In this episode, we explore a question that many people wrestle with in their faith journey: "If God has the power to heal, why am I still sick?" It’s a deeply personal and sometimes painful question that challenges our understanding of God's healing promises. We know God as a healer. The Bible is filled with stories of miraculous healings and verses that affirm God's desire to restore both physical and emotional well-being.
But what happens when healing doesn’t come immediately, or when illness continues? Does it mean God doesn’t care, or that our faith is somehow lacking? Join us as we listen to our guest Jo Novales, worship leader at City Reach Church, share his personal experience with a life-altering diagnosis at 16 years old and delve into the complexities of healing—looking at why some experience instant healing, while others may struggle with illness for longer periods of time. We’ll discuss the nature of God's healing in light of His greater purposes, the role of prayer, faith, and perseverance, and how to navigate the tension between our trust in God's promises and the reality of our health struggles. Ultimately, our prayer is that this episode provides practical guidance on maintaining faith during suffering and helps listeners find hope, strength, and peace, even in the midst of unanswered questions.
