Trade Deadline Grades + Breaking Down Every Player In The Cubs Lineup

Welcome back to the Monday Morning Cubs Show and boy do we have a loaded one for you guys today. Obviously it starts with a brief yet sentimental tribute to Ryne Sandberg and what he means to Mahoney on a personal level. Then we hand out our weekly awards while looking past an ugly week that could have been much better or worse depending on your own personal outlook. Afterwards, we grade the overall trade deadline with specific grades for each acquisition. We also encourage Cubs fans to stop complaining unnecessarily because it's a lame waste of time when we're 19 games over .500 and in a dog fight for the #1 overall seed in the National League with the 2nd best record in Major League Baseball. Even so, we still do some complaining before breaking down every player in the Cubs lineup and where they stand right now. Like how Kyle Tucker is hurt but can't go on the IL because that would cost him more in free agency than playing poorly through pain. Or how Dansby Swanson has to adjust to how he's being pitched much like PCA has to adapt to inside fastballs. We go through each player which leads us to a very optimistic conclusion that we're a damn good ball club. Absolutely loaded show as demanded by this time of the year and we're lucky to be dialed-in every single day with this club.
