Hey, hey, hey! Welcome to the Faithfully Confident Podcast. I am so glad you're here today. And if you're new to the podcast, welcome! You are in the right place if you're looking for all things faith, confidence, sales, and marketing. In this episode today, we're talking about something we all face: fear of failure, and how to overcome it while celebrating those small wins along the way. We're gonna be exploring practical ways to move past that fear, trust God through the challenges, and notice even the tiniest little victories that we normally would just skip past because they're small. We don't want to think about them. We want big victories, right? Well, the small ones are just as important. That is what helps your confidence grow each and every single day. So without further ado, if you are ready, let's dive in and let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank you for bringing each of us here today for giving us breath and the opportunity to grow in you. Lord, I know that fear can creep into our hearts. Fear of failure, fear of rejection, fear of not being enough. But Lord, you didn't give us that spirit of fear. You gave us a spirit full of power, full of love, and full of self-discipline. Father, I ask that you would fill us with courage today. This week, this month, this year, Lord. Help us to see fear for what it is and not let it control our actions. Give us the strength to take the next step, even when it feels uncomfortable. Remind us that every small step forward is a victory, and every effort we make in faith matters to you. Lord, I also pray for our hearts to remain grateful. Help us to notice the small wins, those quiet victories that normally we don't even notice. And Lord, those moments where your hand is clearly at work in our lives, Father, I pray that we acknowledge you and that we remain grateful. Father, may we celebrate these wins with joy, knowing that you are guiding us one step at a time and you are in this with us. You are in the trenches with us, Lord. Thank you for your presence in our challenges and your guidance in our decisions. Father, help us to trust you fully and to surrender our worries and to keep moving forward with confidence in your plan. In Jesus' name, amen. Fear is something that we all deal with. No matter who we are, no matter how far along we are, we all deal with fear. Even the top, top people in whatever industry you're in, we all have fear. We just have better ways of overcoming it and better ways of dealing with it. But especially when we're stepping into those new opportunities or we're trying to grow our business and our lives. But here's the good news God did not give us a spirit of fear. God did not give you a spirit of fear. He did not, he absolutely did not. You know where that came from. You guys know where that came from. Second Timothy 1:7 says, For the spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline. So I want you to take a moment just to think about that. Power, love, and self-discipline. God has equipped us to take action even when that fear shows up. And I don't know if you have acknowledged this or not, but it says do not fear in the Bible enough times for the entire year. It says 366 or 365. I don't remember, but it says that enough every single day. Do not be afraid. Do not be afraid. Do not be afraid, you guys. Do not let that fear overcome you and be part of your identity. We are not meant to live our lives in fear. With power. God has given us the ability to move forward with love. If you are focusing on God's love, fear loses its grip on you. You do not have enough fear to keep like holding yourself back because God's love is so strong, it is so powerful, and with God's love, we can overcome all of the obstacles, especially that fear. Self-discipline. Even when it's uncomfortable, we can train ourselves to take those small steps consistently. And it's those small steps that help us overcome that fear as well. So you might be feeling fear right now as you're listening to this. Fear of fail fear of fear of failing, fear of being judged, fear of not being enough. And that is okay. It is okay to be in fear. It's okay to feel fear. It's natural. We are human beings. But it's not okay to continue to live in fear. You can choose to take that next step, leaning on God's strength. God is here with us. And I want you to lean towards God as you're feeling that fear and go, Lord, give me the strength to overcome this challenge. Lord, give me the strength to overcome this fear. Lord, give me the strength to whatever it is that you're dealing with. God is with you in the trenches through all of the obstacles, all of the setbacks. Setbacks happen. Sometimes life in business doesn't go as planned. It happens. Maybe a client says no, maybe a project failed. Maybe things didn't work out the way that you'd hoped. I need you to trust that God is shaping your story even in those moments. Those challenges don't mean that you're failing. There are opportunities to grow, they're opportunities to learn, and they're opportunities to strengthen your faith. I need you to remember that you don't have to have it all figured out. Take actions, surrender that outcome to God and keep moving forward in faith. You don't have to have the entire journey planned out. You don't have to plan 10 years from now because through that planning, that puts us in control. That does not let God control. We want to trust God and surrender through these obstacles while you're running this business, while you're planning, while you're I mean, I pray before I do the I never want it. I'm gonna be honest here for a second, you guys. I did not want to do this podcast at all. And we're now currently sitting at top 3% podcast globally. I did not want to start this podcast. I was so scared. I was so afraid. Who's gonna want to listen to me? Who's gonna want to learn from me? What do I have to teach the world? Blah, blah, blah. Like I was so stuck in that fear, and God's like, no, I need you to do this podcast. This is part of your calling, this is part of your ministry. I need you to trust me. I need you to surrender and I need you just to take that step out. I need you to take that leap and just know that it's going to work out. You may not see the big picture, but I see the big picture. He saw me at 3%. He saw me at 1%. He knows that this podcast is going to make waves through the entrepreneurship industry. I don't know that. I did not know that. I certainly did not know that. I was so afraid of doing this podcast, but I took that leap and I kept going. I kept pushing. And here we are today at top 3%. So trust God through those challenges, trust God through those fears, and know that He will catch you even when you fall. So, with that being said, celebrate those wins. It's so easy to overlook progress when we're focused on the big picture. But celebrating even the smallest wins is so crucial for building that confidence and that momentum. A small win can be something as simple as sending that email you've been avoiding, writing that email for your marketing list, completing a task you've been procrastinating for days, for weeks, for months to do, showing up even when you didn't feel like it. That is a really big one there. Showing up even when you didn't feel like it. That is still a win. It doesn't have to be something that is measurable. Even just something as simple as waking up and showing up for the day. Every single step forward is a victory, and recognizing it is going to reinforce that habit of action and that continual faith in yourself and your abilities and being able to surrender even more each day. So, with that, I also want to ref I want you to reflect on being grateful and just not only celebrating those small moments, but documenting them. Grab a journal, grab a pad of paper, grab even a whiteboard on your fridge, a notepad on your phone, whatever it is that you have available to you, you always have something available to you. Even if you are, say, driving as an example, and you're like, oh my gosh, like this just happened, I gotta be grateful. Pull over, bring out your recorder on your phone. Most phones have like a mic recorder. I don't know what you call them recorder. Just search recording. But open that up and then just start talking while you're driving and document it. That's still note-taking. That's still celebrating. That's still having that reflection time with yourself. But take a few minutes every single day and jot down what went well, what did you learn? What small wins do you want to celebrate? And this simple practice will shift your focus from that fear and frustration to growth, to recognize your progress and also to recognize God's faithfulness in this journey with you. There has been things where if I didn't have my prayer written down, I wouldn't have been able to look back, you know, three years, five years, 10 years from now, which would have been today, and looked at that and been like, oh my gosh, I cannot believe how far I've come. Wow. It's crazy being able to look back on those. So make sure that you're doing them. So to end this episode, my challenge for you this week is to write down three small wins every single day, no matter how small they are. Celebrate them. Share them with a friend, share them with a community group that you have, even share it with God in prayer. But I want you to celebrate your progress and to notice how your confidence is going to grow each and every single time you do this because you're going to be able to look back each day and see just a list of accomplishments every single day. So that is your step for today. So just in closing today, I just wanted to thank you for joining me today. And just remember that fear is normal. It doesn't have to stop you. So take that small step, celebrate your wins and trust God every single step of the way. If this episode helped you, please share your wins with me on Instagram at SheBloomsFaithfully.
