The goal of the podcast is to create meaningful conversations that bring value to listeners by exploring different perspectives. Freddy Cocek expresses his desire to go beyond surface-level discussions and delve into the unique perspectives of others. He believes that by understanding how others think and operate, we can challenge our own thought processes and gain a better understanding of the world. Ultimately, “Other People’s Perspective” aims to provide a platform for listeners to listen, learn, and laugh, leaving them with a sense of fulfillment after each episode. Through sharing the perspectives of others, the podcast hopes to bring value to its listeners and help them take away something significant from each episode.

Additionally, Freddy Cocek acknowledges his own desire for personal growth and learning and hopes to inspire the listeners to improve themselves as well. Having worked in the oil and gas industry for 22 years, primarily in Texas, he brings a wealth of experience to the podcast. He has held various roles in sales, operations, and management. However, he has reached a point in his life where he feels a higher calling. He wants to pursue opportunities that not only bring people together to share knowledge and experiences but also allow him to grow personally. Freddy believes that there are many individuals, especially the younger generation, who could benefit from the exchange of ideas, information, and experiences. He wants to help shape and mold them into their true, best selves. Although he has always aspired to work for himself and pursue the entrepreneurial path, it is only now, later in his life, that he feels ready to explore new avenues and make a positive impact on others.

Welcome to Other People's Perspective, a place for you to listen, learn, laugh, and always feel better at the end of every episode, taking something bigger away from it for you and others. And now here's your host, Freddy Cocek

Freddy00:20 - 05:02

I'm your host, Freddy Cocek , and I could not be more excited about the launch of this podcast. Well, it's finally here. I'm officially a podcaster. Now, I've done a lot of things over the past 22 years, but this is definitely a first. Like I mentioned before, I could not be more excited. I've always been fascinated with the perspectives of other people. And when we sat down to figure out what an ideal subject was for a podcast, this was pretty much the first thing that came to mind. We can learn so much from the perspectives of others. It allows us to challenge our thought process and better understand how other people think and operate. The goal of this show is to create conversations around these perspectives and hopefully bring you a solid amount of value through that process. What you won't find here is yet another boring podcast that talks about the same thing everyone else is talking about. I want to go below the surface a bit and see what is possible by learning about the unique perspectives of others. For the past 22 years, actually this upcoming September 20th will mark 23 years that I've been employed in the oil and gas industry, working in the sales, operations, and management aspects of multiple service companies and businesses, primarily here in Texas, but I've also worked in surrounding states. Back in 2011, I was employed with a friend of mine who worked in the oil and gas business as well. After a short stint of a few months there and some promises made that weren't kept, that was the push that I really needed to kick off my entrepreneurial journey, and it's been an adventure ever since. I'd had thoughts and aspirations about working for myself and pursuing the entrepreneurial path since the beginning of my career in the oil and energy industry. But I understand that it was just not yet meant to be for me earlier on in life. My plan was laid out to be otherwise. Ahead of being a business owner and entrepreneur, I'm a very proud father to my two handsome sons, Freddy, age 22, and Halen, age 14. And it's been my main goal and ambition throughout my adult life as a dad to provide the best standard of living for them and for myself, and to lead them by example and raise them to be responsible and accountable adults and men. I've been extremely blessed and fortunate with my sons as they have both grown as happy and healthy kids and their mannerisms and interactions with other people and the respect that they exhibit and convey to others. I've been complimented many times over on, and that has been my life's greatest achievement and success. Another reason that I started this podcast is because over the last several years of my life, I've developed an inner sense that my intended purpose is much higher and greater than what I've done with my life thus far. Up to this point, I feel like I've done a great job as an employee, as a business owner, as a father, and as a friend. But I believe I've reached a crossroads in my life where it's time for me to follow the path to a higher calling. In the grander scheme of things, I want to pursue opportunities to not only bring other people together to share knowledge and experiences that will hopefully help them with their personal growth and development. But selfishly, I also want to utilize that knowledge and experience to help grow myself as well. My personal feelings are that there are many people in this world, adults, and especially the younger generation, that could benefit in a positive manner from the exchange of ideas, information, and experiences that others have gone through and been subjected to, and help shape and mold them into their truly intended premier selves. I really think that we all are surrounded by lots of fantastic people and opportunities, and many of those people just need positive interactions and guidance to help them unlock and extract their true greatness and achieve their highest potentials in their lives, not only for their benefits, but for the benefits of others around them as well. Over the last couple of years, and probably most substantially within the last few months, I've experienced a lot of situations in my own personal life that have been pretty instrumental in my development as a person. Highs and lows, gains and losses, wins and setbacks. They've all been pretty fantastic learning lessons and data points for me. And I look forward to sharing them with you as we move forward and things progress. I know full and well that I'm not at 100% and I don't ever plan to be at that point. simply because I feel that we all have room for continued growth, learning, and optimization. But in the same manners that I'm hoping to improve myself, I hope that I can help you to improve you. Until the next perspective.
