs, you'll get to see a lot of these. Now we're gonna have to go over to the boardwalk and get that.

Tyler

Absolutely. So I think the way this is all gonna work out, because we saw the so through the end of April,

Fresh Vlogs Coming To Disneyville

Tyler

all our old vlogs are coming out. At the beginning of May, we'll have our pack with us, get ready vlog, then our travel vlog, and then right into these vlogs. So starting at the first of May is when this is all. Fresh, fresh, yeah. Everything we're talking about here, you'll see on all these vlogs that are coming up soon. So get excited, get pumped.

Jessica

That'll be some fresh new vlogs.

Tyler

So um, and then April 28th, if I remember right off the top of my head, is the final old vlog coming up in uh it's been fun though, revisiting those vlogs.

Jessica

And I know so many of you guys have just re-watched them, or like you joined us later and you haven't watched any of them, or you'd only seen our newest. Um they're really well done. We only brought over vlogs. Um that sounds like, but I mean, we only brought over the vlogs that we felt represented, the quality we wanted, who we are now, because you know, the ones from when we were like 15 years ago, it's like we just we've changed so much, and I don't know, and also the quality. I was like, that was the thing. And we were like, you know, if someone's stumbling upon us and that's the first they're seeing of us, I don't know that it was always the best first impression. So yeah, anyway, but it's also nice to just have all of our Disney stuff here on Disneyville, it just feels right.

Tyler

Yeah, because it was also when we like when we stopped showing our kids for the most part, and then the new edits don't have them in it anymore, and then the new camera that I bought that's just much higher quality cameras, and just things have changed so much.

Jessica

So we are we still went back like how many?

Tyler

2022, I think, is when we okay.

Jessica

So we went back like four years. Yeah.

Tyler

So there's by the time all those old vlogs are up, there's gonna be, I think, 46 vlogs that are old vlogs. Um, we have like 125, 150 vlogs from all of our years of going. So we brought over quite a few of them. Yeah, it's like a thing. Um, and then yeah, we'll have lots of new vlogs, and then we have Disney Cruise vlogs coming out.

Jessica

We're going on the new ship here uh in a few months. So we'll see that too. But the destiny Yeah, yeah, not the new, new, new, but it's still brand new.

Tyler

But yeah, so we have lots of stuff coming out. So very, very, very excited about all this stuff coming out here on the Disneyville channel. So thank you guys. Stay tuned. Please subscribe, sticking around. Tell all your friends.

Jessica

If each of you tell two friends and then they tell two friends, then we can't Yeah, I will say the hardest thing about the switchover, and we knew this going into it, is you know, they were on your channel, which has nearly a hundred thousand subscribers. Okay. We're moving it to our sweet Disneyville channel, which does not have a hundred thousand subscribers. So the hardest thing has been getting the word out to the people that watched them there, like, hey, this is where they are now. Like, if you're wanting to see the new stuff, you're you're not gonna see it on. So that's definitely been tricky, but you know, it is what it is. So tell your friends.

Tyler

Yeah. And we have uh, you guys will know because you're on this channel, but we have something a little funny thing we're kind of planning on doing on my channel to try and bring people over to the Disney Bill channel. So you guys can't. You guys will be in on the inside joke about it. But anyway, I keep forgetting we're gonna do that.

Jessica

I'm glad you keep remembering.

Tyler

Um but anyway, because I still, I mean, we're we are 27 vlogs into bringing them over here as of right now, and I'm still getting comments like, wait, what's going on? Why, why I've seen this video before? Why have I seen this before? And I'm like, I sorry. Well, anyway, that's all.

Jessica

We have like a big disclaimer in the description box, but I'm you know, not it's just hard.

Tyler

And I feel like for us, we've mentioned it a million times, but unless you've happened to have seen all of it. Every single time we mentioned it, yeah, it's yeah, just as it is what it is. Anyway, very much looking forward to the future of Disneyville here. Gonna be great. Anything else? Did we want to read a review?

Jessica

Oh, sure. Yeah, we didn't have any listener participation. We weren't sure what we weren't sure what we would have you participate in, you know, like maybe your favorite things that Animal Kingdom is. Do you have a tweet up this year? We think our next few episodes, I know now we're just chatting with you guys, but our next few episodes, we would like to do an Animal Kingdom overview because we tend to do that after we have a Animal Lodge. Yes, I'm sorry. Animal Kingdom Lodge overview, everything you ever needed to know. We do that typically. We're trying to do all of the hotels, and we've done quite a few so far.

Tyler

Um we do an episode on it and a blog post.

Jessica

So yeah, and we'd like to eventually do them. So that will probably be the next episode or two. We want to do a news episode again because you guys seem to really like that. We really enjoyed doing it, and there's a lot of new stuff coming out. So I think that'll be in the works, but yes, a review.

Tyler

All right. This is from it's underscore me, underscore Jen, underscore Jen. It's me, Jen, Jen. It's me, Jen, Jen.

Review Reading And Next Episodes

Tyler

Uh, the best way to get my fix. Of course, I love Disneyville, Disneyville for planning my next Disney trip, but it's also great for the time between trips when I need a Disney fix to hold me over. Tyler and Jess feel like friends with whom you can get excited about Disney parks and do the whatabouts, as in what about the new test track? What about the refurb of big Thunderbountain Railroad? It'll be I'll be listening, watching the podcast for as long as they want to do it.

Jessica

Oh, that's so sweet. I love the idea of the whatabouts. Like, let's just talk about what about that thing. What do you think about that? Test track, yeah. That was a good example. Yeah, I realized we didn't really talk about like rides, we're really excited to ride, but I mean, I think test track is a big one.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

Jessica

We were really hopeful that Big Thunder would be open by the time we're there. It will not be. But the new Buzz Light year, the adjusted Buzz Light year, I'm not getting my hopes up.

Tyler

Fully will get to do it.

Jessica

Because my fear is that on that first day, the only thing that will save us is if we can get a lightning lane. And even so who knows if they'll have it open for that day. I don't know.

Tyler

We'll see. So uh, but yeah, lots of fun stuff that's open since we last went there that just gonna be fun.

Jessica

Yeah, you know, like a little dumb thing we were wanting to do is the friendship boats. The one that is that what they're called? Um, there and Epcot. We have not done that in 15 years. And I was like, we should just do that, just for fun sakes.

Tyler

Get the girls on there and just go over to Morocco, you know, like there's a couple of little things that I wrote down that are things that we haven't done in years. Like the, you know, the China 360 film. We haven't done it in a million years. The uh American uh pavilion, the the American adventure show.

Jessica

We did Hall of Presidents kind of recently, but we haven't done it.

Tyler

Yeah, I'm like, we haven't done these things in years. So like I'm just excited to do these things that you know we've done them, but it's been a long time a long time. So it's just gonna be good. So again, you'll be able to see all this stuff here on the vlogs coming out soon. So yeah, anyway.

Jessica

All right, we'll shut up, we'll stop talking to your hero.

Tyler

Hope you guys enjoyed. Subscribe if you would, please, if you are not already. And we will see you guys on the next one. Bye, friends. Bye.
