SPEAKER_02

Oh you did have clothes.

SPEAKER_04

Come back.

SPEAKER_02

No readers we have.

SPEAKER_00

Hey. Clothes we are. I like that. I like that right there.

SPEAKER_04

Belly's big. Also, babies move around.

SPEAKER_02

How you doing, sweetheart? Yeah, are you feeling good?

SPEAKER_04

In your new home, home, home, home. That was good. Thanks. That's how I know you're a content creator.

SPEAKER_02

Why is that?

SPEAKER_04

Because you just like do shit I would never think about doing.

SPEAKER_02

That's a lie. You you know you know how to be a content creator. You're just busy doing other things.

SPEAKER_04

Well, good thing I'm going on leave.

SPEAKER_02

Jeez. Imagine that.

SPEAKER_04

Um It's been a while.

SPEAKER_02

It's been a long time coming. Baby, we still don't even have this place together. Can they can they see a couple of the boxes back here?

SPEAKER_04

They don't need to see anything, okay? Because we don't have a place together. And honestly, this room will probably be the last thing. Like this room in the downstairs will probably be the last thing to get done.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. I mean, priority. We gotta make sure our bed is fine.

SPEAKER_04

Our bed's good.

SPEAKER_02

Our bed is great.

SPEAKER_04

We'll finally get yeah. You like our bed?

SPEAKER_02

I was making it innuendo.

SPEAKER_04

But yeah, well, clearly our bed's great, but we have a new bed, so we gotta christen this new bed at some point.

SPEAKER_02

Do you know it's funny? We had um while I was sending up the Wi-Fi, the guy came through because we have the modem in the house uh in the bedroom in the closet. And as soon as he walked past the bed, he's like, damn, that look comfy. Think of that. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Like, little do you know. Is it your best bed that you've ever had?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Yeah. For sure.

SPEAKER_04

It's the best bed.

SPEAKER_02

You know, um, it's funny to see, like, I I hear people say the best kind of like the best kind of beds is the ones that you sink into. And I thought I was only in like cartoons and TVs and whatnot. We sink into this bed.

SPEAKER_04

It's so good. And I don't even know how I I don't even know where you are at when you get in the bed because I'm already sleep. I don't feel you come in.

SPEAKER_02

I love it.

SPEAKER_04

You don't feel me leave. It's perfect.

SPEAKER_02

I it is funny like coming into bed and you just like That's not cute. Yeah, I know she's in that deep sleep.

SPEAKER_04

Unfortunately, I do uh I am a mouth sleeper. It's not cute.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, it's very cute.

SPEAKER_04

I don't think so. But yeah, I mean it there's just so much to buy. I think that's the hard part about having more space, is like you don't want to just like fill it with shit that you don't need, but at the same time, if you don't put things up, it looks like we live in a prison.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, well, we're not in our prison.

SPEAKER_04

We're in our new house. Welcome home. Blair honestly is so excited about this house. He like already recorded multiple TikToks and things that went viral.

SPEAKER_02

Um he's You think it's because of the house? Then we should have came away sooner.

SPEAKER_04

Also, come here. You have something on your eye. Help.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_04

Uh yeah, so I think, yeah, not the house. I mean, it's just you in general, but there's just so much space for you that you're just running all around the house, up on the roof, downstairs, in here. I had some friends over the night, and the player's like, I'm gonna be away. I'm like, okay. Before you had no choice but to leave the house or be in the room. Now you can be in the home, listen in on the girly secrets, but not be far and not be too close.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, that's how I like it. You know, I just want I want y'all to have, you know, a safe space. Not that I would like infringe on the space or be dangerous or anything like that, but you're very dangerous. We got we got there's levels to the shit. Yeah. And I'm definitely on the bottom. You know, you know, my little I try not to say it's a man cave, but I'm definitely right now it is, though. I'm taking over that space.

SPEAKER_04

I can't wait to order that the big coucher downstairs.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. It's gonna be a lot of money. Is it? We're spending money.

SPEAKER_04

It'll be like a thousand dollars. You should get it from Amazon.

SPEAKER_02

You see how rich this woman is? Oh yeah, it's just a thousand. Topence.

SPEAKER_04

A thousand dollars.

SPEAKER_02

Pennies on a dollar.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, in this day and age, a thousand dollars isn't really a lot of money. Because that's just how everything, how much everything costs. Shout out to tariffs.

SPEAKER_02

Terrific.

SPEAKER_04

Terrific. Anywho, so what are you even up to?

SPEAKER_02

Other than coming into a new home, oh um, yeah, it I the countdown has been started, but this is four weeks, big daddy.

SPEAKER_04

How do you feel? How do you feel about being a big daddy in four weeks?

SPEAKER_02

To be honest, I've always been big daddy. So um, I guess legally now, I guess, yeah. Cool.

SPEAKER_04

For the record, I've never called Blair Big Daddy, except for on this podcast.

SPEAKER_02

Lying.

SPEAKER_04

Love that term.

SPEAKER_02

No, um, first of all, I yeah, you we don't uh that's weird.

SPEAKER_04

We don't say that term. I will refer to you as dad or daddy though, to when the baby's like, you know, like go find daddy, but that's different than being like, come here, big daddy. That's like different. Yeah, that's that's weird. It's weird, right? It's weird. You get a little uncomfortable with your hands.

SPEAKER_02

My hands are sweating. No, because I'm thinking about we've got one month left.

SPEAKER_04

Four weeks, and our lives change forever.

unknown

No.

SPEAKER_02

You okay? Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. I it's just interesting to think, like, as the days have gone by, you're the person that has had your body changing. You've been feeling the kicks, punches, and all the things. I've been over here just looking over, like, oh yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Cool. Hey, how you doing?

SPEAKER_02

And I think as each day goes by, it's starting to like really crystallize in my head that we're about to have a whole baby. In our new home!

SPEAKER_04

Okay, I saw please do a compilation of all the times that you said that in this five-second clip.

SPEAKER_02

I gotcha, I gotcha. Um, no, but it what it's been is just preparing. Preparing. We we've we've got the place. We've done not one but two baby showers. We have to talk about these baby showers. Man. Um, and just trying to not be the in the incompetent, uncompetent, in incompetent husband, and just trying to handle shit before the baby gets here.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. I mean, I think you've been doing a fantastic job of getting things done. And also because it was like your last vacation, really, before the baby comes. Like you're off of work. Yeah. Um and uh yeah, there's just something to always be done, essentially, right now, which is fine because I know once the baby gets here, like there'll be things to do, but really it's just our we're gonna be like this.

SPEAKER_02

Just staring at the baby the whole time.

SPEAKER_04

And trying to sleep and trying to figure out how to, you know.

SPEAKER_02

So once again, let's just reiterate daytime shift, nighttime shift. Yeah, you know, I'm fine with that. Completely fine with that. Wait, do I have to like stay up the whole time and just watch them, or can I like those off anime?

SPEAKER_04

No, I think like again, this goes back to like can the question that I've always asked and that my friends and I always talk about is that have kids, are like, do dads actually wake up when a baby is crying versus like when a mom hears a baby cry? Because most people say the dads don't get up.

SPEAKER_02

You know, I um ran into our old neighbor over at the um over at the lost place, and I was telling them that, you know, we're getting the place set up and whatnot, and I I saw a study online that said it would be best if like wherever the baby sleeps, like in the basket, if it was closer to the dad, because apparently the babies can like smell milk, like just all that, all that sniffing, they can smell that. Um, so it would probably be better for the kids to sleep next to the dad so that they can actually sleep through the night instead of just always waking up. Um, but they said, Yeah, uh we sleep through the the crying and whatnot. So it's like it's probably best if you have the baby right next to mom.

SPEAKER_04

But what I will do is like the baby will cry in the middle of the night, and I'll be like, yo.

SPEAKER_01

Hey, babe, babe, baby.

SPEAKER_04

Baby duty.

SPEAKER_01

Please do that.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Please.

SPEAKER_04

That's why you need to get a chair in the nursery, because right now there is not a chair in there, but the baby won't sleep in there, but in the off chance that you don't want to walk down flights of stairs to come down here and you want to like rock them back to sleep, you can be in the the nursery.

SPEAKER_02

I get a rocking chair?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. That's gonna be so cool. But like a cool rocking chair, not like a wooden one that like doesn't have support. Like I was just looking at some online. Also, because like I don't want to I would love to have like a recliner chair that's like big and luxurious. We have multiple flights of stairs. No one's carrying hundreds of pounds of fabric up the stairs. A rocking chair that has fabric is way more appropriate with like a little ottoman. That's fine.

SPEAKER_02

Either way, look, am I boring you? All this talk, all this talk about babies because I'm thinking being up late night and I was rocking them, I was feeling tired myself. I don't think I can have a rocking chair with the baby because I'll fall asleep. I'll rock myself too. Yeah, okay, and get my steps in.

SPEAKER_04

I guess whatever. In oh, huge home! Oh you're such a character. You're such a character. Yeah, the room, I think uh that's the next thing I need to focus on this weekend is uh like what other things I need to order for the room specifically. Um, or like what can I go get at TJ Maxx? TJ Maxx isn't having some I took Blailer for the first time and I think he almost um broke out into hives.

SPEAKER_02

It was it was kind of overwhelming.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

What was overwhelming about it? The amount of stuff or the amount of people or both?

SPEAKER_02

The amount of stuff. Because I and I don't wanna I'm I don't wanna talk disparagingly about TJ Maxx. I I'm sure it's a great story.

SPEAKER_04

Home Goods is great.

SPEAKER_02

Home goods, TJ Maxx, all that good stuff. Me, I've never walked foot in there because I'm a man. We we we go to Walmart and we get like a wheelchair and you know, a bare minimum, rough, rough and rugged. But they got some things in there that is great for the home. It's nice, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Walmart? You don't go to Walmart?

SPEAKER_02

Wally World.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Anyway, they do have some like things that are cheap, which is nice. Because who wants to be paying an arm? Like some of that stuff I'm like, I don't really care. You know? I need to get another like diaper caddy for down here. It's like I don't care if it's $12.

SPEAKER_02

What's a diaper caddy?

SPEAKER_04

It's that thing that holds all the diapers and like the ointments and all that stuff, you know, the one that's in the bedroom.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Because there's so many stairs, I don't want to just have one that I'm bringing up and down the stairs. So I'm gonna have one upstairs next to the bed and I'll have one down here.

SPEAKER_01

On three levels.

SPEAKER_04

I could get one for down there too. And not until we get that couch though. There's no point. I'm not going down there.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. We could have one down there. Because we need one on every level.

SPEAKER_04

In a new home! Home, home, home.

SPEAKER_02

You gotta do a little bit.

SPEAKER_04

I I don't do that. See, I'm not a content creator.

SPEAKER_02

No, let's get though.

SPEAKER_04

Alright, so we had a baby shower.

SPEAKER_01

In California.

SPEAKER_04

Hence why it sounds like I'm still ill, because I did get ill there. I don't know what happened to me. Something bad happened. It all started at downtown Disney.

SPEAKER_02

Being around all those people.

SPEAKER_04

I guess. And children? Is that where I got sick?

SPEAKER_01

Possibly.

SPEAKER_04

And is it allergies? I don't know, but no one told me that when you're pregnant, like you just have a bunch of just like a mucus. It's disgusting.

SPEAKER_02

I think it's because you've gotten so acclimated to this dry desert that now when you go around places with some humidity, you're breathing, you're like, my body's not used to this. You're a Martian now. Congratulations.

SPEAKER_04

It's not that.

SPEAKER_02

I will never just admit it. You're a Vegas gal.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, you love to say, like, oh, you're a Vegas gal now. I'm like, no, I'm not.

SPEAKER_02

Well, when you can say, like, oh yeah, that place is off of like Tropicana and and uh Decatur. I'm like, wait, how do you know about them streets?

SPEAKER_04

I don't ever go anywhere near Tropicana. If you know me, I avoid Tropicana. Maryland Parkway, I don't go anywhere over there. You know that.

SPEAKER_02

Well, either way, the fact that it's not just about having the license, having the driver's license, not having about the plate. But you know, streets and certain places, Vegas places.

SPEAKER_04

I was so mad about getting my freaking California license plate taken away. Now I have that scary Vegas one that has like the Las Vegas sign on it.

SPEAKER_02

Baby, you're a sinner. Not a born sinner.

SPEAKER_04

Ugh button anyway.

SPEAKER_02

But yes, the baby shell was so beautiful. Do you know why?

SPEAKER_04

Because my mom broke her back to make it like a perfect day. And so did my dad. I'm like, mom, she was up all she didn't sleep. Her deficit of sleep on her order ring was like 12 plus hours.

SPEAKER_02

She she really shelled out in mind, body, and spirit and finances.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, they both did, and I just feel they owe them so much. Yeah. I'm getting them a nice sleeper sofa when they come, and we'll do something special for them.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, they have they have a room here.

SPEAKER_04

You have a room here, right?

SPEAKER_02

We didn't even put their name on a lease, but but if they want to live here, yeah, because it's enough space. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

I didn't. Get on you, huh?

SPEAKER_02

Sorry, okay. That is the last time. I promise you, that's the last time. I promise.

SPEAKER_04

If I was listening to the podcast, I would turn it off.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, maybe I can guy out.

SPEAKER_04

No, I'm just kidding. Dramatic. Anyway, what was your favorite part about Baby Shower in California?

SPEAKER_02

Um, the same thing that made me fall in love with you, which is the community that you have. Like, I remember when we first saw that day in and I came to your birthday party. And mind you, it's because we were doing long distance, we we've never really been around each other like that. But when I saw the amount of people that showed up for you and the really the the love and care and admiration, I guess for me, I didn't realize what community could look like in that sense, or how it how it looked like for you. And I was just like, damn, this is this is beautiful. Yeah, I've never seen anything like this. So I knew that going to this baby shower, I would get to meet people that were like your day ones, and I'm talking day ones, twos, threes, fours, all the way up until now, and it was absolutely beautiful. I got to meet your your your your dentist family, I got to meet your your is it nursery, pre-K?

SPEAKER_04

Like pre- yeah, preschool.

SPEAKER_02

Preschool family. Like I'm talking like people that I was like, I can only imagine what it's like for you to know this person since they were a child and now they're having a child. It was crazy. I think I I met one woman and I said, she's like, oh, are you um clearly significant other? I said, no, I'm actually a co-worker.

SPEAKER_04

Why? And she believed you.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

The terrible thing that you do is like this is why whenever I'm around people, I'm like, he's lying. Because he's so people like are so infatuated and charmed by you that they don't even recognize that you're like being a liar. And I'm a liar? Yeah, and I'm like, yo, he's lying to your face.

SPEAKER_02

It's not okay. Maybe it's because of the whole acting and being an artist. I just like to play make-believe sometimes. Um, but I just it's just the social norms, just to just to throw things out there. Like, how can the conversation go if we stare into a different direction? So instead of being like, yeah, I'm your husband and the father of your child, I'm like, yeah, I'm a coworker, so what you got to say now?

SPEAKER_04

And then they just are scared.

SPEAKER_02

No, they weren't scared. They were like, Oh, yeah, uh yeah, I I've known her since such and such. And I'm like, Yeah, I heard she's a like she's a great person and whatnot.

SPEAKER_04

I was just I heard she's a great person. Like, you're a criminal, dude.

SPEAKER_02

She just invited me because we worked together, you know what I mean? Night shifts.

SPEAKER_04

You're sick. No, all right, you are it was the people, so yeah. I mean, I I um yeah, it was like a whirlwind. I don't know. I just felt like time flew by so fast. And maybe it's because there were so many people there that I like was trying to get to talk to, but people started leaving, and I'm like, everyone just got here. Why is everyone leaving? And it had been like four hours, and I was like, oh shit, we haven't even done the cake, we haven't opened the gifts, we haven't done any of that stuff. So um yeah, it's just it's it's cool for you to see those people because they have been around since day one. And they've known like a lot of people have known me since I was like either born or three, four, five, six, seven. Yeah, which is also just like really weird to think about because I just turned 30. So I'm like, that's a long time. People were like, How are we like, how are you 30? I'm like, I if I'm 30, you can't be 30, also.

SPEAKER_02

Exactly.

SPEAKER_04

You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_02

It's wild because it's life and it's just time moves, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, it's um you people always say that when you're growing up, like, oh, time goes by so fast, like enjoy the moments. When you're a kid, you're like, yo, get me out, let me give some freedom. I want to be able to drive, all this stuff, and then it's it's facts. And you look back and you're like, oh damn, I've actually been around some of these people since I was like super young, and now they have kids that are grown, and I'm like seeing them, and it's weird, but yeah, uh, yeah, it was a great time. My mom made this like beautiful cake. Her best friend, sort of like my aunt, came um all the way out of town from Minnesota, which is also really awesome. I actually need to text her. Um, yeah, just people like taking time to come and support, and I think like the last shower that there's just like so much that we've received, and we only we only had to buy like one thing off of our registry.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Um grateful, which is there was like 95 things on that registry, so really grateful. And it's all gender neutral, so we'll be able to reuse it for the next kid, which is also really great. Um, since you want another one, apparently. I I'm you've been saying it.

SPEAKER_02

All I've been saying is I will do exactly what you want me to do.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, but beef roll. Do you want another kid? They want to know. Before the kid gets here, I need to know the answer because you might change it.

SPEAKER_02

I okay. The only reason why I will have 50,000 kids is because of you.

SPEAKER_04

50,000?

SPEAKER_02

50,000 and no less. It's because of who you are as a person. I truly believe I have the best partner in the world. You are the best. And I know sometimes people can be like, okay, this boy glazed it. How great can she be? You really she is the be she is the best. You really are, and I'm absolutely grateful. And if you want me to procreate with you, use me. I will give anything that you want.

SPEAKER_04

Not use you.

SPEAKER_02

Share me. I will literally give you as many kids as you want. Respectfully. Of course, it's your buddy, your choice, you do whatever you want, but I am here for you.

SPEAKER_04

So the answer is yes.

SPEAKER_02

If that's what you want, yes.

SPEAKER_04

What do you want?

SPEAKER_02

I want to give you everything as you want.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, bro. This is why we can't ever get anywhere. Look at him. Just silly.

SPEAKER_02

I just love you. It really is the truth. Um what's uh you because you said three.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

But how do you feel about six?

SPEAKER_04

What? How do you feel about sex? No. Unless, unless uh I don't have to work, then sure we can have sex.

SPEAKER_02

Well, as long as y'all listen to this podcast.

SPEAKER_04

As long as we can uh get a little monetary uh pushback, kickback, whatever the hell you want to call it.

SPEAKER_02

Um yeah, we can have as many kids as you want.

SPEAKER_04

Here's my question to you, because you're like in the industry, so to speak. Uh how consistent do you think I'd have to be on social media? Like, do you think it's enough time for me to just like be consistent on TikTok from the time I go on leave until the time I go back for me to like get a good enough following?

SPEAKER_02

I think it's I mean yes. But the the you have actually great habits of discipline. The world is waiting for you. I I I hate to be that person, I and I don't want to be like, oh God's gift to everyone. The world is literally waiting for someone like you. Look at you, look at her beautiful face, intelligent. Um, what else? Uh got things going on with your life. You know what I mean? You you you're doing things, people and you have a great personality. The thing is, yes, you do. All you need to do is just show up every single day.

SPEAKER_04

Sure.

SPEAKER_02

Me, I got a little bit of that ADHD going on, and you know, I got a job, so there's only so much creativity that I can like discern. But you know, I've kind of gotten a little bit of a following here. My my Instagram is kind of popping off right now, it's very interesting.

SPEAKER_04

I don't know why Instagram is suddenly like cool.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, who knows? But all I'm saying is it's for You, if you literally and you don't even have to do much, you just need to press record. Just press recording.

SPEAKER_04

I think that's the problem is like what do I even what do I even what am I even gonna talk about? What do I even do?

SPEAKER_02

What you're already doing. Just being you. Like you have do you know why I think? And maybe this might be some free game for to people, I don't know.

SPEAKER_04

I'm trying to put them on.

SPEAKER_02

Right. But honestly, if you treated it like a group chat, you know how you be texting your girl and you guys send voice memos and whatnot? If you literally just did that online, yeah, talking to the camera and bringing everybody in, like, because you're building a community.

SPEAKER_00

Sure.

SPEAKER_02

If you did that, like, oh my god, I just saw this crazy person walking outside. What were they wearing? You'd be like that type of person.

SPEAKER_04

That's what I do.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. They're looking at you smiling at you, you know that's what you do.

SPEAKER_04

Judgmental, I am. Anywho, um, yeah, yeah. That's my um that was a goal I made in the beginning of the year, and I haven't done anything with it because there's other things that have been taking priority, but I do need a hobby when I'm on my leave because I just can't be like only watching my baby 24-7 and not putting them in the bouncer and like letting them be by themselves for a second. So there are opportunities. Now my kid will not be online, that's for certain. Uh they can be around, their face will be blurred, uh, or there'll be an emoji over their face. I don't play those kind of games. We don't play those kind of games.

SPEAKER_02

Remind me one more time. Why can't we have our child's face on the internet?

SPEAKER_04

Because people are fucking weirdos, is why.

SPEAKER_02

Well, there you have it.

SPEAKER_04

Not much of a fake, there's AI. I'm like, I don't need any uh no. And also there's no consent. Like, I'm not gonna put my kid in positions that are unsafe when they're not when there's not a consenting um other party in the conversation, you know. Like, our responsibility is to protect a child, and if I'm over here like here, buddy, be in the camera. And this is no shade to anybody who decides to put their kid on the internet, like that it is a choice to be made, and everyone has their own decision. That's how we all have choice in the world, and we have our own families, and we can make what we want to make out of the situations that we have. But for me, I'm like, no, I'm good. There's something that's that needs to be protected. I figure. And the internet's definitely not safe. You know?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

It wasn't safe for you when you're looking at what was it? JJ's Whoa. What was that thing?

SPEAKER_01

Whoa. What is it?

SPEAKER_02

Don't y'all know about parental controls. Do you know about JJ's? Please.

SPEAKER_04

What's it called?

SPEAKER_02

Please tell me. Stop J.

SPEAKER_04

J. J.

SPEAKER_02

You need to be stopped.

SPEAKER_04

Jumping jugs? Jiggly jugs.

SPEAKER_02

You're actually Jamm and Jugs. Okay, we're gonna move on from this conversation. The baby shower was a hit, it was fantastic. And to look back, exactly for the people that showed up for you, imagining, oh, I remember when you were a baby, and now you're all grown and everything like that. For the my for the baby shower that was in Vegas, imagine all of our friends and family, they're still in our lives, and our child is about to have a child themselves. Imagine them being like, yo, I was there at the baby shower. That's crazy.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, we'll not be in Vegas by then though, so we'll still be in touch with we'll be in touch. Hopefully, yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, um, yeah, okay. So now after the baby shower, it's literally unpacking, getting acclimated. Baby, run on new space. I didn't do the thing. Um, how's it been being here?

SPEAKER_04

Kind of weird.

SPEAKER_02

How so?

SPEAKER_04

I don't know, it's so fucking big. I'm like, yo, when you're not here, it's kind of scary. You're not here by yourself at night, and you're not a girl. But what about myself at night? I'm like, spooky.

SPEAKER_02

There's a lot of security here. I like I get it. It's secure.

SPEAKER_04

No, it's secure. And I'm not like scared for my life, but in a bigger space. Probably because I watch a lot of like scary movies and documentaries and stuff.

SPEAKER_02

That's why I says stop watching these murder mysteries.

SPEAKER_04

Speaking of, I have one I need to watch tonight. I think that's my treat to myself tonight. Um, but yeah, it just is a little bit weird when you go from a one-bedroom apartment to a three-bedroom, like multi-level home where you're like running around and have all this space. And uh it's been so nice to be able to like, I don't know, just reorganize stuff and like have room to put a suitcase in a closet. I mean, we at some point in the one bedroom, we just didn't have enough room for everything anymore. And we did a good job of like not accumulating a bunch of stuff.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

But then now you move in here and you're like, oh shoot, we actually need like, for example, the shower doors, because we have glass shower doors in our master. You know how there's all those like dots on the watermarks? You have to squeegee that every single time you get out of the shower.

SPEAKER_02

No, and so now we need a squeegee, you need a power washer.

SPEAKER_04

No, you just need a squeegee. So I'm gonna order squeegee. But it's like I that's why I have to have Amazon packages every day because there's something I need to order every day. A sponge holder, like all these things.

SPEAKER_02

I hate you. I hear you.

SPEAKER_04

But towels, but it's been really fun, and it's been fun to try to figure out okay, what's urgent, what's important. Blair asked me yesterday if he could buy some TV. I'm like, if you can agree to not eat out for the next two months, yes.

SPEAKER_02

Of course. I can starve myself for a new TV. Problem solved.

SPEAKER_04

How big is the TV, by the way?

SPEAKER_02

It's that big. Should it be bigger?

SPEAKER_04

It's the same size. Yeah. So where's that TV gonna go? Downstairs?

SPEAKER_02

This TV is gonna be downstairs.

SPEAKER_04

And then we're gonna have a new TV here.

SPEAKER_02

Up there.

SPEAKER_04

What's the difference between the TV that we have here and the TV that you want to get?

SPEAKER_02

It's new.

SPEAKER_04

It's OLED.

SPEAKER_02

They're both OLED.

SPEAKER_04

I don't know what that means. I just say the thing that you say.

SPEAKER_02

So cute.

SPEAKER_04

You're like, yo, bro, got this OLED TV. They're like, oh man, OLED. I'm like, what are these brosies broing out about?

SPEAKER_02

Like, all you need to know is I love me some gadgets. I say if it's not Barnes and Nobles, if it's not a bookstore, it's Best Buy. Anything that begins with B.

SPEAKER_04

B B L. Okay, so that means that the one in our bedroom is gonna go in the guest room.

SPEAKER_02

The one in our bedroom.

SPEAKER_04

I mean, the one that used to be in our bedroom.

SPEAKER_02

You want to keep that one?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I can just go in the uh in the guest room. Okay. Don't you think? Sure. It's nice for them to have something in there and they come visit.

SPEAKER_02

You're absolutely right.

SPEAKER_04

It'd be kind of s lame if you're like, sorry, I only can watch TV like outside, like downstairs.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, you're right.

SPEAKER_04

You know? Like a hotel room.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah, yeah, you're you're right. So how should we set that up? Oh no, we we can win.

SPEAKER_04

It would just go on the wall across from the window.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, we we can we can figure that out later.

SPEAKER_04

But ultimately, um also we're gonna hire a task on it because no one's hanging up these CVs.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

I I'm not doing it, and you're definitely not doing it. I think I like I was talking to my mom and I said to her something about what was I saying? Oh, I don't like hang curtains or something. I don't like do that. She was saying something about like my dad was helping her hang stuff, and or she'll hang it, and I'm like, yeah, that's a blue job in my house. And I she was like, Cleah, that's not how I raised you. And I'm like, well, there's some things I will do, like carry shit I shouldn't carry. And there's some things I won't, which is hang curtain. I'm like, I'm not, I will pay somebody to come hang a curtain.

SPEAKER_02

Which has been the bane of my existence. But you know what? I gotta let it ride.

SPEAKER_04

But you know what? Beggars can't be fucking choosers.

SPEAKER_02

What have I been begging for?

SPEAKER_04

Just me to stop doing stuff.

SPEAKER_02

I'm having extreme deja vues.

SPEAKER_04

You got it the other night when we saw the Michael Jackson movie. Speaking of, we have to talk about that. Claire goes, we were at the movie, he goes, You have to talk about the Michael Jackson movie on the podcast. You have to talk about it.

SPEAKER_02

That was one of the most conflicting experiences I've ever had.

SPEAKER_04

Conflicting?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Why?

SPEAKER_02

Um, well, first of all, loved the movie. Extremely triggering for me. But I will say, after we left, the fact that you were silent, I felt so sad.

SPEAKER_04

He's pissed at me.

SPEAKER_02

I wasn't pissed, but I'm like this bitch is gonna get left in the ear.

SPEAKER_04

Whose baby mama is this? Because it ain't mine.

SPEAKER_02

I legit was like, she didn't like it.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, but also, mind you, okay, mind you, when Blair talked about this movie, like he bought these tickets over a month and a half ago. When he told me about it, I I was like, I don't know, Blair, that I really want to go to this movie. First of all, I don't like like movies because it's just they just I go to sleep in the movie theater, they're too long, there's always some shenanigans happening, people get killed in movie theaters. Like, I just like don't love it. I don't love them. But Blair loves movie theater, so anyway, he's like, Yeah, we gotta go. And I was like, How long is the movie? Like, what's the runtime? Because if it's three hours, I'm not going. Because at first you're like, it's gonna be three hours long. And I'm like, Did I say that? I'm so sorry.

SPEAKER_02

I thought I said two.

SPEAKER_04

Well, when you checked it, but before we knew how long, like I don't think it was out yet.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yeah, I was thinking if it's a Michael Jackson movie and there's not like a part two or three should be like three hours.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, and I was like, I'm what I'm not gonna do is sit in the movie theater for three hours. I I cannot do that. So anywho, he never said to me, I said to him, hey, if it's long, bring your friend. Like, I don't need to go. But he never really confirmed that I was the one going.

SPEAKER_02

She didn't have a choice. She was gonna see that movie with me. You must be with me, baby. I love you.

SPEAKER_04

I love you so much.

SPEAKER_02

Thank you.

SPEAKER_04

I hate that mo, that's spooky.

SPEAKER_02

This is this is the what would I say?

SPEAKER_04

So we go to California. The timing of this is like also really scary because we we had extended our lease because we had to go we were going to England because of like a situation, like we just we had to go to England in January, otherwise we wouldn't have gone until God knows when. So we went to London in January. We ended up extending our lease until April, which meant that the moving process was pushed back into my like last month of being pregnant, essentially. So when we moved, we then had to go to California for our baby shower. We got to go, but then because I was I'm passing off my store, I had to come back earlier than I thought I was gonna have to come back. So, really, we were gonna come back on Monday or Tuesday to Vegas. I forgot the movie was on Wednesday. Wednesday have a staff meeting. I'm about I have to be up at 5 a.m. and I'm at the store at 6 30. Yeah, you're damn a lot. Blair is like, babe, movie Wednesday night, 7 p.m. And I'm like, 7 p.m. 7 p.m. Michael Jackson. Anyway, so then I'm also not well. So I'm like, it's blood my nose, I got mucus, I can't breathe, y'all can all hear it. And so when he's thinking I'm not liking the movie, he's not remembering I'm pregnant. It's 9:30 p.m. We're in a casino, I can't breathe. I've had ice and iZ with red 40 in it, and I didn't eat dinner and I took an hour nap, but I was my eyes were burning. Like all of that was happening at the same time of us seeing the movie.

SPEAKER_02

I didn't exactly set you up for success, did I?

SPEAKER_04

It wasn't necessarily you, like we had to go on Wednesday, it was opening night. It just it just didn't, it just didn't pan out the way that we would have I would have hoped it to pan out. So I could have given you the response that you wanted.

SPEAKER_02

It's not about giving me the response that I wanted. I'm just saying, like, if you would have had all of those things taken care of and you felt chipper and you you slept for eight hours, you were fed and all that kind of stuff, I think you would have had the same response.

SPEAKER_04

No.

SPEAKER_02

She walked out of that movie theater silent.

SPEAKER_04

But also he was silent.

SPEAKER_02

So it's like what it's because I so you're gonna go off on the I felt, I felt your energy.

SPEAKER_04

Assumptions. See this?

SPEAKER_02

Allegations.

SPEAKER_04

Your honor.

SPEAKER_02

Overall. Look, I felt your energy. You were like, mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_04

I was sick.

SPEAKER_02

Mind you, I think you were over the movie once we got to the movie theater because you saw people dressing up. Which, by the way, I think we got off lucky because other theaters, and I'm not sure if you saw online, people were having dance parties.

SPEAKER_04

Babe, of course I didn't. I your algorithm and mine are very different. Mine is motherhood and nipple cream and breast pumps and all the things that you like, uh, and babies and some political discourse. And yours is Kaylani, Michael Jackson, dancing, choreography, all of that type of stuff.

SPEAKER_02

All the important things in the world, by the way. We gotta talk about that Kaylani album because that album was Yeah, we will.

SPEAKER_04

But you can't make assumptions, okay?

SPEAKER_02

Okay, so let's clear the air. Did you or did you not say that movie was trash? Okay, you didn't say that. Okay, you didn't say that.

SPEAKER_04

I was clickbait, bro. I didn't say that.

SPEAKER_02

But what you did say is, in fact, can I I'm not gonna speak for you? No, no, no. I don't know what I said.

SPEAKER_04

I don't know what I said. I was drunk.

SPEAKER_02

All I'm saying is this. When I was watching the movie, there was, it was very triggering to me because I said, wow, there's a lot of similarities between Michael Jackson and I. And I know that's gonna sound wild as hell.

SPEAKER_04

I know, I know this, but let's just say is that he loves animals, he loves ice cream, he has gotten a nose job, and he's experiencing Vitilago. That's how he's similar to Michael Jackson.

SPEAKER_02

No, what I was gonna say is, and let the cars fall where they may. Michael Jackson grew up with four brothers. So did I. Was it four brothers or was it more?

SPEAKER_04

Who you're asking if you have four brothers or Michael Jackson?

SPEAKER_02

Michael Jackson.

SPEAKER_04

There's four brothers, Jackson Five. There's five of them.

SPEAKER_02

I feel like there's more kids. Okay, anyway. There's girls. Okay, alright. Look, anyway, look, look, look, look.

SPEAKER_04

There's Latoya and Janet who were not Janet wasn't even five boys.

SPEAKER_02

There was five boys in my family. He was the cool one. I was the cool one, too.

SPEAKER_04

You were or you are.

SPEAKER_02

Fuck them. They know what it is. But what I will say is, Dad, if you're hearing this, let's keep it a whole being.

SPEAKER_04

Dad's not listening to the podcast anymore. He's abandoned all of the episodes.

SPEAKER_02

Dad, let's keep it a whole being. You and Joe Jackson will spins.

SPEAKER_04

Who would have thought? Uh who would have thought Blair would really come on here and have uh some political discourse?

SPEAKER_02

It's not political discourse. All I'm saying is there there were a lot of dynamics, and I don't I don't think I'm the only person to experience this. This is what we talked about. Hell yeah, my dad beat me with the foot.

SPEAKER_04

Only you?

SPEAKER_02

Maybe all of us. Did he put no, I don't think he did.

SPEAKER_04

Did he put hands on you guys?

SPEAKER_02

He didn't put hands, but a belt definitely was used. He will probably say, No. I never did. I'm like, okay, alright.

SPEAKER_04

You think you're gonna lie as a parent and say that you didn't do things that you did?

SPEAKER_02

Well, we live in. Do you know what? We're gonna be recalled in that child like it's a Truman show. So they'll see. Who knows? Um, but I don't think I'm the only one that didn't grow up in a family dynamic where the parents, it felt like the parents had the most amount of control on you. You didn't really have agency. I don't think I'm brand new in that regard. But it was interesting seeing, at least from the movie standpoint, the the battle, the internal battle that Michael had with wanting to show up for his family and trying to make things work, but then also being like, yo, I don't want to do this at all. I want to do my own thing, but the dad being like, I what did he say? Uh I already told you I don't care what you have to say. I I already told you what to think. I I've had I had that conversation before, and it's very interesting. But by the end of it, we both came out of life. So the only difference is I'm not Michael Jackson. That's the only sad thing.

SPEAKER_04

I recently saw because the the movie ended in '88, so we figured he was 30 years old at the time. And then he lived until he was 50. But I just recently saw a photo of him, and I don't know at what age he had the blanket in Paris or whatever. But I recently saw a photo of Paris when she was little with him, and my oh my, did he decline quickly in his appearance?

SPEAKER_00

Really?

SPEAKER_04

Because that white, that porcelain white skin with that, because he kept getting more nose jobs, so it became my family refers to it as like a snapping turtle nose, where it's so tiny that you just see the nostrils up, you know.

SPEAKER_02

It was for his sinuses, baby.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, and I saw him with that porcelain face and that because he wore a lot of makeup also on a day-to-day basis, you know? And I was just like, yeah, that's when it started to get scary. That's when I that's when I would need to end the movie or like leave the movie. Because I can't, I can't do that. Here's what I will say, okay? I don't think the movie was trash. I don't watch biopics or biopics or however the hell you say this word. Because I don't, I don't have anybody that's a celebrity that I keep in high regard. Like I don't pedestalize anybody, I don't idolize anybody. We're all humans, we all shit, we all eat, we all have make mistakes, we all are flawed, right? Like nobody is perfect. When you idolize people, I think it takes away your ability to critically think about who they are, how they impact the world, and the influence they have on other people, and you start to be like, everything that they do is perfect. And I don't want to be that person.

SPEAKER_01

Sure.

SPEAKER_04

Because we all have flaws. I wasn't alive in the age of Michael Jackson, clearly. When he was in his prime, I wasn't alive. He died. I was like, I don't know, nine years old. I I was in Catalina Island. I I was everyone was like, Michael Jackson died, and I'm like, Michael Jackson died, we're going on this boat tour. Like, it wasn't, it didn't hit the same for me because I didn't have that relationship with Michael Jackson growing up. And my parents also didn't, they obviously respected the king of pop at the time, but they weren't like super fans. So when I go to a movie to engage in art, and I walk in there and forget what I'm going to see, and see many, many, many permed wigs in ponytails, in many, many, many fedoras, silver gloves, and loafers.

unknown

Iconic.

SPEAKER_04

I'm just like, did we land at Comic-Con?

SPEAKER_02

Yes. Because this is what you're forgetting. Michael Jackson is more than just a person. He's a state of mind. He's a what? He's a holiday. You know what I mean? He's better than Halloween. So people are gonna want to dress up. Like you gotta feel it. By the way, the fact that you said that you were like probably nine years old when he died. Um, I remember I remember the day.

SPEAKER_04

How old were you? Maybe I was like 11. I don't know. I wasn't I wasn't old.

SPEAKER_02

I definitely was working at Quisnos. And when I heard that, I got the lump in my throat.

SPEAKER_04

Child labor.

SPEAKER_02

I had the lump in my throat. And I I said to myself, why am I why do I feel so emotional? I don't even I ain't even pay attention to him like that. But I didn't realize his influence was effervescent. I didn't realize it at the time when he died, but yeah, man. R.I.P. My man MJ.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, so anyway, I yeah, yeah, good movie. I have lots of qu I had more questions after the fact, and then we had a good conversation after the movie was over. Did you did your opinion of my response to the movie change after we engaged in discourse?

SPEAKER_02

I I think I just realized that I was more emotionally invested than I anticipated. I was watching it, I knew that I was like my my pump.

SPEAKER_04

He didn't touch me the entire movie, which means he was sweating.

SPEAKER_02

I was dripping in sweat. And I understand that remember, this is a person that we don't really know, and I was kind of controversial to say, but I'm gonna go ahead and say it. Michael Jackson is my Jesus Christ. Call it what it is, because we weren't there.

SPEAKER_04

I'm calling the pastor.

SPEAKER_02

Look, we weren't there, none of us were really there, other than his immediate family. And then, of course, everyone has their different opinions of what happened. But to find to see someone who's just so pure and kind-hearted, and then have this immense influence on generations, you know. I I personally was like, okay, if we're making a movie about this person, I know that this is a movie, and I'm pretty sure there's a lot of inaccuracies, like there's a lot of things that probably didn't happen, but it's a movie. You have to sell, you have to sell a movie, you have to tell a story. So I'm like, when I read the Bible, I don't know how true that is, but you know, we got the Bible, and now we have this Michael movie. This this Michael movie was my Bible. So wrong to say. Look, all I'm saying is this um, intense, gonna need a sequel.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Well, I don't know about the Jesus uh comparison. Uh, however, what I will Say and obviously I and I love conspiracy theories. I love cults. I love a lot of weird shit because it is the exact thing that is uh human nature, which is like to question what is told to you.

SPEAKER_03

Why? Why? Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Sorry. You said human nature, it was talking about Michael Jackson. It was literally an alley oop.

SPEAKER_04

Is that how you alley oop?

SPEAKER_02

You dunk it and put your whole arm through the room.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, you like hurt your elbow. Got it. Have you ever dunked before? Yes. I don't know. Anyway, back to what I was saying. I love all that stuff. What I really want to dive into, what I'm gonna dive into during my Mat Leaf also is um this like pedophilia conversation of Michael Jackson, because there is I don't know when this sidebar conversation started coming about. The original one was like, hey, this guy is a pedophile and he's doing these bad things to kids or whatever the hell people were saying. I don't know, because I I remember him putting whatever that baby was over the balcony, like there's just certain certain things I remember from like the news. I know, blanket or whatever the fuck. Yeah, I have so many questions. I don't know anything about the details. I just remember seeing these certain things like on People Magazine. But if Michael Jackson really was that wholesome in like internally, like just like wanting to be like have a childhood that he couldn't have because his dad made him constantly work and he just like enjoyed time with his mom. Like, if any of that shit's true, if he like really loved animals and all that stuff, I don't know how someone could just abuse children. I don't know how how that psychology works, but the sidebar argument or discourse was that he was actually trying to save trafficked kids. Have you heard this?

SPEAKER_02

I think I did hear this on on social media, which could be tied to Jeffrey Epstein, potentially. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

So I'm like, that's what I want to know more about. So if you're gonna watch this, if you're looking at this, if you're listening to me, and you were part of the sequel family, who's gonna create the next movie? That's what I want to know. Well, show me Jeffrey Epstein. Okay, release the files.

unknown

Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_02

Oh god. Look, as far as Show me. How much time do we have left on this? It's 47 minutes. Hey! 47 minutes.

SPEAKER_04

What's wrong? Why do you want to like stop me from saying the thing? Why are you trying to censor me?

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_04

Um how would you become a wife? Don't become a wife. Your husband said.

SPEAKER_02

Wow. Wowie.

SPEAKER_04

I'm just kidding.

SPEAKER_02

What time is it, sweetheart?

SPEAKER_04

Time for you to get a watch. 12 30.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, would you like some water? Some bad man.

SPEAKER_04

You did it to me. I like the baby's over here on the side. You see it?

SPEAKER_02

Well, you you were coughing, we might cut that out. But since we're talking, um, so we still can't say the name?

SPEAKER_04

I no.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_04

We can announce it later, but like not now.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_04

What we have to like build momentum and excitement.

SPEAKER_02

So it's more of like a strategic thing as opposed to uh we don't want anyone with the evil eye.

SPEAKER_04

Correct.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. So it's fine to say it on a podcast.

SPEAKER_04

No, not now.

SPEAKER_02

We don't have to say it now, but it's less about an evil eye thing.

SPEAKER_04

I don't know what that means.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, alright. Well, there you go. Okay, um, yes.

SPEAKER_04

You saw me for talking, but anyway, going back to what I was saying. Show me the files.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, um I don't know about all of that. I'm not gonna be like Michael Jackson didn't touch those kids. I am not going to say that. I am the type of person that's like to say believe all victims, right?

SPEAKER_04

Ask him about the uh P Diddy documentary and and what he believes about that. Go ahead.

SPEAKER_02

I've I've never I I didn't watch it.

SPEAKER_04

That's the problem.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, alright, so you wanna go there? Alright, fine then. We weren't there, but what I'm not gonna do is say that someone did or didn't because I wasn't there.

SPEAKER_04

And there's evidence.

SPEAKER_02

Sometimes sometimes evidence can be skewed.

unknown

Sure.

SPEAKER_02

I'm just saying, in the court of law, it's not about what what's the saying?

SPEAKER_04

It's not about innocent until proven guilty.

SPEAKER_02

Well, not in a not in the court of public opinion. But what I'm saying is even when like you have the prosecution and you have the defense, and it's both of their jobs in order to prove beyond reasonable doubt whether someone's guilty or innocent. You know what I mean? Yep. So for me, because I wasn't there, I'm not gonna just say he didn't do it, and I'm not gonna say he did do it. I'm just gonna be like, hey, I hope it all gets straightened out and everyone is taken care of accordingly.

SPEAKER_04

That's a bitch move.

SPEAKER_02

He's my Jesus Christ.

unknown

P.

SPEAKER_04

Diddy? No, what Michael Jackson? P. Diddy.

SPEAKER_02

No, P. Diddy, he did that shit. Why?

SPEAKER_04

Because you saw a video of Cassie getting dragged.

SPEAKER_02

It's not because I just seen a video. In fact, okay, how about this? Oh, wait, I don't want to talk about Diddy. I don't want to talk about Diddy.

SPEAKER_04

Right, yeah, because you don't want to get your ass in trouble. Here's what I'll say, okay? Blair Edwards.

SPEAKER_02

Put Diddy and Michael Jackson in the same conversation.

SPEAKER_04

Because they're there's accusation. They're artists who have been accused of doing things that are illegal.

SPEAKER_02

It's not about, okay, yes, legal and equality. And R. Kelly.

SPEAKER_04

They all have been accused of things that have that are illegal.

SPEAKER_02

But what is- Conspiracy, she's trying to bring the black man down.

SPEAKER_04

Jokes on the Michael Jackson was white. Anyway, I said what I said. He wasn't white. He wasn't white. He's black. Anyway, here's what I'm saying. And we don't have to go into this. We can go into this off the camera. But your argument's flawed right now. Because what you're saying is, yeah, yeah, yeah. I said it. Call me on the case. No, no, no.

SPEAKER_02

We're on a podcast. Go ahead. Talk about it.

SPEAKER_04

What you're saying is, I don't know if Michael Jackson touched those kids. I wasn't there. Right? That's what you said.

SPEAKER_02

Keep going. Don't stop there.

SPEAKER_04

I'm not gonna stop. I'm just saying so far, this is what you said, correct?

SPEAKER_02

Correct.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. At the same time, I say diddy, and you go, oh, yeah, he did that. But you weren't there.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, but what's the difference? What I'm what the difference. Okay.

SPEAKER_04

What's the difference? The difference is this like hair is like sticking out.

SPEAKER_02

I'm alpha alpha with it. The difference is one's white, one's black. No.

SPEAKER_04

I can say that because I've got two parents that are white and black.

SPEAKER_02

Crazy. I love you more. The difference is what they went to court for and what they're being accused of outside those courtrooms are two different things. It's like, and yes, I'm gonna say it, Tori Lanez. He went to jail and was in court and got charged for something that wasn't like inherently linked to what he was being accused of. Say, for example, it's like this is a bad, this is so bad. This is so bad.

SPEAKER_04

Just cut it now, just cut it now.

SPEAKER_02

All I'm saying is all I'm saying is this.

SPEAKER_04

All I wanted to know is how can you say that one of them did it and the other one didn't do it?

SPEAKER_02

No, I okay.

SPEAKER_04

Or that you don't know. You didn't see. I'm like, you weren't with P. Diddy, for what I know, were you?

SPEAKER_02

First of all, we were potting and I was making the joke to be like, oh yeah, he did that shit. I wasn't I was being facetious. It was a joke.

SPEAKER_04

Say that then.

SPEAKER_02

But you but since you're holding my foot to the fire, I gotta say it. What did Diddy go to what did he get sent to jail for? I don't know.

SPEAKER_04

What was he being charged?

SPEAKER_02

Well, that's what I'm trying to say.

SPEAKER_04

What I'm saying is like, who cares? You are doing illegal things. If you go to if you're getting charged for racketeering and conspiracy and fucking rape and sexual abuse and assault, like, and you get caught up on just the racketeering charge, like you still did still did assault. You dragged somebody down the hallway and you didn't care. I mean you smashed her.

SPEAKER_02

But that's a but he didn't go to jail for that. That's what I'm saying.

SPEAKER_04

He should have.

SPEAKER_02

Well, he should have, yes. But what I'm saying is stopped these people. What I'm saying is what Michael, at least to my knowledge, what Michael Jackson went was taken to court for.

SPEAKER_04

Was touching kids. No? I don't know. You know, I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

I'm not too sure, but let's just say that's what the case was.

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

He was found not guilty. The FBI, the police, they scoured through all evidence, taken a whole bunch of stuff to investigate, and they found nothing.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. Fair.

SPEAKER_02

That doesn't make me say he didn't do it. He didn't do it. That doesn't make me say he did do it, but they couldn't prove it.

SPEAKER_04

He was just good at covering up if he did do it.

SPEAKER_02

MJ, please. No, I'm just saying.

SPEAKER_04

I'm just saying that that could be a possibility. Like, it's just like if let me ask you this question and then we can end the podcast because I know that you kind of wanted to talk about Kalani and we still.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, we have time.

SPEAKER_04

We do have time. It's 1244.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_04

So the other day at work, the question of the day was if you if you were gonna commit a crime, or like if you were gonna go away for committing a crime, what what what crime would it be?

SPEAKER_02

For me?

SPEAKER_04

That's a question that was asked. Yeah, so I'm asking you.

SPEAKER_02

You're saying I'm gonna snitch on myself on national TV? Are you mad?

SPEAKER_04

Well, I don't have an answer. My answer would be like be an accomplice. Because I'm not I'm not capable of.

SPEAKER_02

To who? Not to me, because I I ain't did nothing.

SPEAKER_04

No, no, I just an accomplice. I didn't say to whom.

SPEAKER_02

Wait, so do you think being an accomplice makes you any less guilty of crimes being committed?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Nah. Throw it in jail.

SPEAKER_04

If I don't do the thing, like if I if we're robbing a bank and I'm the one in the car, I shouldn't be charged the same way that the person who's in the bank with the gun, with the mask, with the bag of bank.

SPEAKER_02

You shouldn't be charged at all.

SPEAKER_04

No, I I said not charged in the same way.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, but you but you're going to jail.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, sure, I'm an accomplice.

SPEAKER_02

You are going to jail.

SPEAKER_04

But I think I could, I think I could weasel my way out of it. No, no. I'm like.

SPEAKER_02

Weasel your way out of it. Because you think you're pretty. You think you're bad. Yeah, I they definitely throw you in jail.

SPEAKER_04

I'm like, damn, I'm so in distress. I'm like, they just I was coerced. You know?

SPEAKER_02

You've been watching one too many murder mysteries, and you think that's gonna help you. Ain't gonna help you.

SPEAKER_04

Anyway, so that's what I would say.

SPEAKER_02

You wouldn't be my accomplice because I wouldn't commit any crimes. Let's just put that out there.

SPEAKER_04

But I did tell somebody on my team, I said, because I was like, they were like, Cleo, you get to pick something. I'm like, I I don't have an answer. People were saying like insider trading and like these like white-collar crimes.

SPEAKER_02

I'm like, you guys need to get throw them all in jail.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, they gotta go to jail for a life.

SPEAKER_02

But you know what that is? That's premeditated.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Well, a bank robbery.

SPEAKER_02

Conspiracy.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, fair. But I saw I was talking to someone and I was like, honestly, I could see you like being a serial killer.

SPEAKER_02

Me?

SPEAKER_04

No, I was talking to somebody. I said, Oh, sorry, my bad.

SPEAKER_02

I was like, you can be a serial killer.

SPEAKER_04

I don't, I don't think so. But I joked on you.

SPEAKER_02

I could be a serial lady killer.

SPEAKER_04

Ew, uh okay.

SPEAKER_02

Sorry.

SPEAKER_04

I just told the person, she's like, what? I'm like, you're just so smart. Like, to be a serial killer and not get caught, you have to know when to stop. And you have to have everything so, so tight. It's possible.

SPEAKER_02

No. You know what? And this is like the conversation that we were having earlier about David. Once you do something, okay, people don't realize you think you're smarter than yourself. That's what some of these killers and murderers think. They think that they're smarter than they are. So when you do a crime, you think that, oh yeah, if I just dump the body here and then kick over the dirt, no one's gonna find out. No, no, that's not good.

SPEAKER_04

That's not good. That's not good. And it's not good because also, like, this isn't the time the time in place to be trying to commit murders with the technology that we have.

SPEAKER_02

First of all, don't commit murders because you can get caught. Is that what you're saying? Oh my god, you really are throw away the key.

SPEAKER_04

What I'm saying is if you're gonna do some bad stuff, you will get caught. Because most people that do bad things are not smart enough to not get caught. And the human conscious and psyche is gonna get you caught up because either you're gonna be so weird and scared that you're gonna act like a fucking numpty, or you're going to just be so like, I've got this unlock, like, no one can stop me, and then you just keep going, and then that's when you start making mistakes. What I'm saying is, in the case of David, show me the chat GPT transcripts. Cause I know this dude used it, and I love when they bring it out in court, and it's like, how to clean up blood, how to murder a 14-year-old, how to like that's what I want to see. Because I'm like, you guys don't realize everything is attached to a server. Stop looking at this shit. Even if you went to the library, you can still get caught up because they have cameras and they can check the VPN and they can see if you looked up. I've watched these scary things, I've seen them.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, you know what I found out the other day? Incognito browser is not incognito.

SPEAKER_04

Nothing.

SPEAKER_02

They go find you.

SPEAKER_04

So don't look it up.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

So I'm encyclopedia.

SPEAKER_02

I I come from the school of can't get arrested for a crime if you don't commit crimes. But I do know something about the court of law. And if they have enough persuasive evidence to say this person could how many people are in jail that didn't okay, we know that. And me, as let's just call it what it is, as a black man, I understand that I'm already seen as a crime in the eyes of the law to some degree. Though I had to make it easier for them, you know what I mean? But I know in any kind of wish way they could be like, you know what?

SPEAKER_00

He did it.

SPEAKER_02

He did it. Lock away the key. You know what I mean? I'm just like, uh, I ain't gonna make it easy for you. I ain't I ain't gonna go down easy, I'll tell you, I'll tell you that much.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, well, we're not gonna commit any crimes, but what I will say is lock anybody up who we know for a fact has done some things. And you know, I have a controversial opinion about this.

SPEAKER_02

What's the controversial opinion?

SPEAKER_04

Told it at the end of the night, remember?

SPEAKER_02

Oh, yeah. Yeah. That'll be on the Patreon. Um switching guests, because I think it's coming up. I see you, baby. I see you, baby. Um, switching guests a little bit before we pull it.

SPEAKER_04

We have time, we have time.

SPEAKER_02

Already, it's already been an hour.

SPEAKER_04

Stop getting out of my stop. We have to cut out a couple things or maybe coughing.

SPEAKER_02

So okay. Um Kalani. Kaylawney. I've been saying her name wrong. And she said in the beginning of the intro album, Kaylani, K, Kaylani, Kaylani. She dropped an album. Album of the Year. I know if the year just started album of the year. You at least Grammy nominated for Album of the Year. She's in that category.

SPEAKER_04

Has she ever been nominated for Album of the Year?

SPEAKER_02

No, but she got a Grammy off of the song Folded.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, she did. As she should.

SPEAKER_02

As she should. She's been putting in work.

SPEAKER_04

In and around for a long time she's been holding on for a long time in the industry.

SPEAKER_02

I you called me out for this, and I got so I got so cool. You said, Do you know what I realized about you, Blair? I said, What? You're like, you're a bit of a Kaylani stan. I said, Yes. How do you know this?

SPEAKER_04

Because they at least every once a week in the Tesla, you're like typing in Kaylani.

SPEAKER_02

And I'm like, She's perfect. The songs that she's been dropping.

SPEAKER_04

She's perfect. I love her.

SPEAKER_02

I love her. She's not my Jesus Christ yet, but she's Mary. Is she married?

SPEAKER_04

Mary.

SPEAKER_02

Oh. His mother.

SPEAKER_04

Jesus' mother.

SPEAKER_02

I thought you said Catherine. Jackson, if you're nasty. Like anyway, um. I knew it was an instant classic the moment that I pressed play on the first track. First of all, I didn't even want to see the track listed. I was like, oh my god, you have you have the hitters. Wayne. Brent did you listen to the album yet?

SPEAKER_04

You don't listen to me. Twice.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, you did? Okay.

SPEAKER_04

I just told you in the kitchen.

SPEAKER_02

Lil Wayne. Brandy.

SPEAKER_04

Ursher. Ursher.

SPEAKER_02

Leon Thomas.

SPEAKER_04

Macy Elliott.

SPEAKER_02

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_04

Headlining at Coachella next year.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, and this is what I've been wanting to tell her. This is what I've been wanting to talk to you about.

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

I said, I went back to Coachella when who was who was headlining? It was Childish Gambino, it's Tamin Paula, it was somebody else. I forgot. But after that, because I did car camping, I said, I will never go to Coachella again. Not because it was horrible, but I said I experienced it, it was cool, I was on, I was sleeping on the grounds, but I said, I'm not coming back here unless I'm performing.

SPEAKER_04

That being said, does she have male dancers?

SPEAKER_02

I don't think so. I think she might. If she doesn't, Kaylani. Holla at your boy. Holler at your motherfucking boy. I'm gonna be right there for you. No, but I'm not saying as a dancer though. I was saying I don't want to come back unless I'm like performing. My own music. If not my own music, then definitely performing as a dancer. If she does Coachella, I have to be there. I have I have to be on stage. Cause what what's your song?

SPEAKER_03

Oh no, it's a good me.

SPEAKER_02

I'll get look at the cushions!

SPEAKER_04

This is why it took us so long to get set up because Blair was listening to the album and she's like singing it and not doing anything. I'm like, hey, the one thing about Blair is he cannot multitask. And ladies, I'm not sure if any of your husbands can. I don't think they can, but keep going. Blair definitely can't. So anyway, uh he had to turn the music off. But as soon as we have this podcast, I know it's going back on.

SPEAKER_02

It's the perfect album. I'll tell you why the album is perfect. And this is why I've really loved Kaylani. And this is gonna sound like a glazer session. I'm gonna make it quick.

SPEAKER_04

The only person you glaze for is me.

SPEAKER_02

Facts. But the reason why I love her so much is because she has been capturing this 90s RB heart soul. When you listen to 90s music, like 90s RB, there's just a certain like, there's a certain feeling of like love that's in there. You cannot deny it. And then she's obviously been doing the early 2000s. So there's some songs that she's been dropping, singles that I'm hearing, and I'm like, this is just giving me the vibes. And of course, she has like the brandy-esque vocals, she's just got it.

SPEAKER_03

But this whole album, hit off the hit after hit after hit off the hit. Bump, bump, bump, bump, bump. K fucking wa. What wa wah wah wah.

SPEAKER_02

Just perfect. Every single song. Do I have a favorite yet? Not yet. Snow skips though. I can literally play through the whole album. I'm gonna.

SPEAKER_04

Some of them are a little bit too slow, but.

SPEAKER_02

I love a good ballad. But um, out the window, that that song, you've got me singing that song, got me losing my voice to that song. What's the other one? The one with T-Pain is fucking fantastic. Usher, Usher always has like a song that's like, yo, this is just good. It's just great. Um, the one with Brandy, we love cool, we love cool changes. We love cool changes.

SPEAKER_03

She's bringing it, I'm telling you, she's doing it.

SPEAKER_02

Anyway, I would love to see her Coachella. Or be performing with her. I prefer to perform on her perform with uh Coachella, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I mean put it on your vision board.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, can you imagine?

SPEAKER_04

Tweet it so that you can repost it later and be like, see what I did.

SPEAKER_02

Bring me on tour, Kaylani. Bring me on tour. Stop playing. Stop playing. And who you going with? Oh, going out. I said that. Oh, you wearing that. I can't wait to be like all of that. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Blair is really excited. He said we had to talk about this. We had to talk about oh shoot, I almost ripped this out.

SPEAKER_02

Uh I got the vinyl already. I know. It's on the way. Signed to.

SPEAKER_04

Should we put it on the wall over there?

SPEAKER_02

We're gonna put it right next to Jesus Christ.

SPEAKER_04

Oh god, there's a lot of Jesus Christ conversations today. It's like uh, you gonna go back to church, baby?

SPEAKER_02

I just go to the movie theater to watch the Michael Jackson movie. It's fine. Okay, enough. Um, sweetheart.

SPEAKER_04

I believe that you can do whatever you'd like. So if you want to be on tour with Kaylani, we can make that happen.

SPEAKER_02

It's funny, I saw that she was gonna be performing at Live, and I'm like, Go. Yeah, what the baby's gonna be born by then.

SPEAKER_04

I don't mean the baby can be together.

SPEAKER_02

You sure?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Be with my child or be with Kaylani.

SPEAKER_04

First of all, be with your wife or be with Kaylani. What do you think this is?

SPEAKER_02

You're right.

SPEAKER_04

Anyway, she doesn't want your parts.

SPEAKER_02

I don't want hers. I just wanna be a part of the environment. I I I have to. I have to. Or I have to work with her. Imagine I dance with her and then later on I actually start making music with her. Let me be in that whole camp.

SPEAKER_04

Let's just start one thing at a time. First of all, you gotta get you gotta make some music because it's been some time.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. And you gotta album coming out soon, EP soon. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

He's been saying that for the past five years.

SPEAKER_02

It's not a lie.

SPEAKER_04

Right. Anyway, you can do whatever you'd like, okay?

SPEAKER_02

Thank you.

SPEAKER_04

Hey, so we did the podcast. I think blur is off my fucking back because he's been like, when can we? I'm like, we got a fucking baby coming, dog. What do you think this is? But we are back. Uh I'm thinking that we should record the entire labor process and do a little uh Patreon moment. You don't want to see the behind the scenes, pay me while I'm working.

SPEAKER_02

You deserve it all, baby. Um yeah, the countdown has started. Here we are. Technically, if it's week by week, we've got four more episodes of this podcast to the baby's here. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_04

Should we do a podcast episode while I'm in labor?

SPEAKER_02

Hey yeah, so hey guys, I'm in labor right now, but I'm always on hospital. Imagine. Yeah, that'd be crazy. And like I said, I think once this baby's born, we're gonna figure out how to still be able to do a podcast or put a baby right there in the bouncer, it'll be fine. Have them crying.

SPEAKER_04

Well they'll sleep.

SPEAKER_02

You have anything to say, baby?

SPEAKER_04

No, no, yeah. I love you.

SPEAKER_02

I love you so much.

SPEAKER_04

I need that.

SPEAKER_02

You deserve it all.

SPEAKER_04

I love you.

SPEAKER_02

I love you so much, truly, truly, truly. Thank you for sharing your time. I know we have a lot of things to do, but I really love to just have a moment to just spend time with you. And thank you for tuning in to this episode of the Open Marriage Podcast. I forgot to do the intro, but maybe I could do the outro. Thank you so much for listening to this episode of the Open Marriage Podcast. The countdown is on, it's happening, and we are just being consistent, okay? It's the birth of a new baby, of a mother, a father, and an amazing podcast. Get outside, drink your wall, all that good stuff, and uh we'll talk to you later.

SPEAKER_04

Talk to you later. Bye. Kiss me, hoe.
