Hey, hey, hey, you guys! Welcome back to the Faithly Confident Podcast. I am so glad that you are here. You are in the right place if you're ready to learn all things faith, confidence, and sales and marketing. So today we're talking about surrendering to God in your business and in your life. I'm going to be sharing how letting go of control, trusting his plan, and inviting him into those business decisions is going to amplify your confidence, your results, and just impact on a whole new level. So if you are ready for that today, stay tuned and let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank you for bringing each of us here today. Thank you for the unique calling you've placed on our lives and the businesses that you've given to us to steward. Lord, I know that fear, doubt, and just the need to control creeps in and can hold us back. Father, today I ask that you help us to surrender fully to your plan, letting go of all those worries, letting go of those fears, letting go of our timelines of when we think things should happen, and just letting go of that desire to force those outcomes. Lord, you know the timing. Father, give us clarity, give us courage, and give us that discernment to act in alignment with your will. Help us trust that when we invite you into our decisions, that you open doors we can't even begin to imagine, provide resources we didn't expect, and guide us to take those bold steps in faith. May our actions glorify you, grow our businesses, and impact the people that you have called us to serve. Thank you for your presence. Thank you for your wisdom, and thank you for your guidance today. In Jesus' name, amen. Surrendering isn't giving up, it's trusting God with the outcomes of those efforts, all of that time that we have put into our business. It means recognizing those areas where that fear, that control, or that doubt is just it's holding you back and it's intentionally letting go. That is what surrendering is. Surrendering is so powerful. And I'm gonna be sharing with you today in this episode when I surrendered my business fully to God and let go completely. How I went from making, I was lucky if I had like a$200 month to making upwards of almost 10K months. I was averaging 5k months. I want to share that with you today. And to some of you that may not seem like a lot, and to some of you that may seem like the whole entire world to you. But numbers do not matter. What matters here today and in this podcast is that we are surrendering and giving our business to God. So many of us think that we have that control every step of the way to be successful, but God is calling us to partner with Him. He wants to be the CEO of our business. He wants to do business with us. That is why He blessed you with this gift to be a steward in this area. He wants you to surrender, he wants you to open the doors for that opportunity that we could never force on our own. If I was to look back at myself and, you know, tell myself back then that I was going to have a top podcast, that I was gonna be a best-selling author, that I was gonna be, you know, speaking at summits, speaking here, and just just basically putting myself out from wallflower status because I was a wallflower before I got into this industry. I was so scared to speak up. So and let me tell you that if you are in that season of your life where you're just so scared to speak up and you wonder who's gonna listen to you, hello, hi, nice to meet you. I'm Courtney, I was there too. So it is possible to get out of that, and I can help you with that. Anyway, so we need to trust God with our our outcomes, and it says in Proverbs 16:3 commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans. Letting go of control, it allows us to focus on what we can do today rather than completely obsess over those results. And that scripture reminds us to commit our actions to God, commit to the Lord whatever you do, whatever you do, commit to the Lord, and he will establish your plans. So he wants us to commit our actions to him, and he takes our efforts and he multiplies them in ways we may never see coming. I did not see any of my results coming that I have today. I did not, but I surrendered and I trusted. Trusting him doesn't mean doing nothing, it means acting in faith and leaving the results to him. It means taking that step out and trusting that it doesn't make any sense. It doesn't make any sense, but you know that your results are going to be a result of what of what how do I say that? Your your results are gonna be based off of what God has planned for you in this season, in this journey, in this life of yours. And when we let go of that control, and again, I never ever I remember, so there's one company you guys that I signed up for and too, I want to say it was 2012. I mean the date doesn't really matter, but 2012, and I remember signing up. I saw this program and I was like, hey, where did you get that from? Like, I want that. I just didn't know where to get it from. And she's like, Oh, I, you know, just I got it through this company. And I was like, oh, okay, well, can I can I get it? And she's like, Yeah, I can I can sign you up and we can do this, blah, blah, blah, blah. Um, and I'm like, I don't want to do that. I just want, I just want the discount. Like, don't, don't expect me to do what you're doing. Like, I don't want to talk to people, I don't want to sell to people, I just want the product. Can you please just do that for me? Well, look at me today. Did I follow through with that? Like, not not at all, not even to the teeniest bit. And I'm so glad that I pushed myself out of my comfort zone completely full throttle. Like, there was no slow button for me. I dived, I dove right in, not dived, I dove right in, and oh my goodness, it was crazy. But that's not the story I'm gonna share with you today. That's a whole different podcast episode. But when you surrender, you'll notice shifts in your confidence, you'll notice shifts in clarity, and that fear and uncertainty and anxiety, they start to fade. You're no longer carrying the weight of control alone. You'll begin to see that God's guidance in unexpected ways. There's gonna be new opportunities, there's gonna be new ideas or connections that align perfectly with his plan. I cannot make those up. They just land in front of you, and you're like, You want me to do what? Okay, okay, all right, I can do that. Yep, I will be obedient, I will do that. And if you follow through, most of the time, oh those breakthroughs come when we finally stop trying to force things for ourselves and we take steps in faith and we be obedient and we surrender to his plans because he can see the whole picture. Think of it like this: you're doing a puzzle. I don't know how many of my listeners are puzzlers. Is that even a word? Puzzlers. I don't know if you guys do puzzles. I love puzzles, but I remember the first puzzle I completed, and it was a 500-piece puzzle. It's like one of the bigger puzzles I did. And I'm looking at this, going, This is the hardest puzzle I've ever done, but I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna finish this puzzle. I'm going to finish it. And I was so many times where I wanted to give up, but I'm like, nope, one piece at a time. Just one piece at a time gets me closer to the end result. Like, yeah, that put puzzle piece looks like it fits. I'm gonna try to force it in. No, it doesn't fit. Like, there's so many analogies that I could share with you about how put doing a puzzle and that frustration of doing a puzzle and that anticipation of the end result and just finishing it and trying to get it finished as as fast as you can towards business. But I'm not gonna do that because I'm gonna leave that to you just to kind of process and think about. But doing a puzzle, you know the beginning, you have all the pieces out, you have all of the options, all the choices, and you pick piece by piece by piece, and it slowly starts to come together. And then when you have all the pieces together, there's this beautiful image. And you get to look back and think about the time and the effort and the energy it took to finish that puzzle. It is so beautiful, it is so beautiful to go through. But surrendering, it means making sure that your actions reflect your values and your calling. In business, this this can show up in your sales and your marketing and the way that you're serving your clients. Instead of hustling out of fear, you're acting with intention, letting God guide your strategy, your messaging, your offers. He's guiding you all the way. Everything that you do. When I start my day, I am praying and saying, like, Lord, lead me, guide me. What do you need me to do today? Who do you need me to speak to? And I just flow with the day. I don't force anything, I don't hustle. And when your business is aligning with his purpose, your success becomes a byproduct of that faith-led action. And even the smallest steps taken in faith are victories worth acknowledging. Celebrate, celebrate, celebrate. I cannot emphasize this enough. Celebrate. Gratitude is reinforcing trust, it feels that momentum, it keeps you motivated to continue moving even when the results aren't immediate. And just celebrate that sending that first email, making that bold offer, or simply showing up in your business with God leading you, and be grateful for every step of the way. Celebrate, celebrate, celebrate. So, my story for you today, if you have made it this far, which oh Lord, I hope you did, because this one is good. But I ended up, so I was in my business where I was ready to give up. I was ready to give up, and I was like, okay, Lord, like I just I'm I'm ready to give up. Like, there's no no other way of putting this other than I'm done, I give up, it's not working for me, I don't know what to do, like all my payments are failing, all these clients are going back on me, all these yeses I got or suddenly no's. Like, I'm so frustrated, I don't know what I'm doing wrong, like help me. I I need I need to know that this business is for me. And I feel like crying thinking of this because it's just such a huge pivotal moment in my business. Like, I I was in my closet. I remember crying in my closet and just pouring my heart and soul out to God and going, Lord, like please, just I need a sign that this is for me. Like, I've put so much into this, I quit my corporate job for this, and just nothing seems to be working anymore, and I don't understand. And I prayed and I prayed. I got down on my hands and my knees and I wrote my prayer down. And I remember there was a lot of F-bombs in that that written prayer. Like, that was mad. I was mad, I was frustrated, I was feeling all the emotions. And I ended up asking God, I'm like, Lord, if this is for me, like just please send me. I need to have a thousand a thousand dollar month this month. Like, I need to have a thousand dollar month. I need, I need a month, I need, I need the money just to know that this is working for me, that I'm on the right track. Because I, if I'm not making any money, then I have to quit doing this and go back to working full time, which I know that's not the plan you have for me. So please, Lord, just just help me. Send me those clients, Lord. I am I'm so desperate right now, I don't know what to do. And I just I was so just giving everything to God and going, like, tell me what you need me to do. Like, I will do anything. If this is what you have for me, Lord, I need you to show me the steps, I need you to show me the way, like, please lead me, guide me, tell me what you need for me. But this this is my ask is that you show me through clients and just an overwhelming amount of support that this is for me, and I cannot make this up. I cannot make this up. I woke up the next day to two messages from one person I didn't even know that was in my circle watching me. I woke up to one message from one person saying, Hey, um, I've been watching your content for a while. I know I haven't, you know, been engaging, but I do read your posts, I do watch your videos, and I I want to sign up for your one-on-one. I want to sign up and I want to pay in full. And then the other message was from someone who ended up finishing their contract and submitted their payment and they did their first payment and then they asked me, they're like, you know, actually, I would prefer to pay in full. Can I please pay in full? So I woke up after pouring everything out to God to a$5,000 cash month. I was ready to give up the day before. I woke up the next day to a$5,000 cash month. That is what surrendering looks like. And I'm not saying by any means, like, please don't take this message away that God is a genie. He will, you know, fulfill all of your prayers, all of your needs. Like, he knows what it is that you need. But I'm just telling you, this is what my journey looked like when I was ready to give up. Like, I quit my nine to five corporate job with zero clients, zero income, zero, like I didn't even start my business yet. I just felt that nudge from God saying, Hey, I have this plan for you. Are you willing to step out in faith and do it? And I was like, Yes, absolutely. Let me quit my job, let me do this. And when that happened, I was like, wow, wow, you guys. So when I talk about surrendering to God, it doesn't mean stopping or waiting. It means stepping forward with faith and trusting him with the results and taking action in alignment with his calling.
