Not All Clubs
After languishing for years on the back oval with second-hand balls, women’s footy has finally broken out of the dark ages… or has it? Join us as we put male dominated sports under the microscope to find out what’s really going on in local land. Is the growth of women’s sport truly a sign of deep change in these historically male spaces, or is there something less genuine lurking beneath the surface? We know there are good ones out there, surely it’s Not All Clubs.

In episode 7 of Not All Clubs – Not All Events, we’re talking about the club events that are meant to bring everyone together, but often end up doing the opposite.
From scheduling clashes and expensive ticket prices to feeling overlooked or like an afterthought, these experiences highlight the challenges that can arise when club events aren't planned with everyone in mind, particularly women’s teams.
Some of these stories are frustrating, some are so ridiculous you'll laugh to stop from crying, and most will probably sound familiar if you've spent any time around community sport. We’ll share those experiences and ask whether clubs are really thinking about who can take part in the events they're promoting.
We’ll also tackle the age-old question: who is Ladies Day really for? Should women be attending, playing, or somehow expected to do both? And when clubs say an event is about celebrating women, what does that actually look like in practice?
Because club events should be something everyone can be part of.
Please note the sound quality on this episode is awful - remember we are working within a women's sport budget.
