So if you're ready to grow a faith-based business, strengthen your confidence, and elevate your sales and marketing while keeping God at the center, then you are in the right place. So in today's episode, we're talking about the practical steps to stop playing small. The last episode we reflected on celebrating wins of 2024 and identifying areas for growth. So if you have not listened to that episode, please pause this episode, go back, listen to that one first because it will align beautifully with this episode. So go do that if you have not already. For today, however, we're going to be moving from reflection to action. We're going to explore what it means to take those faith-driven steps, the bold, confident actions to dream big for 2025 and just stop letting that fear or doubt hold you back this year. We're going to get very practical and dive into the power of writing down your goals. Make it known by writing it down. Identifying those big, bold moves that scare you, but also propel you forward. Surrounding yourself with the support that you need to succeed because faith without action, well, James 2, 26, it reminds us faith without deeds is dead. Grab your journal. Let's get ready to dream big and uncover the steps that are going to help you step boldly into God's purpose for your life in 2025. So if you're ready, let's pray. Heavenly Father, we come before you today with hearts open to your guidance and your plans for our lives. Thank you, Lord, for the dreams that you've placed within us and for equipping us with the talents and the abilities to fulfill them, Lord. We ask for the courage to step out in bold action, trusting that you are with us every step of the way. In the Bible, Lord, it tells us James 2, 26, the faith without deeds is dead. Help us to align our actions with our faith. Help us to move forward even when we feel unsure and that doubt kicks in. Lord, help us to take those bold steps towards the calling that you've placed upon our hearts. Father, remind us that our confidence comes not only from our strength, Lord, but from the power of the spirit working within us. Lord, give us clarity as we write down the goals you've inspired within us. Lord, help us to dream big and to release any fear, doubt, or limitations that may be holding us back. Lord, show us the steps that we need to take and help us, oh Lord, with the obedience and the trust even when the path seems uncertain. Father, we ask for your blessings, your blessings over the people that you've placed in our lives. Surround us with a community of support, mentors, and accountability partners who will encourage us to stay the course and remind us of your beautiful promises. Finally, Lord, we surrender our plans to you. Let them align with your will and may everything we do bring glory to your name. Thank you, Lord, for being our constant source of strength and hope as we step boldly into the future that you have prepared for us, Lord. We are so grateful, Father. In Jesus' name we pray, amen. All right, you guys, welcome back to the podcast. So now that we've reflected on 2024 and we've set a foundation for growth, it is time to shift gears and talk about how we can stop playing small this year. It is so easy to let that fear, doubt, and perfectionism and everything else just keep us stuck, but today we're going to take those practical steps towards stepping into the bold, confident, and beautiful entrepreneurs that God has called us to be. In this episode, we're focusing on exactly how to take those first faith-driven steps towards your biggest goals for the year. If you've been holding back, whether it's launching something new, pushing past a comfort zone, or tackling something that feels maybe a bit too big for you and is a little scary, today is the day that we break through that. No more playing small in 2025. No more playing small. We are going big this year. So let's dive into some practical ways to make 2025 the year where we step fully into our calling. So what I want to start with today is just let's start with just looking at your Bible and open it to James 2.26. Faith without deeds is dead. What this verse to me means, and it may mean something different to you, but to me it means that while faith is foundational, it has to be paired with action. You cannot just pray and hope and wait. You need to take action. God has placed dreams and desires on your heart, but it is up to you to take the steps and be obedient. He is not going to put it in front of you. You have to take that first step forward and show that you are ready and show that you are willing to get uncomfortable. You're willing to make that big scary move and step forward. Maybe it's launching that new product, maybe it's pitching to that dream client, or maybe it's setting boundaries to protect your time. Whatever it is, those bold steps, not only do they require faith, but they're also going to lead to growth. So what bold actions have you been avoiding? Write those down. Write down this verse. Put it in front of you in your workspace so you know that not only do you need to pray about the next steps, but you also need to take action. If he has placed that desire on your heart, it is time to ask, okay Lord, what is the next step that I need to take? I am ready and I'm willing to take action. What do I need to do next? Pray about it and take action. Don't hesitate. Take action. You prayed about it. He placed it upon your lap. Now it is your job to be obedient and take action. So there is also a power, speaking of writing down that verse, of writing things down. And there is Habakkuk 2.2 says, write the vision, make it plain on tablet so he may run who reads it. So when you are writing down your goals, it not only brings you clarity on what your goals are and that reminder of what your goals are, because our goals are constantly shifting, they're constantly changing, but if they're in front of you, you're committed. You're committed because you're seeing it right in plain sight in front of you and you are going to run towards it every time that you see it. So here's your challenge. Write down your big goal. Now write down a big and scary and audacious goal. So there's that big goal. And then there's, okay, there's a little bit bigger goal. So this is a scary goal. And then there's that audacious, oh my goodness, there's no way. I don't know how I can make it happen, but with God, I can make it happen. Write down those three goals and don't hold back. And I want you to think about where God is calling you to stretch, where God is calling you to grow and just trust in him more deeply to know that it's going to happen through one action, through one bold action that feels a little scary is going to move you closer towards those goals. But if you're just simply sitting on your butt and just praying about it and hoping, and you're not taking that leap of faith, even if it's just a small little step, you need to take action to get there. Maybe it's something you've been procrastinating on or something that you've been overthinking, but I want you to remember that courage isn't the absent of fear. It's taking action despite having that fear. And with God by your side, you don't have to do it alone. When I take action, I'm terrified. I am absolutely terrified when I take action, especially those big leaps, but I'm still being obedient. I'm still trusting in God. I'm still saying, okay, Lord, you want me to do this? I'm absolutely shaking to the bones, but if you want me to do this, I trust you. I'm going to do it. And I do it. And it is always the best decision ever. And I'm so grateful that I took that action. So just maybe reassess where you could have taken that bold action and look back on it and go, Hey, where would I be now? If I did that, like maybe the situation I'm in now, I should take that bold action. I should take that leap. And I might be further along if I took, took the steps to make it happen. So stop sitting down, stop praying, stop asking yourself, you know, what, what could I have done better? What can you do better now? One of the biggest ways that you can stop playing small is also to lean into your community. God didn't design us to do life or business alone. As iron sharpens iron, so does, so one person sharpens another. That's one of the Proverbs. I think it's 2717 that says that. Iron sharpens iron. Who's in your corner? Who's encouraging you? Who's holding you accountable? Who's pushing you towards that growth? Find those mentors, find those coaches, whether they're paid or you're in their free community, find those like-minded believers who are going to support you and sharpen you along the way. Don't, don't play small. Don't hang around with people who are behind you. Hey, find those people who are ahead of you. Find those people that inspire you. Find those people that you look at them and you don't go, Oh, I wish I could do that. Find those people that tell you, if I can do it, so can you? And that was one of the biggest things that one of my mentors in the past told me is I, I didn't know if I could do it, but I looked at her and I said, Hey, if she can do it, so can I? And that has stuck with me for my entire entrepreneur journey is just looking at other people and being inspired by them and going, you know what? They started small too. They started at the beginning too. And they rose up to the challenge. They rose up through the obstacles, through the disbelief, through the fears, through the doubts, through all of the hesitations they rose up and they took action despite the fear. And that's how they got to where they are today. And if they can do it, so can I, if I can do it, so can you. So for this episode, I have a few steps that I want you to take. I have some homework for you in every single episode. My goal is to give you something that you can just walk away and you can grow from and learn from. So my steps for you today, I want you to number one, write down your big, scary, and audacious goals. Those three goals. So big, bigger, and biggest. For those of you that are questioning what that means, big, bigger, and biggest. That top goal should be like, Oh my goodness. Like, I am so terrified. I don't know if I can do it. Goal. And the bottom one is like, yeah, I can do it. And the middle one's like, I can probably do it, but it's going to be hard to get there. So write those three goals down. Number two, identify one bold step that you can take this week towards reaching those goals, whether it's the first one or the third one, take those steps, figure out what that step is. So number three, take that step. It doesn't matter how small it seems. I need you today just to take action and know that you are capable of taking that action, but you need to believe in yourself. You need to have that unwavering confidence in yourself and in your abilities, your God-given abilities to know that you can take action. You can do this. I believe in you and I know that you can do it. And it is time that you stop playing small. You need to stop playing small. You need to step into that new role, that new version of you in 2025 that says, I am doing it. I'm forgetting former things. I'm forgetting all of the past. I'm moving forward. I am capable. I am strong. I am going to trust him more. I'm going to step fully into the purpose that he has for me. But I want you to know, again, Isaiah 43, 18 to 19, I mentioned that in the previous episode as well. Forget the former things. Do not dwell on the past and see I'm doing a new thing. God is always moving. He's always working and always calling you to do something bigger and greater. And you need to trust him more when he tells you to do something. Don't hesitate. Don't question it. Just be obedient and be willing and ready to take those big bold steps and step into that purpose he set before you. It's not going to be easy. It's a journey. They call it the entrepreneurship journey for a reason. But if you are willing to grow with the journey, you can do it. So if this episode resonated with you, please, please, please share with a friend who needs this encouragement this year or tag me on Instagram at she blooms faithfully and I can celebrate your bold steps together with you.
